Oliver on the other hand looked like a happy kid that had just gotten a present as he patted the seats next to him.
"You sit there", I flinched as Sophia pushed me down the seat, sitting next to Blake herself. I looked at her for a few seconds but shook it off.
"I told you, she's crazy about me", Oliver leaned over to me, his whisper coming out far from soft.
"You're an idiot, did you know that", Sarah blankly stared at him and Jason nodded, not even looking up from his food "Agreed"
"Wow, you're great friends. At least I still have Ella", he turned, victoriously smiling at me.
"They're right on this one though", I shrugged and he immediately started pouting, switching gazes between the three of us.
"What did I do for you three to turn on me like this?" he said dramatically, his arms crossing over his chest. He really doesn't see it, does he?
"I think that's something you should figure out yourself", Sarah shook her head and I nodded my head in agreement.
"Fine, can we talk about something else then?" Oliver spoke, the pout still present on his face.
"What do you have in mind dork?" Sarah raised her chin once at him and abruptly the smile disappeared from his face "Like when the next party is? I totally wanna see Ella drunk again"
No, we do not want that.
"Rather not, I already made a big enough fool of myself this Friday" I dropped my gaze to my lap, avoiding eye contact. I don't remember half of the things I did and I'm not even sure I want to. One thing is for sure, we're not repeating those events.
"So you'd say no to wine this Friday?" I looked up at Sarah and I quickly shook my head "No, I'd never say no to wine"
"Just no more vodka for you", Oliver chuckled and I nodded my head, my lips pressing together to hide a smile. He's right. No more vodka. Just the thought of that hangover...
"We can work with that", Oliver turned to Sarah, both of them nodded at each other.
We continued like this for a while, just talking, laughing and eating and I actually found myself really liking this group. I almost even forget that I've only been here for two days.
"What the newby doing here?" I turned around, seeing Daniel walking towards the table looking at me with a scowl on his face, followed by guy who I assumed was Sarah's twin brother. They looked too similar for him not to be.
I ignored Daniel as he went to sit down next to Jason and focused instead on Matthew as he sat down next to his sister.
"And who do we have here?" Matthew smiled at me.
"I'm El-"
"That's the girl that thought she could handle her liquor and had to be taken home because she was a drunken mess", everyone turned to Daniel as he spoke, his face screwed up in distaste as he looked at me. What an ass...
"Aren't you just a big bundle of sunshine?", I tilted my head, my eyes narrowed "Why don't you go sprinkle some of your joy somewhere else?"
Laughter erupted around us but his eyes didn't waver from mine, not even for a second. A grin appeared on his face as he looked me up and down "I'm pretty sure that you leaving the party Friday brought people enough joy to last for a few days"
He leaned back in his chair, my fists clenching as I wanted nothing more than to wipe that smug look of his face.
I glared at him "Screw you, Daniel"
