Unexpected adventures (Luigi x reader)

Chapter 1: a new mansion?

He handed you a flashlight, "really Luigi?"

He rubbed the back of his neck, "w-well it's just in case if their might b-be ghosts, or if it gets dark..."

You rolled your eyes playfully, "oh come on Luigi, look we'll take the flashlights just in case however I doubt we need them." He hooded and opened the door, allowing you to step out first and locking the door behind him.

"L-let's-a-Go..."

You have been walking for around half an hour without stopping, feeling like your getting nowhere. Your legs ached, Luigi was in front seeming to not be tired in the slightest bit. You groan in annoyance and stopped for a moment, almost collapsing. Your green friend looked behind seeing you not moving. "Are you alright Y/N?"

You gave a heavy sigh and put on a weak smile, "I'm fine, just tired is all..."

Luigi then stepped towards you and put his hand out, you looked him directly in the eyes. "D-do you want to take my hand...?"

Your gaze softened as you took his hand in yours, he blushed so much that he looked like a tomato. You quietly giggled as the two of you walked hand in hand. As you walked through the forest, you noticed something strange, it was already dark...the moon was already out, and the surrounding tree's lost their leaves, looking dead and twisted.

"We should be here now," you stated looking at the map, Luigi then looked up from the map and the colour drained from his face, you looked up as saw something you wasn't expecting, a mansion, a scary dark mansion. You swallowed hard and tightened your grip on Luigi's hand, "are we even in the right place?"

Luigi took the map and had a good luck at it, "I-it seems so," he murmured, terror laced in his voice. "Well, here it goes..."

They walked along the path and up to the door, you let go of Luigi's hand and grabbed the door knob, carefully twisting it and opening it, earning a creek. You turned your flashlight on, shining it into the mansion, "Hello?" You called, no answer. "Mario...?" You and Luigi stepped into the mansion, the door slowly closing behind you.

There wasn't a sound, only the breeze from outside could be heard, you traced your flashlight around the room, seeing the pale old fashion walls, looking a bit soaked in some places and peeling off, spider webs hanging from the corner's of the room. You looked up to see a chandelier, loosely hanging as if it was to drop any second. Worst of all it acumen has spikes on it. Luigi was looking at the door under the stairs, one with a heart carved into it, he went to grab the knob but the door quickly covered by vines, causing your friend to be spooked out of his skin.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Luigi muttered, you let out a small sigh as you looked at the stairs, carefully you went up, earning a creak every time you walked on a new step. That's were you saw two doors, one huge door in the middle and one to the left. You went to open the door to the left, however it was locked, so you tried the other door. Locked again.

"Ugh! This is hopeless!" You growled in annoyance, that's when you heard Luigi yelp in fear, you quickly dashed down the stair to see a golden aura floating in the air, a key with it. "W-what in the world is that...?" The aura then floated up the stairs, putting out the candles that were on their stands next to the stairs, only to hear it disappear, "maybe it's a key to one of the doors upstairs?"

Luigi gave a small nod in agreement, still shaking after what just happened, he carefully grabbed the key and placed it in his pocket and went up the stairs with you to the main door in the middle, with a shaky breath he got the key out of his overall's and placed it in the keyhole, twisting it, causing the door to make a slight click. Meaning it was open...

"You ready?" You whispered to your green friend beside you, he nodded vigorously, seeing the sweat running down his face, you grabbed his hand and looked directly into his blue eyes, "just remember we're in this together, ok?"

Luigi gave a small sigh and nodded, a light blush on his cheeks, he opened the door and at that very moment a ghost appeared. Causing Luigi to fall onto his rear end and scoot away, you crawled to the sofa on the right and hid. Just as this golden Ghost was about to hit Luigi, an elderly man appeared...with a vacuum?

You stared in shock as the ghost was being sucked up, you motioned with your hand for Luigi to come to you, he obeyed and hid behind the sofa with you watching as the man was punched in the face and the ghost got away. You stud up and approached the old man, Luigi following close behind, "a-are you alright sir?" You asked. The man looked up at you.

"Y-yes I'm quite alright, ouch, I sure do take a lot of knocks in this line of work..." the old man said, standing up, "I'm getting to old for this Ghost catching tomfoolery." You raised a brow and looked at Luigi, who just shrugged, "anyway nice to meet you two, I'm professor Elvin Gadd, E Gadd for short."

Luigi then looked around the room, "were did that ghost go?" He murmured.

"I swear this house has more ghosts everyday, what are a young couple like you two doing around here anywho?" E Gadd asked, you were about to correct him however you heard creepy laugher, the three of you looked up and saw not one but three ghosts, cooking closer. "Oh no this looks ugly, alright you two follow me!" Luigi swiftly grabbed your hand and dragged you out of the mansion.
