"What are you talking about? You saw it too, didn't you?" Polnareff turned in his seat to face us and added, "You can only see him in a mirror, and when you turn around, he's gone."
"Yes." The redhead nodded. "But anything you see in a mirror is just a reflection created by light."
"I'm not an idiot, you don't have to tell me that!" Polnareff barked. "Listen, I mean this cause I'm talking about what is going on now. If Stands can exist in this world, there could be a mirror world too."
"Polnareff has a point, Nori. If Stands can exist in this world, it is possible Stands can exist in a parallel world, A.K.A, the mirror world."
"There's no such thing," Nori said bluntly.
"Oh come on, man!" The Frenchman huffed.
"I don't think that fact is going to help us solve the mystery of the Hanged Man. Look, Stands are able to destroy other Stands, so there has to be something that we don't know about this. Something that we are missing."
"I still think going after Centerfold himself is our best option." I sighed.
"Y/N, it's not wise. We don't know the full extent of his Stand. He could make it appear out of nowhere at any given time. Therefore, we need to think about this before jumping into a fight," Nori argued.
"Urgh! These Stand battles are such a pain in the ass!" I groaned as I rolled my head against the headrest. I felt Nori move suddenly beside me. Looking over at him, I asked, "What's up, Nori?"
Nori looked back at the steering wheel; his breaths turned into panicked gasps. "The chrome of the steering wheel!" Polnareff and I looked at the reflective surface on the side of the steering wheel, and I instantly understood the cause of the redhead's panic. "The bastard's caught up with us!" Nori exclaimed.
Suddenly, the rear window smashed. Polnareff grabbed me and pulled me down to the footwell of the car, protecting me from the shards of glass with his own body. Nori slammed on the brakes, losing control of the car. I felt the car spin out of control before lifting off the ground, as if it had started flying. Polnareff's grip around me tightened and I felt everything around us go upside down. The car roof made contact with the ground as it flipped round, smashing the windows around us. The hinges of the passenger door broke, making the door get torn away from the car. As the car flipped round again, Polnareff and I were thrown out of the car.
Unfortunately for me, I was the one that was going to hit the ground first. As I braced myself for impact, I felt Polnareff swing me round, so he was now under me to break my fall. Dust flew up around us as he landed, making me cough.
As the dust around us started to clear, I looked down to see Polnareff lying beneath me, breathing heavily. Blood dripped down the Frenchman's face from his forehead.
"Polnareff, are you okay?" I asked worriedly.
"I'll be fine, are you okay?" He croaked. I nodded in response and slowly sat up, instantly wincing as soon as I felt a sharp pain in my right leg. I looked down at my leg and noticed a large shard of glass embedded into my skin. I plucked the shard of glass out and discarded it. I placed a firm hand over the wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding before looking around for Nori.
I saw Nori crawling from the wreckage that was our getaway car. "Nori!" I called as I struggled to stand up. Polnareff noticed my struggle and assisted me in standing. As soon as I was steady on my feet, I limped over to the redhead. Once I reached him, I released my wounded leg and held my bloodied hand out to him.
Nori looked at my hand with a frown. "You're hurt."
"I'm fine, it's just a scratch. I'll live," I said. "Now take my hand."
