After Harry watched Ron enter the bathroom he walked over to his things, grabbing clothes. I walked over to Hermione, sitting on Ron's bed while I waited.
The bathroom door opened, Ron walking out of it in new clothes. Ron leaned against the closest wall with his eyes closed as Harry walked into the bathroom.
Once we were all ready to leave, we followed Hermione out of the common room and onto the wooden bridge. "I can't believe I could be so stupid," Harry said, disappointed in himself.
"You did everything you could, mate," Ron said.
"Yeah, Harry, no one could win against that old hag," I agreed.
"Even Dumbledore didn't see this coming, " Hermione pointed out, "Harry, if it's anyone's fault, it's ours."
Ron continued as we all stopped walking, facing Harry's back, "Yeah, we talked you into it."
"Yeah, but I agreed," Harry said while turning to look at us, "I tried so hard to help, and all it's done is make things worse."
We all went silent before Harry turned back around, "Anyway, that doesn't matter anymore. Because I don't want to play anymore, all it does is make you care too much."
He looked down towards the ground, "And the more you care, the more you have to lose. So maybe it's just better to-"
After Harry cut himself off I asked, "To what?"
He slowly turned back towards us, "To go it alone."
Before any of us could say anything we heard, "Psst."
We all turned our heads to see Hagrid, hiding behind a column at the end of the bridge. "Hagrid," Harry said confused.
Hagrid gestured for us to follow him. We all looked at each other before walking towards him. He began to walk towards the Forbidden Forest, causing Ron to stop walking and whine, "Not in there!"
"Come on, Ron," Harry said nudging him forward.
Ron groaned before continuing to walk, unhappily. Harry jogged up next to Hagrid, "Hagid, where are we going?"
"Uh, you'll see," Hagrid said.
As we entered the forest we followed Hagrid in a single file line. Hagrid led the way, followed by Harry, then me, then Hermione, and lastly Ron. "Any idea where he's taking us?" Ron asked.
We all looked at Ron before looking back towards Hagrid, Harry saying, "Hagrid, why can't you just tell us?"
There was neighing coming from somewhere in the distance before we all stopped in a clearing, watching as centaurs ran past. "I've never seen the centaurs so riled," Hagrid started before looking back at us, "And they're dangerous at the best of times."
He looked back in the direction the centaurs went before sighing, "The Ministry restricts their territory much more, they're gonna have a full uprising on their hands."
"Hagrid, what's going on," Hermione asked.
"I'm sorry to be so mysterious, you four. I wouldn't be bothering you at all with it, but with Dumbledore gone," Hagrid paused while fiddling with his hands, "I'll likely be getting the sack any day now. And I just couldn't leave without telling someone about him."
"Him?" I asked confused.
Suddenly we heard loud footsteps, causing us to back up, watching as a giant stood up. "Grawpy," Hagrid called out, "Down here, you great buffoon."
He started walking towards us, watching the birds near his head fly around. We all began to duck as he clapped directly above our heads, trying to catch a bird. Hagrid scoffed, shaking his head, "Grawpy."
