Chapter 6

"You did all this for me?"

"Mhm." Jaxon nodded.

"B-But why?"

He gives me a confused look.

"Because you deserve it Aurora. After everything you've been through you could use a nice break so I thought we can relax here."

"I-I don't understand...You care for me and do nice things for me but we're just friends, right?"

"Is that what you think we are?"

I nod.

"Oh baby," He places a hand on my cheek making me shiver, "We're so much more than friends."

"Okay, then what are we?"

"Mates."

I've heard of the term before but my Alpha always told me that I would never get one because I was pathetic and unworthy. At times my mind couldn't help but let those words flow through as I had no other choice but to believe them. I never knew my parents so I was all alone until Alpha found me and took me in but it didn't seem like he actually cared about me so that's why I ran. If you truly care about someone then you wouldn't hurt them, right? Alpha did but Jaxon actually cares about me.

"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Jaxon breaks me out of my thoughts.

"It's j-just that my whole life n-no one has ever looked out for me or even cared about me like you do. T-The Alpha that took me in didn't care about my well being, he only wanted to use me for..." I started to tear up as this topic was too touchy for me.

"It's okay baby, take your time." I take a deep breath.

"H-He used me for sex." Once those words passed my lips Jaxon let out a growl.

"That bastard touched what's mine." His breathing was erratic.

"It's okay Jaxon, I'm okay now. You're scaring me, please calm down." I place a hand on his chest.

Soon his breathing steadied and his fist unclenched. He looked down at me with remorse.

"I'm so sorry that happened to Aurora but believe me when I say that I won't ever let him touch you again, okay?" I smile.

"I-I believe you, you're my protector." I hug around his waist, making him give out a growl of approval.

"That's right baby. I'm always going to be here with you. My Aurora, my mate."

"What is that?"

"A mate is kinda like a soulmate, a person who you are destined to he with. To share eternal love and affection towards one another."

"That's what we are?" Jaxon nods.

"I love you, Aurora. And I hope one day you'll feel the same way-

I didn't let him finish as I crashed my lips against his. He was taken by surprise at first but kissed back. Grabbing my waist he pulled me closer to him. I moaned when Jaxon started to nibble on my bottom lip.

"Fuck Aurora," He groaned, "Jump."

I did what he asked and wrapped my legs around his waist. Jaxon walked over to the blanket that was on the ground and gently laid me down on it. Without breaking the kiss took off his shirt and tossed it to the side.

All of a sudden he pulled back.

"It's taking me all I have not mark you right here my love." Lust filled his eyes.

I place my hands on both sides of his face and whisper,

"What's stopping you?"

Jaxon eyes widened.

"Are you sure you're ready for that baby? I don't want to pressure you."

"I'm sure, I love you J-Jaxon." I admit.

His face lit up in joy.

"Do you really mean it?"

Giggling I nod my head.

"I know we haven't known each other the longest but ever since we met I felt things that I've never felt before."

"And what would that be?" He desperately searches my eyes.

"Happy."

Jaxon grinned and pulled me into another kiss.

"Please mark me...Make me yours." I beg.

Without another word Jaxon started to kiss down my neck. I tangled my hands in his hair, the tingles in my body electrifying. He stopped once he reached his destination.

"This might pinch a little."

"It's okay." Nodding, he gently sank his teeth into my neck.

I let out a soft gasp.

"Jaxon." I moaned in complete bliss.

He sucked for a few moments before licking the spot clean and pulling back. When his eyes met mines I couldn't help but stare at him.

"You're mine now." I couldn't agree more.

"I'm yours."
