Us Two And Them

Chapter 41

"Harl your freezing are you okay?" Roman started to rub his arms up and down trying to warm me up and he then placed a hand on my forehead.

I didn't respond I just layed there. He sighed.

"You know whatever it is. I will be here remember 'Us Two Together Forever" he grabbed my hand.

"Rome...I'm scared."

Thats all it took for the tears to fall free again. Roman sat up on his side making me fall off his chest and onto the mattress looking up at him as he leaned over and wiped all the tears with his thumb. Then pulling me into a hug.

Roman ran his fingers through my hair as my tears turned into sniffles.

"What are you scared of Harl?" Roman asked softly.

"The nightmares" I whispered but he heard me.

"I can't protect you from them but I can wake you up from them and comfort you. Harl you need to sleep you look exhausted. I will wake you up I promise." I hesitantly nodded my head.

This is why he was my best friend. He knew not to push me. He knew how to comfort me. He understood me like I do him. Like he said we both got the shit end of the stick. We both have demons. We both hide things from eachother which we shouldn't.

I soon fell into darkness.

Romans POV

I had to check on Harlow. There was something wrong and I was right when I saw her as I came into the room.

She had fallen asleep but I just layed there watching her. Ready at any moment to wake her up.

This wasn't my first time seeing Harlow this low. I've seen her loads of times. But something must of happened for her to be this low again.

One time she couldn't get out of bed for two days and cried not around me but I knew she did. I could tell by her face until she went back to being her normal self. It was like she had a flick of a switch.

The only light coming into the room was the light from under the door leading out into the hall. A shadow soon covered it and the door opened.

I closed my eyes to listen to who was at the door. Their foots steps walked over to the bed. Two people had came in. I relaxed my breathing something I became good at since when we used to live with Mom. Harlow would check on me to make sure I was asleep. But really I wasn't I heard everything.

"I'm worried for her..." The voice whispered it sounded like Xavier.

"She seems like she is hiding something and putting up a defensive wall... trying to push us away incase we get hurt." The other voice sounded like Xander. "I would know." He coutinued.

Someone sighed.

"I wish she would just open up to us. The both of them." Xavier said.

"Xavier its easier said then done. Something must of triggered her." Xander whispered.

"Now lets get what we came in here for. Wheres her phone?"

Someone shrugged which I'm guessing was Xavier. Xander stood the side of the end of the bed where as Xavier stood at the side of the top of the bed.  There was some silence but I could hear some slow movements.

"I found it. Oh." Xavier must of finding her phone at her bedside table  I'm guessing.

"Wait are you sure this is right. Were invading her privacy."Xavier sounded hesitant.

"Look Xavier I just need to check and make sure she not in any serious trouble here. She's our little sister and I just want to protect her. I won't look into anything deep just checking for anything off." Xander whispered.

"Fine here." Xavier sighed

"Oh shit this thing is mangled. Oh Wait until Angelo sees this." I could feel Xander smirk. He literally just went from being an over protective brother to throwing Harlow to the dogs.

They soon walked out. Just as I was about to go asleep myself Harlow started to swirl in her sleep.

"Stop" she mumbled over and over again. I started to shake her.

"Harl wake up."

She kept mumbling. Sweat was starting to appear and tears rolled down her cheeks.

She shot up sweat dripped down her forehead and tears rolled down her cheeks. I immediately pulled her into a hug.

"It's okay it's just me your safe. Your safe. No one will hurt you." Harlow clung onto me until she fell back asleep in my arms.

I soon drifted into my own dark paradise.

There we go Chapter 41...

So this chapter was very deep... I also want to mention that sadly this Book will end soon but not yet. I have a plan for how I want it to end. But the events leading up to that I'm not so sure on.

We got deep into Harlows thoughts today also lets not forget Roman may know more then he let up..
