I crouched on the top of the truck and my heart dropped. Seven black SUVs were parked in front of the truck. The truck began slowing down.
No, no, no, no! I couldn't be caught again. I looked up at the streetlights. I reached out a hand and it bent towards me. I jumped up and grabbed onto it, swinging to the next one.
Bullets sailed for me, but I caught them all with my power. I created a flat circle out of the metal and jumped from the streetlight onto it. I landed in a crouch and sped off on it. I'm sure from below, it would have looked like a UFO. I felt bullets following me, and I was so focused on keeping them away from me and dodging cars, that I didn't notice a big, metal shield coming for me, until it was too late. I tried to dodge it, but it hit my mode of transport and I tumbled off of it. I landed on a car, the windshield shattering under me. I got cut up a bit, but I knew that I would heal in less than a minute.
I got up and started running, but a man with a metal arm blocked my way. He went to punch me, but I dodged. I spun around to kick him in the ribs, but he grabbed my leg with his metal arm. I smiled and pried his fingers off my leg with my power. His eyes widened and I smirked as I kicked him in the stomach.
I started to summon my metal plate, but Iron Man landed right in front of me. I smirked to hide my fear.
"I didn't think you'd show up, seeing as I can beat you in less than a second," I said, my heart beating fast.
"You mean, you could," he said.
I stood there confused, and Iron Man brought his hand up, and shot something out of it. Before I could react, something metal wrapped around my wrist. I rolled my eyes.
"It's metal dumba-"
I stopped talking. I couldn't feel the metal anymore. I tried to take the band off with my powers, but it didn't work. I tried to move Iron Man, but nothing. I couldn't access my power. I started clawing at the metal band. I was still a super soldier, with super strength, but even that couldn't help me take off the band.
Iron man started advancing on me, so I turned and ran in the other direction. I was still pretty fast, faster than a normal human. I leaped over cars that had stopped to watch the show. I had to get the band off of my wrist so that I could get away and move to Australia or something.
Something hit my legs from behind and I let out a short cry as I fell. My cheek, hands and knees scraped against the asphalt. I flipped over and saw Captain America's shield lying on the ground beside me. The soldier in question was running towards me.
I picked up the shield and threw it with all my might at the Captain. He dodged it and continued running towards me. If he wasn't going to leave me alone, I would have to get out the only way I could.
I took a breath to steady myself and started running towards him. He started slowing down when he realised what I was doing.
"Wait-" he began, but I didn't listen.
I jumped onto him, using his abdomen as a boost to hoist my legs around his shoulders. I swung around, bringing him down. I rolled into a standing position and began running back the way I came. I saw someone throw the captain's shield at me from the corner of my eye. I skidded on my knees underneath it, got back up and continued running.
I was outrunning all of them. I was winning.
Holy crap! I thought. Did I just win a fight against the Avengers?
I thought I had gotten away, but nothing prepared me for the bullet that pierced my side. I let out a scream and I tumbled down to the ground. I pressed a hand against the wound and got up. I continued running until I found a man entering a car.
"I need that," I said, handing him a wad of cash that I had in my pocket.
The man started spluttering, but I had already grabbed his keys from his hand and drove off. I needed to find somewhere to take this stupid band off my wrist so I could remove the bullet from my side and heal it.
I pressed a hand to the wound while keeping the other on the wheel. I could feel my body healing extremely slowly around the bullet.
I eventually stopped at a diner. I zipped up my long leather jacket, hiding the hole in my side. Maybe once I had food, I'd be able to think of a way to take off the metal band my wrist. Using up all that power had taken away my energy.
I sat down in a booth in the corner, away from cameras and windows. I ordered f/m and a f/d and started thinking of a way to take the band off.
I inspected the band. It was completely bland and silver, other than a small number pad on the side. There was probably a password to unlock it, but I didn't have time to try out every single number code in existence.
I grabbed a knife from the table and pushed it underneath the band. I tried to rip it off with the knife, but it wouldn't come off. I carefully removed the knife from underneath the band and placed it back onto the table.
I glared at the band on my wrist and stuck my tongue out at it. Stupid Stark.
My meal arrived and I consumed it quickly. Maybe I could find someone who could take the metal band off.
I reached over the table for some salt and my side screamed in protest. I whimpered a little. I'd never had an injury this bad for this long.
I was considering going to a hospital because the pain was so bad, when the diner bell rang, and Captain America entered the diner.

Woah that's a longish chapter. I wish all my chapters were this long lol. Anyways... how exciting is this? Our boy Stevie is in the diner!!
I have never written a chase/fight scene before this and honestly I kinda love it.
