Chapter 12

"OW SASUKE FUCK."

"Oops." He said with a smirk. You flipped him off and walked into the bathroom. After you showered and got dressed, you walked downstairs to see people gathered in Naruto's living room.

"There you are!" Ino exclaimed as you walked in.

"Here I am?"

"We need to get you to your house without anyone seeing you!" Naruto exclaimed before throwing one of his hoodies at me. "Put that on!"

"Sasuke, you take her home and we will pick out an outfit for her," Ino commanded. You nodded and slipped on his hoodie.

(pov switch cuz I messed up and don't feel like changing it)

"Naruto, after we pick out an outfit for her, you and Sasuke will take the rest of her stuff to her house. She can get settled in while we finish up," Hinata said. They nodded and Sasuke walked me home.

"I can't believe you guys actually kept my house... my house."

"No one had the heart to let anyone else live there. Good thing we didn't," Sasuke said as he held my hand.

"This is nice," He said with a small smile. "I could get used to us walking together, hand in hand."

I smiled. "I could too."

On our walk to my house, which was right outside the village, we ran into Sakura and Sarada.

"____!" Sarada exclaimed with a smile. "Good morning! Woah! Is that old seventh's hoodie?"

I nodded. "SShhhhh. Don't expose my existence."

"Oh, right. Sensai told us about the party! I can't wait!"

"Sarada!" Sakura hissed while glaring at me.

She looked back at her but ignored her.

"S-Sasuke? Where are you going? There's a party and you didn't invite me?" Sakura said.

Sasuke glanced at her. "Why would I invite you to a party for (N/N)?"

"Oh. Well, uhm- can we talk?"

"No."

"What? Why?"

"Sasuke maybe you should-" I was cut off by Sarada.

"Mom, let's just go," She said. "You're supposed to be taking me to get a new outfit for the party, remember?"

Sakura looked at her and sighed, before nodding. Sarada smiled at me, then walked away.

(Surprise pov! Sarada-)

"Mom, I need a new dress."

"For what, Sarada?"

"Well... I'm going to this party later and I want to look nice."

"Aww how cute! C'mon, let's go shopping then!" She exclaimed before dragging me out of the house.

While we were walking, I saw __ and my dad in the distance. They were holding hands, and my dad smiled. She makes him happy. I've never seen him smile until recently, and this is the longest he's ever stayed in the village. I'm glad she makes him happy, and she deserves to be happy too.

After that night, my whole opinion of her changed. She isn't some woman trying to steal my dad, she just wants the people she cares about to be happy. She's super cool, I just... I wish my mom wouldn't be the one getting hurt, but I told her I was okay with it. I'll be there for my mom if the time comes.

"___!" I exclaimed with a smile as I ran up to her. "Good morning! Woah! Is that old seventh's hoodie?"

"SShhhhh. Don't expose my existence." She said.

"Oh, right. Sensai told us about the party! I can't wait!"

"Sarada!" Mom hissed while glaring at ____. I inwardly sighed. I don't fully understand why mom dislikes her. She's cool. Dad just likes her... I get that she's hurt but she doesn't have to take it out on ___.

I looked back at her but ignored her.

"S-Sasuke? Where are you going? There's a party and you didn't invite me?" Mom said.

Dad glanced at her. "Why would I invite you to a party for (N/N)?"

"Oh. Well, uhm- can we talk?"

"No."

"What? Why?"

"Sasuke maybe you should-"___ started, but I cut her off.

"Mom, let's just go. You're supposed to be taking me to get a new outfit for the party, remember?"

Sakura looked at me and sighed, before nodding. I smiled at ____ before dragging my mom away. We walked in silence for a while.

"Mom?"

"Hm?"

"Why do you hate ___? She's totally cool, and she protected me from-" My mom scoffed.

"My whole life, I was second to her. Everyone liked her more than me and I could never understand why. She was- and still is- rude, and aggressive, but for some reason, Sasuke always chose her. Then, when he finally becomes mine, she comes back and tries to break up our family. How could I not?"

"I- she isn't trying to break us up-"

"How could you say that?! You're very intelligent. I know you can see it too. Don't tell me she's trying to steal you away too!"

"I just- I don't think that's her intention." I sighed. "Nevermind."
