【?Chapter 34】

Start from the beginning

"Hey!" Polnareff called out from behind us. We all turned round to see Nori, Avdol and Polnareff towering over the co-pilot. "The other guy's over here. He's alive!"

With a moment's hesitation, Jotaro, Joseph, and I ran over to them and dropped to our knees beside the man who was desperately gasping for air.

"Hang on, you have to talk to us. Tell us what happened," Joseph said to the man with urgency in his voice.

The only thing the man could do was turn his head slightly and croaked, "Water..."

"Are you saying to need water? Quick, Polnareff! Hand me that canteen," Joseph instructed the Frenchman with an outstretched hand. Polnareff reached over the for the canteen and passed it to Joseph.

With the canteen in hand, Joseph hoisted the man up slightly. "Here, just hang in there and drink this. Drink it slowly," he advised.

The man's breaths started to get faster, and it wasn't long until he was panicking. "No! The water attacked us!" He cried out as the water shot out of the canteen and pulled the man's face off.

"Oh my God! It just ripped his face clean off!" I screamed in horror as Jotaro pulled me closer to him whilst everyone else jumped back and fell to the floor.

Jotaro rolled on top of my back to shield me from any further attacks from the newly discovered Stand.

I gasped for air as I looked on at the scene before me. The water in the canteen had just attacked us! I glanced around the area for any signs of the enemy Stand user, but I couldn't see them anywhere.

"Avdol? Did you see what kind of Stand it was?" Joseph asked the fortune-teller.

"I just saw the shape of a hand. But I'd wager it's still inside the canteen. I don't believe I saw it leave," Avdol said.

I felt Jotaro shift slightly and I glanced up to see him pull a pair of binoculars from his jacket and look through them with Star Platinum at his side. "I don't see anything around us, let alone a Stand user. When we duked it out with that sun Stand, he was hiding behind a mirror, but this time, the enemy seems so far away. We'll never be able to find him from here," the delinquent said as he put the binoculars back into his jacket.

I looked over towards where Nori and Polnareff were and caught something coming out of the ground right next to Nori. The thing coming out of the ground looked exactly like the water that attacked us a few moments ago. The water formed into the shape of a hand with really sharp claws and the sight of it caused me to have a headache. The same headache when Scarlet Phantom was about to show me a vision.

I quickly closed my eyes and an image of the exact same hand scratched both of Nori's eyes. I snapped my eyes open and saw the hand inch closer to Nori.

"Nori! Move out the way!" I cried, but my warning didn't come soon enough, and the hand clawed the redhead's eyes just like it did in the vision.

I watched in horror as I watched Nori roll onto his back. "Nori! No!" I screamed as I scrambled to go and run over to him. Jotaro grabbed me and pushed me onto my back, his large hands pinned my shoulders down.

"Don't go over there! It's too dangerous!" He growled down at me.

"B-but Nori's hurt!" I stuttered as tears started to fill my eyes. "I got a vision of it happening... But it was too late," I sobbed. "I could have prevented it had I reacted to it sooner."

"Y/N, you need to calm down. We need you to use Scarlet Phantom to track down where abouts that Stand is," Joseph said.

I glanced over at him and then back up to Jotaro. "I... I... Can't." I hiccupped.
