Us Two And Them

Chapter 53

"I'll be there ina few. Bye!" He hung up.

I put my phone down rolling my eyes at Lucas and Xavier.

Lucas moved the table over me so I could reach the pancakes. He sat down in the chair that had originally sat in. Xavier walked over to my side and picked up a remote.

"I'll help you sit up. I'll be slow." Xavier said. I slowly nodded as the top of the bed started to move upwards slowly. The movements made me feel stiff and uncomfortable. Xavier held onto my arm giving me support as it went up.

He adjusted my pillow behind my back making me feel more comfortable. Lucas pushed the table closer to me so I could reach the food. I slowly moved my arm towards the food. Everything hurt and I felt so stiff.

I picked up the plastic fork. My pancakes were cut up into little squares any bets Lucas was behind this. Xavier sat at the end of my bed scoffing his face with pancakes while Lucas kept his eyes on me.

I poked the fork into one of the small squares. Picking it up and lifting it up to my mouth. My arm was hurting a bit too much and Lucas caught my hand before I nearly dropped my fork. Helping me bring it to my mouth.

Lucas ended up feeding me even though I rather he didn't. But my arms were too stiff and sore to.

After about twenty minutes of eating in silence. Lucas phone rang, he got up walking out of the room. Leaving me and Xavier.

I tried to ignore his presence by just watching the TV. But his face looked sad.

"I'm sorry." He whispered. I looked at him for a moment scrunching my eyebrows together.

"I shouldn't of agreed to keep that from you. None of us should of. We are all dying with guilt here. We will do anything to make it up to you." Xavier sighs "Now this makes it worse."

Just as I was about to answer back. The door opened and a worried Levi rushed in hugging me but being careful of my state. While Lucas followed behind. Xavier cleared his throat cleaning up the mess. But it sounded like he was trying to choke down tears.

"Harl!" Levi looked at me and then hugged me again. He kissed my cheek pulling away.

He then looked to my brothers who both had a guilty look on their faces. "Can we have some alone time?" Levi asked.

Just as Xavier was about to butt in. Lucas nodded walking out dragging Xavier along with him.

"What happened Harl?" Levi asked

That's when I broke down in tears. Everything that I had built up since yesterday all came out. Levi sat at the edge of my bed hugging me as I cried.

"I-I..."

"SSShhh it's okay take your time." Levi said hugging me close.

"M-My M-Mom r-relapsed.." I sobbed. "T-They w-weren't going t-to t-tell me..." I took a deep breaths trying to calm down my sobs. Levi just held me whispering comforting things to me.

"..S-So I-I got upset a-and I ran. I w-wasn't watching where I was running and I g-got h-hit."

Levi pulled me back so he could see my full face. With one of his hands he took my face and started to wipe away the tears. "They are arseholes." He said.
