A loud squawk came from above me and I pushed myself closer to the wall in the hope that the falcon wouldn't see me. From the corner of my eye, I saw Iggy run past and I quickly looked up to the sky to see the flacon flying after him. I held my breath and waited in silence.
As soon as I was certain that the falcon wasn't going to come back, I slipped out from the cover of the wall and looked up at the mansion. My gaze shifted over to the gate as it slowly started to creak open.
It was time.
Jotaro Kujo
We were now in the middle of Cairo, and there was still no sign of Y/N.
We had sent a beggar to go and locate DIO's mansion as he claimed he knew the place very well and was certain that he would find it. The old man gave him the photograph, and he was on his way.
Some hours had passed since then, and the sun was starting to set. The man who went to look for DIO's mansion had still not come back, so he could take us there.
"The sun's about to set," the old man announced.
"Didn't he say three hours?" Polnareff asked. "Guess that cocky beggar had a bit more trouble finding DIO's mansion than he thought. Can't say I was thinking this was going to happen at all, and on top of that, we still haven't found Y/N."
"Maybe he hasn't returned because he did find it," Avdol suggested.
"What do you mean?" Polnareff turned to face him.
"It didn't occur to me until a moment ago, but a Stand user is likely to be guarding DIO's lair. We may have put that beggar's life in grave danger if he hasn't already been killed," the fortune-teller explained.
"And what about Y/N? We have our suspicions that she's gone there. What if she's also been attacked by that Stand user?" Polnareff stood up and started to pace the floor and I tensed up at the thought.
'No. She's strong. She's probably been able to defeat it. Either that or she managed to find a way to sneak in,' I thought.
Y/N L/N
I crept through the gate and looked around for a way into the mansion.
As I walked up a path towards the mansion, the door slowly creaked open. I stopped and looked around once more to make sure that no one was around before I decided to go inside.
It was dark inside the mansion. It was that dark, I could barely see in front of me.
"Well, well. Look what we have here," a voice echoed through the halls which made me freeze and hold my breath. "There's nowhere for you to hide," the voice spoke again.
I let go of the breath I was holding and looked ahead. I could faintly make out a figure of someone that was heading towards me against the small amount of light that was being let into the corridor from the setting sun.
"Lord DIO has been awaiting your arrival." The person stopped in front of me and looked down at me.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"How rude of me not to introduce myself. My name is Vanilla Ice – loyal servant of Lord DIO. Now please, come with me."
"Why?"
"Lord DIO wishes to see you," Vanilla Ice responded.
"I'm only here for a fight, not to talk," I spat.
"I didn't want it to come to this..." He sighed before he disappeared and reappeared behind me. "Now, if you would come with me," he said as he grabbed onto my arms.
