29. Ice Mocha with A Dash of Chocolate Truce

Start from the beginning

I glared at him slightly.

"No, I didn't mean it that way. I guess I just... I don't feel the need to be nice all the time and be the people pleaser I need to be. Around you I'm the jerk-head that ran into you and damaged your phone." He smiled. "So what I'm saying, I guess, will you forgive me and let me be your friend?"

I pondered over that a minute after the shock, before nodding. "Yeah, I guess we can give it a shot. Besides, I don't think Declan can take our feud any longer than necessary." I offered a teasing smile. "So, I'm guessing this breakfast is just a one time thing slash peace offering?"

He nodded.

I pouted. I really wouldn't mind this for breakfast everyday.

"How about this?" He smiled. "I'll buy every time you join me for an early run?"

I mock glared at him. "Are you indirectly stating that I'm fat, Gregory?"

"Meaning you do?"

"You and I both know that you're as healthy as I am. The offer was just me not stating that I'd both welcome and enjoy the company," he smiled before taking a huge bite out of his muffin.

"I think I can run on Tuesdays and... " I paused, "Fridays."

He nodded. "Great then. Tomorrow at five then?"

I nodded finishing off the muffin.

This was off to a sweet start.

"So, I'm thinking Gerard's for lunch," Harry said as he finished off his scene and came running over.

"Sorry man," I apologized. "I've got to film during lunch to make up for the postponed shoot from this morning."

His gleeful smile dampened. "Oh!"

"Tyler can go with you though," I smiled at the person in question who looked shocked before agreeing.

The scene we were shooting during lunch took us two takes before Declan was happy.

"I knew my plan would work," he said as he walked towards Dylan and me. "It was bound to."

I half smiled at him.

"Yeah," Dylan agreed. "We're as close as two peas in a pod now. Right Alex?" He wrapped his arms around my shoulders as if to prove his point.

I nodded along though I wouldn't say we were that close.

"Good," Declan smiled.

"In fact," Dylan continued, "since we won't be filming again until six, I was hoping to grab some lunch with her."

Declan nodded his approval as I looked at Dylan questioningly.

When did I agree to lunch with him?

"See ya at five Declan," he called out as he dragged me out of the studio and towards his car.

Just out of the director's earshot, I turned to Dylan. "Go ahead. He's not here. I have to do something."

"Something?" He asked, confused.

I nodded. "Just the scene we're doing tomorrow. I need to check and read through the lines again."

"I can help you then," he volunteered. "It'll be much easier if we practice it."

"But it's not with you. It's the ones with Tyler."

"I can just play the past for practice sake. Just to help you out."

"But-" He cuts me off with a stern look.
