"apparently he was appointed the royal judge a few hundred years ago. he was the strongest monster any one had come across for generations. he was a snake believe it or not. many of his strongest attacks revolved around venom."

"while he did his job perfectly, many would agree that he was arragont, short-tempered and prideful. over the years, humans would fall into the underground. none ever reached the hall alive except for one. they were the sixth human to fall down and had survived throughout the underground until that very point. the two came face to face at this very place and a battle unfolded."

"ironically the human's soul was justice." He added and continued.

"no one witnessed the battle. but everyone knows how it ended. the human was defeated and their soul was taken to the king. everyone congratulated the judge, but what no one noticed was how much he was changing. apparently, something big happened during the battle. whatever it was, it drove the judge mad."

"over time his judgment was clouded. he began to see corruption within everything. every time a monster came, he would find them guilty of something and attacked them. even if they were innocent. the king got word of this, and he was not happy. not one bit. but he couldn't do anything on his own since the judge overpowered him. so he gave him one more chance. a chance that he deeply regretted."

"once more, no one truly knows what transformed him into such a hateful monster. perhaps, he was like this from the very start but we were all too blind too see it. but nothing could excuse for what he did next."

"he went on a rampage. 'judging' every monster he came across and took 'justice'. many lives were lost that day in hotland. breaking and traumatizing families for years to come."

"he reached the end of hotland and almost entered waterfall when the royal guards and the king took action. undyne was just appointed captain of the gaurd and that was her first battle with the title. they were victorious and captured the judge."

"monsters killing eachother was always a forbidden taboo. even when it came to punishments in trial. so we used life sentences. the judge was given a choice: spend the rest of his days in the dungeon or be exiled to the farthest point in the underground and never show his face again."

"he chose the latter and to this day no one has seen him since...."

I stayed silent for a bit while I processed his story. "That's... horrible... Not to mention, the story sounds unbelievable. Monsters are so kind."

"well it's not unbelievable anymore. flowey is evidence that not all monsters are good."

"Good point. Did the judge have a name or was he just the royal judge?"

"he has a name but no one really says it."

"Is this a he who must not be named situation?" I teased in attempt to brighten the mood.

He chuckled "to some monsters, but what really happened was a nickname was adopted for him and his real name fell into obscurity. even i don't know it."

"What's his nickname?"

He smirked "the most genius nickname ever created. sadly i can't take the credit for it. that goes to some other monster. we call him, sheriff hiss."

I smile at the perfect yet terrible nickname.

"You know we should create a nickname for you too. Something good of course."

He rose his brow bone. "like what?"

"Hmmm.... how about... Serif Sans."

"haha very funny. haven't heard that one before. " He sarcastically said and rolled his eyes.
