"Alright!" Luz called out excitement, quickly turning to Amity before she went back with Eda. "Hey, Amity? Don't be too stressed about it, it'll be okay." Just as she was about to walk back toward her mentor, Luz had almost tripped over herself as she quickly kissed Amity on the cheek, making it a little peck, and made her way back to the stove as they both shared a blush. As gasps escaped not only Amity's mouth, but Gus and Willow's too, the room went back to silence except for the sound of slight banter between Luz and Eda with sizzling and pops from the grill.

"I-I-I can't believe s-sh-she just..." Amity her hand against the cheek that had just been smooched, took a second to realize it had not been just a fantasy dream, and morphed into a living tomato as her face reached a deep red from ear to ear. She whipped around to face Willow and Gus with a look of confusion on her face, not knowing exactly how to feel. "D-D-Did she just...?!"

"Yeah, y-yeah she did. Uhm..." Gus was the first to say, Willow look at him before looking out to Amity.

"How do you... uhm... feel?" Asked Willow with a little stutter in her voice. She was honestly surprised as well at the kiss. Despite Luz and Amity's obvious cases of PDA around as of late, she had not expected Luz to take such initiative. I don't think anyone was really ready.

Waiting for an answer? They didn't exactly get one. The closest thing they could remotely even get was Amity giggling as she ran herself back up into her and Luz's room, her hands on her cheeks as she wore this big grin that stretched far and wide. Away with the padded steps of her feet ascending up the stairs, Willow and Gus shared a smile and a chuckle as they sat back down at the kitchen, waiting to see how this human delicacy of a food turns out.

With her gaze averted away from the stove, Luz had taken a quick scan of her surroundings and everyone who was in the kitchen. She immediately noted that Amity was gone and went straight to questioning Willow and Gus.

"Hey, guys, what happened to Amity? Did she leave or...?" She asked, genuinely puzzled at where the young witch had gone. Gus only gave a shrug in response while Willow looked at her with a smug smirk, not believing what Luz had been saying.

"There's no way, Luz."

"There's no way what, Willow?"

"That you're wondering what happened with Amity after what you just did! Oh, it was so cute!" Willow was squealing slightly, clapping her hands lightly together. "A dream to have that happen to me."

"I still don't know what you're talking about, Willow. Gus?" Luz had turned to face Gus who was smiling just as much as Willow had been about what happened despite him not being too keen on the mutual feelings between Luz and Amity. "What is she going on about?"

"Well, you did just kiss Amity. Do you not remember?"

With a loud shatter and a frozen human in the middle of the kitchen, everyone's attention now went to Luz, even Eda's, as they all looked at the broken plate on the ground.

"Luz? Luz, is everything alright, kid?" Eda asked, immediately showing a fit of concern for the young human. It was cute.

"N-Never been b-better...! Hey, um... I know you aren't exactly supposed to stop cooking when you start but... can you man the stove for me?" Luz said with a pleading smile, giving Eda the puppy dog eyes which she hardly ever had to pull on her mentor.

"What? But we were supposed to do these together! I don't know what the heck I'm doin' here." Eda whined, wanting to spend this time as actual bonding time between her and Luz. Ever since Lilith had confessed to her that she wanted to be a mother figure toward Amity, Eda now pushed herself to want to be just like that with Luz. It really did surprise her but she felt she was ready for a title like 'Mom.' "Do you really need to leave right now?"

"Yes! Yes I do! Uhm.. They're almost done! Take the spatula, flip them over, and let them sit like we did for the first side, okay?" Luz rushed, cleaning her hands with the nearest rag that was lying around. "Maybe for about... another 5 minutes!"

Eda sat there in a fit of sadness but not enough to let her kid see. With a quick inhale and a sigh of defeat, she put on an endearing smile and looked back to the grill. "Alright kid, go see the girl. I'll call you down if I need help, alright? I... I should be fine with these." Eda said, flipping the meat slabs on their other side to let them cook, getting the other condiments for the burgers prepped and ready.

"Thank you Eda!!" Luz had run over to give Eda a crushing hug before she quickly said 'brb' to her friends and ran out of the room, her stomping being heard going up the stairs.

With Luz gone, Eda decided to ask her friends a certain question that caught their full connection. "Hey, academy twerps," Questioned Eda with a smirk on her mouth. "She definitely has a crush on the Blight's kid, right?"

"Oh, yeah, definitely." Gus and Willow said in unison. Without thinking they'd do that, all three of them shared a fit of laughter before quickly settling down, the kids now feeling a bit more comfortable and at ease in the presence of The Owl Lady alone.

"Hey kids, wanna try and help me with these? I know you don't know about this food either, but some help would be great, actually."

"Yeah sure!" Exclaimed Gus, getting out of his chair almost immediately.

"I don't see why not." Said Willow, pushing in her and Gus' chairs in before walking up to the stove with Eda, taking in the scent of the meat cooking right in front of them.

"Amity!" Luz exclaimed as she barged through her door, a blush crossed on her face. "W-What was that all about? You j-just-"

"I know! I know, you don't have to remind me!" Amity groaned, her face getting only more and more red, hiding her face within her hands. It didn't do much. "I-I just felt more excited than I probably needed to and so I just ran off and... ugh..." Amity sighed in defeat as she knew she had no argument for this: Luz had kissed her because she wanted to show her affection even more than just the simple confession that happened not too long ago. Amity was originally gonna do it, well, on the lips whenever she had the courage but she knew it was not the right time at all nor the right place here at the Owl House; she was able to mutter up that much in her brain. "I shouldn't have ran off, huh?"

"What do you mean? What was so bad about running off?" Luz saying this caught Amity by surprise. She didn't expect Luz to think of this so lightly after what she had done nor sound so dull about it in general knowing as they both have strong feelings for one another. Luz looked more ecstatic than ever while Amity on the other hand didn't look so happy nor excited anymore and her blush was starting to fade; if anything she was more nervous and anxious and it genuinely worried Luz a bit much.

"I just didn't expect it to be so, well, soon... I know I should be more and more happy and I feel like I'm being such a let down about it, which I probably am, but I guess I'm so caught off guard and it's keeping me at a loss for words." Amity looked to the side, starting to double think everything that has happened. Was she taking this wrong in everyway possible?

"Oh Amity," Luz let out with a sigh, a slight smile on her face. "You make it seem as if I'd only be happy if I were to have your attention when going in for the kiss. I actually am really happy I caught you off guard! Those always give me butterflies, especially in the stories I'm always reading." Luz exclaimed, a big smile on her face. "I'm really just happy that it happened in the first place! I-I've been waiting for so long..." Luz finally sat down next to Amity on the bed, looking toward her while Amity still kept her face a secret. "A-And here we finally are...!" Luz giggled, pushing Amity slightly over, enough for her to tumble to her side and uncover her face.

"B-But you stole my thunder! I was gonna make the first move!" Amity said while sticking her tongue out, pushing Luz back.

"H-Hey! Cut it out, Blight! Don't make me grab my secret weapon!" Luz excitedly exclaimed, getting up from the bed.

"And that is...?"

"This!"

And with the yell of fight from Luz, Amity's vision momentarily went black as she felt impact against her face from something soft, but it didn't really hurt. Amity opened her eyes quickly to see a few feathers scattered across the bed, and Luz with a giant, fluffy, white square. She had taken one of the pillows that lay on their bed, and Amity knew that Luz was asking for war.

"H-Hey!" Amity called out, giggling. "What was that for?!"

"I told you I'd bring out my secret weapon!" Luz said triumphantly, holding the pillow against her chest with bride, her eyes closed as she stared into the sky. "Whatchu' gonna do about that- ack?!" Luz said with a quick jolt, almost stumbling onto the floor as she felt the strong impact of the pillow hit her straight in the face. Oh, you're on.

With tons of fumbling, feathers being scattered everywhere, and giggles to be heard throughout the room, Amity and Luz continued on throughout the night with their pillow fight, not stopping until the other had gotten tired. There were minor injuries, but nonetheless, the girls were having fun and that was all that mattered to them at this moment of time.

Oh, and by the way, Amity won the fight.
