"You know what we should do?" Niall asked as we walked through campus to my dorm room that afternoon after classes.
"What?" I asked.
"I'm gonna take you on a proper first date." he said. I smiled at the idea.
"What do you have in mind?" I asked him.
"I don't know yet." he said.
"Well how are going to take me on a date if you don't even know where you're gonna to take me?" I asked him.
"I'm not taking you out somewhere right this second, it was just a thought. I'll still have to work out the details." he said.
"Ohhh, okay." I said smiling. We walked up to my dorm and went inside. I slipped off my backpack and sat on my bed. My phone buzzed in my pocket and it took it out. It was a text from Maya.
M- Ella, I'm really sorry about everything and I hope you can forgive me
E-It's alright Maya, I know you did it with good intentions. I'm not mad at you.
M- Okay good, I was afriad you were.
E- No, it's okay.
M- Thanks
I put my phone down and looked at Niall.
"That was Maya." I said.
"What did she say?" he asked.
"She was just apologizing for everything and I told her it was okay and I wasn't mad."
"You aren't mad?" Niall asked. I shook my head.
"No."
"You're such a forgiving person." Niall said. I bit my lip, trying to hold back my laughter that was trying to escape because of how weird that sounded coming from Niall's mouth. "And do you realize how much that makes me wanna kiss you right now when you bite your lip like that?" I felt my face blush deeply. Niall came over and sat next to me on the bed, wrapping his arms around me. I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Then maybe you should make me want to laugh at you more often so I'll bite my lip." I looked up at him and he was already looking down at me. He brought his lips to mine and softly kissed me. The taste of vanilla on his lips was almost addictive. When Niall kissed me, I never wanted him to stop, but I knew we had to at some point. He pulled away, maybe a little sooner than I wanted him to, and brought his arms back around me. I rested my head on his shoulder again. I could hear his heart beat, slow and steady. I could smell the scent of his aftershave lingering in the air around us. These are the moments I loved. The moments where we could just sit in silence without it being awkward, and just enjoy each other's company. The thing about Niall is that when it was just you and him alone, he could make you feel like the only person that mattered in the world.

"Here we are!" Niall said, parking the car. He was taking me on our first real date and he didn't tell me what he had planned.
"Niall, this is a park." I said staring in front of me at the large area of grass with some scattered park benches.
"I know." he said, getting out of the car. I had no idea what we were doing at a park. There was no one here, and it was almost completely dark out. I got out of the car and saw Niall at the trunk getting something. I watched as he pulled out a basket and some blankets. We were having a nighttime picnic? Then he pulled out some flashlights. I went over and grabbed the blankets from him.
"What are we doing? Having a nighttime picnic?" I asked him.
"Yeah, is that okay?" he asked. Clearly I came off in the wrong way that I didn't want to have a picnic, when in reality I thought it was the cutest thing ever.
"Yes!" I said. Niall smiled and then led me over to a spot up on a little hill in the park. I helped him lay out the blankets on the dew covered grass and then we placed the flashlights around us. Niall took out the food from the basket and put it out on the blanket in front of us. He had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grapes, potato chips, and water. I smiled, biting my lip as I always did when I wanted to laugh at him but didn't want to be mean.
"Nice gourmet meal." I said still biting my lip.
"Hey, I'll have you know, this is the best meal I've probably ever prepared so be thankful." he said. I smiled.
"I am thankful, this is really sweet Niall." I said. Niall leaned over and kissed me swiftly on the lips. We ate and talked, stole a few kisses in between, and ate some more until most of the food was gone. It had gotten really dark out now to the point where I had to squint to see right in front of me, even with the flashlights. I laid back on the blanket, and Niall copied my movements. He put out his hand and I put my hand in his.
"Wow." I said staring up at the sky.
"What?" Niall said.
"Look at the stars, they're so beautiful." I said.
"They aren't the only ones that are beautiful." Niall said next to me. I turned my head to the side and looked at Niall, who was already looking at me. I swear, whenever I looked at Niall he was always already looking at me. But then it made me question, did he ever stop looking at me?
I smiled at him, and his grip on my hand tightened a bit. I squeezed his hand back. Then almost all at once, he pulled me towards him across the empty space between us until I was laying on top of him. His lips came crashing down on mine and the kiss was heated, never losing it's force. His body was pressed up against mine so tightly that not even a piece of paper could fit between us. He slowly sat up from his laying down position, never losing his hold on me. His arms were wrapped around my back and my hands were running through his soft blonde hair. My knees were on either side of Niall's thighs, I was sitting on his lap, my body still tightly pressed up against his.
I felt his warm tongue swip along my bottom lip, and a sensation went through me, never wanting him to stop. He moved his mouth to my neck, leaving a trail of kisses, playfully nipping at my skin. Then he moved back to my lips, this time slower and less forceful than before, but still just as perfect. His lips on mine were so perfect, so right. I never thought I could feel this perfect with someone, especially Niall. I was in love. I was so in love. There was no denying it. There was no going back either. My emotions and feelings had made their decision, and they chose Niall over everything else in this world. I wanted nothing more than him, all of him. Every day, every hour, every minute......just him.
Monday came around and it was back to classes. As much as I wished I could still be in my own little fairytale with Niall, I still had to do well in school and stay on top of assignments. Niall and I walked along the sidewalk to first class when someone called Niall's name.
"Hey Niall!" Niall turned his head in the direction of the voice and his shoulders fell and he groaned.
"Who is it?" I said following his gaze. A guy our age was coming towards us. I didn't recognize him but Niall definitely did. His grip on my hand tightened. The guy approached us with a sly smile on his face. "What's up man? Haven't seen you in like weeks." he said.
"Uh, yeah. I've been busy." Niall said.
"Yeah, clearly. Busy with your new bitch I see." the guy nodded his head in my direction.
"Hey, don't say that about her." Niall said pulling me closer to him.
"Ooo sorry. Since when did you get to be such a softy?" the guy who I still didn't know the name of said, putting his hands up. Niall just looked off to the side. "Well aren't you gonna introduce me?" he said. Niall hesitated and then took a deep breath.
"Ella, this is Derek." Niall said.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I said sticking my hand out politely. Niall tugged my hand he was holding which made my extended arm curl back. I looked up at Niall who looked like he was about to explode. It was like he had gone into full protective mode.
"Nice to meet you too." Derek said running his eyes up and down me. I all of a sudden got very self conscience. I was getting slightly uncomfortable now.
"Yeah." I said.
"Well, I'll see you around Niall." Derek said.
"Yeah." Niall said as Derek walked away.
"What the hell was that?" I asked.
"He's bad news. I'm serious."
"Well who is he? An old friend, child bully?"
"No, it's nothing. Just please stay away from him." Niall asked.
"Okay, I will. I mean he was pretty sketchy and was making me uncomfortable. I just don't get why you can't tell me why you went into full protective mode when he came over., "
"You don't need to know Ella. It's better off that you don't know." Niall said. I took a breath in.
"If this relationship is going to work, we need to have trust. You can't be keeping secrets from me." I said.
"I know, you're right."
"So are you going to tell me?" I asked again.
"No." Niall said. I laughed.
"Niall come on! How bad can it be? Honestly. I would tell you."
"If you knew what is was, you wouldn't." Niall said.
"Now you're just freaking me out." I said. Niall laughed.
"It's honestly not even that big of a deal. It doesn't matter anyways. It's better if you just forget about it." Niall said. I decided that he was probably right and it was best that I didn't know, especially if it didn't matter in the long run.
"Okay, fine. I'll forget about it." I said.
"Good." Niall said. We walked into the building for first class and found our seats. Class started soon after, me and Niall's hands still intertwined. Niall never let go of my hand for a second.
