"This may hurt a little." A woman who I assumed to be a doctor warned me before injecting me with a purple fluid. It did hurt a little.
It seemed like everyone was busy being tested or given injections right now. Minho was on the thread mill - the runner in him, I guess. And Newt was also being given injections. We shared a quick smile before I looked around more. Thomas was as usual apprehensive about everything and asking loads of questions. And he seemed to be eyeing a curtained portion of the room which I assume is where Teresa is.
"Doing good, Fry?" I asked Frypan as a doctor was examining him.
"Best I've felt in years. How many times have you been stabbed?" I chuckled at his question.
"About 5?"
"Oh hell naw, that's way too much!"
"What did you inject her with?" Newt who seemed to overhear our conversation asked the doctor who was with me.
"Just some vitamins." She said curtly.
"It's alright, Newt." I winked at him.
"And overprotective Newt is at it again!" Minho teased from the threadmill.
"Minho. You're scared of needles right?" Newt rebutted.
"Says who?" Minho scoffed.
"Didn't you almost pee your pants when Jeff injected-" Winston began.
"Winston, are you a part of this conversation?" Minho cut him off quickly which sent all of us laughing.
Our bickering was cut short when another doctor entered the room and told me and Teresa to come with her.
"Where are you taking them?" Thomas stood up and asked, as expected.
"We just need to run a few more tests. Please sit down, Thomas." The doctor replied.
"They'll be fine right?" Newt questioned the doctor to which she gave a subtle nod.
"See you later?" I could sense the worry in Newt's tone.
"I'll be okay, Newt. Don't worry about me." I squeezed his hand before following the doctor out.
