Lina's POV
I laid in my bed with an intense feeling of loneliness. My memories of the events overflowed me and became so overwhelming I felt myself struggling to breathe. I started to hyperventilate so much I didn't even notice the figure that walked through the door.
They rushed towards me and put their arms around my waist trying to control my breathing it wasn't until I started to do so that I noticed it was Pansy. Her voice was soothing and settled me down enough to where I could finally hear what she was saying.
"I'm here Lina it's okay I won't let anyone hurt you" I heard everything she said and in her arms I felt free from any harm that would come my way. I didn't need any guy for me I just needed my best friend.
"Thank you Pansy" I said with a shaky voice still trying to keep myself together. I wasn't one to let my guard down but with Pansy it was natural, she was comforting. "Don't thank me I was worried sick, I don't know what I would do without you Lina you're my best friend and I can't lose you" she said "You won't lose me Pansy you're someone I will always need in my life" I said
"I love you Lina, but you look so bad right now you need some rest before the whore Astoria goes back to being the hottest girl in the school" I laughed at her comment, she always knows how to make me smile no matter what state I'm in and I'm glad she didn't lose the way she was towards me just because of everything. I didn't like the way Draco or Mattheo looked at me. They just saw a broken girl but Pansy still sees me.
"Oh we both know she'll be happy to get back to that" I said with a grin "Goodnight Lina" Pansy said as she kissed my forehead and was getting off the bed
"Wait" I instantly told her
"Please don't leave me I don't want to be alone right now" she smiled at me while nodding her head and made her way back to the bed. She laid next to me and held my hand in her palm. "Goodnight Pansy" I said as I drifted into a deep sleep.
"Please just leave me alone I don't want to kill you" I ran in the other direction away from Draco's father. "I'm already dead! You killed me and soon enough you'll be the death of everyone you love, you're just a waste of space you filthy orphan!" He said as he held my face and sliced the side of my cheek with his wand making me plead for him to stop. "Nobody else will die I won't allow it! But please stop!" He started to laugh "The only way nobody else will die is if you kill yourself first so I suggest you do so before all the blood will be on your hands!"
"No!"
"Lina! Lina wake up! It's just a dream!" Pansy said shaking me to wake up out of my terrible nightmare.
"What happened?" I said "You had a nightmare Lina you were screaming in your sleep, and then you kept saying you'll die instead" Pansy said nervously
"I'm sorry for waking you" I said "Sorry for waking me? Lina I know what happened, Draco told me and I know Theo said not to say anything but I got it out of Draco" she said "I'm sorry I wasn't the one to tell you. Does Theodore and Blaise know?"
"No but I'm pretty sure Draco will tell them after all they're roommates and it's gonna be pretty strange seeing Draco look like someone beat the shit out of him" I nodded "It's almost sunrise try and get a little more rest since there aren't any classes. Draco said he would get you excused from class on Monday if you need it and I'll get your class work so you won't miss anything" I smiled and gave her a thank you before going back to sleep.
Riddle's POV
I left Lina's dorm and was outraged at what happened to her. I wanted to torture someone, no I needed to torture a life, any life, to calm my nerves. I remember the pain in her eyes and that's exactly how I was growing up as a kid. My father would torture and beat me, tell me I was incapable of love and if I enjoyed anything or anyone he would make me watch them as they screamed in pain at the torment my father would give them.
The cruciatus curse was apart of who I was, getting tortured for not following orders or being able to kill an innocent person was normal for me until one day I decided I didn't want to be tortured anymore. Voldemort made me who I am today, but I am strong and with the strong will I have I can make sure Lina doesn't have to go through something like this again.
I need to protect her.
I apparated myself to France after leaving Hogwarts almost near Beauxbatons but far enough to not get caught by anyone apart of the ministry. It was beginning to be nightfall but the streets were full of light. I knew I would find what I needed here or else I would be fucked.
I walked down several shops and made my way towards a dark, empty alley way. There were homeless wizards from the war and one looked at me with distaste seeing as I walked past which I didn't appreciate one bit. Maybe I could finally let my anger out.
"Keep staring why don't you, I'm just trying to find my way" I said to the old man who kept their eyes on me. He had bags under his eyes and a beard that needed trimming while the color of his nails were black and his eyes had crazy written all over them. If he wasn't so old I would've taken him as well. "I wouldn't go through there if I were you, it's not going to be pretty. There's a boy and girl about to die soon enough" he grinned with his gold tooth slightly peeking out.
Finally something interesting.
"Who is this boy and girl?" I asked "Does it matter? They will be dead soon anyways, serves them right after what they did!" He scowled "What did they do?" I questioned
"They made the wrong people angry, always get in trouble those two and this time they'll finally learn their lesson" he said "Well nice chatting with you but you are not useful to me anymore"
"Sectrumspectra" I said making him scream in pain, it me eased me up and I relaxed after seeing the blood fill the ground. The sight of him dying slowly soothed me after everything that happened with Lina I needed blood there was no doubt about it. I looked around and saw the other homeless wizards take their eyes off me and continued to mind their business, fear of what I would do to them.
I loved it. The pain, the suffering, the blood was all my home, my safe space.
I got up to walk down the rest of the alley and turned a corner to see spells being casted by both a boy and girl. They looked my age if not older and scared of death, battling what seemed like three other wizards that were much older.
"Expulso!" The older man said pointing his wand towards the boy and girl but they quickly dodged the spell. I was watching from a distance as it became amusing that three old wizards couldn't take down two teenagers.
"Petrifricus Totalus!" The girl said paralyzing one of the men. "You will die for that witch!" One of the men said
They continued to battle and spells were thrown at both sides trying to figure out who would die first. Until they stunned the boy making the girl lose focus. She was loyal to that boy and I could see the fear in her when she thought they were going to kill him so I did what any person would do and I decided to save him. After all it would benefit me.
The girl rushed towards the boy and shielding them both as they continued to throw spells towards them. She became weaker with each block but never stopped, I finally found what I needed.
I clapped slowly making them all look my way. "Alright then that's enough it's starting to get boring now" I said
"This doesn't concern you we have business to do" one of the older men said.
"See- you don't want to talk to me like that because people who do, end up dead. Do you want to die sir?" I asked looking straight into his eyes but he thought I was joking "Whoever you are if you stand in our way any longer we will kill you as well!"
"Son of Tom Riddle at your service" I chuckled.
Black eyes filled the alley. They all became frightened at the sound of my name which was music to my ears. "What-what are you doing here Riddle? Everyone knows you attend Hogwarts" says the same man.
"See I don't like when people question me and it seems you have a big mouth on you so I'm done with these games" I said as I swiftly lifted my wand and pointed it straight towards him.
"Imperio!" I said "Now on to the fun part, right now I need you to kill your other two friends using the killing curse"
"You can't do that! It's an unforgivable curse!" One of the other men said
"I'm pretty sure what the ministry doesn't know won't hurt them, after all you were just trying to kill two teenagers do they know about that?" I said with my smile going from ear to ear knowing he has to kill his own friends and I would have the pleasure of watching.
"Go on, I don't like waiting" I stated as his friends started pleading, trying to stop him from killing them until he finally shot the green light towards one of them dropping him instantly and then towards the other who started to run the opposite direction of the incident but couldn't get far enough to survive. They laid there pale and dead.
The last man left was crying as he saw his friends dead by his own hands. "Please don't kill me I don't want to die"
"But I don't want you to live either, Avada Kedavra" I said at the man who fell to the floor instantly. I eventually look at all the bodies and felt more controlled, then my eyes wandered to meet the boy and girl trying to comprehend what they just witnessed.
"Ah you two I almost forgot" I said making my way towards them "Are you going to kill us too?" the girl said as the boy stood up "Nonsense, I killed them for you! I only want you to trust me after saving your life" I said with a grin "Why would we trust you?" the boy said "Since I saved both of you I don't really think you have a choice, you know who I am and I'm looking for people who would fight with me to get the power I want and it seems to me you don't have a good record yourself so you can agree to come with me or die just like the rest of them but then this would all be for nothing so I would have to kill you slowly for my own amusement"
The girl looked at me up and down as she considered my offer but looked at the boy for confirmation. They both nodded in unison "We agree"
"Wise choice now what are your names?"
"I'm Maurice Adams" the boy said as he shook my hand "And I'm Lisette Flora" she nodded towards me instead.
"Splendid"
