Y/N's POV
"Why did he have to die!" You yelled into a pillow.
Who are you talking about, well it was the one and only olou.
Your only evidence that could help you capture the mafia group.
Now that he is dead, you were back at the beginning.
You continued to scream into your pillow, until you heard your phone ring, which was on the edge of the bed. You slowly looked up from the pillow and glanced at the direction your phone was in.
You placed the pillow down and crawled to the edge of the bed grabbing your phone.
Shit head who suspended me
"What does he want?" You said pressing the answer button.
"Hello Y/N." Nile said from the other line in his usual voice. You just stood silent and waited for him to talk again.
"Okay.......well tomorrow is the end of your suspension.." Nile said.
"I know that." You replied back with an annoyed voice. You heard Nile clear his throat from the phone and you just rolled your eyes.
"Well as you know, you will be coming back to the precinct and I expect you to be at your best behavior." He said.
"Is that all you wanted to say?" You said getting really impatient.
"Actually no." Nile replied back. You narrowed your eyes waiting for him to respond.
"I know that I originally assigned you to catching the mafia group but now there is a slight change of plans." Nile said. You straightened up when replying to him.
"What happened?" You asked with seriousness
"Y/N I'm sorry to say this but im dropping you from the case and there will be someone else taking your position." He replied.
This is when your mind went blank.
You were no longer apart of the case. Meaning you can't participate at all whether you like it or not.
So This was indeed bad news,
You started to question why you was terminated from the case anyway.
Surely you didn't do anything wrong.
So what was the issue?
"I'm seeing by your silence that you don't know why, well let me tell you." Nile said. You still had the phone against your ear looking at nothing with a straight face.
"I think you know about the shooting, sadly one of your suspects, olou was his name, died from that shooting. And since he died, I questioned whether you suspected the right person to begin with-" Nile said but you cut him off
"If he died from a targeted attack, why would you think that he might not be the mafia group." You said finally breaking your silence and speaking with such seriousness.
"Targeted? What about the shooting was targeted?" Nile asked.
"Do you not see?! Why would someone randomly shoot a damn club, it makes no sense. Only idiots would think different." You harshly said at your commander.
"Don't you dare call me an idiot L/N. Accept the fact that you are being terminated from this case." Nile yelled through the phone. You scoffed in response to his yelling.
"Who would be taking my place? You better not put some mediocre half ass cop to take my position." You bluntly state
"Actually I think she would do the job just fine." Nile smirked through the phone. You paused and waited for him to
Finish with what he was saying.
"Amai would now be the new lead detective in this case."

Levi's POV
Levi was making his way to Y/N's house to "apologize".
Although he didn't want to, he went anyway.
He was walking up the stairs to her apartment/house and debated on knocking on the door. He started to overthink on how you would react to him showing up at your door step.
Considering he did find Y/N as a decent cop, Levi thought that if he just showed up at her door to apologize, she will be even more suspicious of him.
Eventually he knocked on the door and waited for Y/N to answer it.
Some time flew past and she still didn't open the door, so Levi knocked again just to hear groaning at the other end of the door.
Y/N opened the door with a look of pure anger before her face changed when she saw Levi standing there with a questioning look.
"It's just you." She said rolling her eyes and sloppily closing the door to which Levi's hand stopped it. Y/N glanced behind her before turning away with heavy footsteps.
Levi eyed her as she walked to the cabinet of her kitchen. Levi left from the position that he was in and softly closed the door behind him.
Levi then looked back at Y/N to see that she brought out a a alcohol bottle. His eyes widen before making his way to her and snatching the bottle from her hand.
"Give me that back or else you want me to take my anger out on you." She said looking at him directly in the eye.
"I'll rather you take your anger out on me." Levi said pouring the bottle of alcohol into a sink. Her eyes widen and she looked at Levi with a glare.
"That was expensive." Y/N said turning around and sitting on a couch with a grim expression.
Levi looked at her confused as to why she was acting like this. 'Was she really that upset over me pouring out the alcohol' Levi thought as he walks up to her.
"What is your deal?" Levi asked. Y/N didn't look at him once and continued to look at a random object with the same grim expression.
"Why are you here?" She says changing the subject. Levi looked at her with narrowed eyes when replying to her,
"I asked you a question."
"Well I don't feel like answering it." Y/N said finally looking at Levi.
"Then I don't feel like answering yours." He replied back to her with the same stoic expression he carries.
"Cool." She said ripping her eyes off of him and staring at a random object again. This is when Levi started to get annoyed by her behavior.
Levi walked up to her and grabbed her wrist while glaring at her. Y/N looked at him with the most unbothered expression which ticked Levi off.
"Why the fuck are you acting like this?!" He said harshly at her.
"Getting mad now are we?" She said looking at him with the same glare he was showing. Levi clenched his teeth in anger before taking a deep breath and letting go of her wrist.
"If your going to continue to act like this I'm just going to leave." He said looking at her with a more settled expression.
Y/N glanced at him making direct eye contact before looking away.
"Then leave."
Levi sighed heavily and started walking to the door. When he was walking he heard shuffling from behind which caused him to glance back one more time.
She was gone.
Levi turned back around with narrowed eyes and stepped out the door leaving Y/N alone.

Levi walked into his club to see his new group talking with each other on the couch. Everyone glanced at him and immediately got up and bowed at him.
Levi payed no mind and went to the counter of the bar.
"Serve me one." Levi said glancing at Jean. Jean instantly nodded and went behind the counter to prepare a drink for his boss.
"Boss we got a message from amai today." A boy with blonde hair and blue eyes said. Levi didn't bother to look at the boys direction when replying to him
"And why should I care?"
"Well this seems like very good news. It's about the mafia group case at the precinct." The blond haired boy said reading through the tablet he received the message on.
Levi glanced at the boy with narrowed eyes.
"What about it?" Levi asked.
"Apparently amai is now the new lead detective in the case." The blue eyed boy said. Jean came back with Levi's drink and placed it down on the counter for him.
Levi's eyes widen and he walked up to the boy snatching the tablet away from him. Jean stood at the counter with an awkward expression because Levi just left his drink there.
"Okay....guess I made that for nothing." He said walking from the the back of the counter and going to the group.
Levi's continued to scroll through the messages he received from amai with slightly wide eyes.
Was this the reason why she was acting like this today?
Levi thought as he came to the end of amai messages.
"Considering by the way this is going boss, it seems as tho the cop that we're facing has no chance of winning against us since he/she can't physically take part of this case, making that person powerless against us." The blonde haired boy spoke with such precision.
Levi glanced at the boy again.
"Her name is Y/N." Levi said turning around and taking the alcohol cup that was on the counter.
"Wait you mean that hot ass lady that came to the club the other day and that you kicked out?" Jean says with wide eyes. Levi didn't bother looking at Jean but just nodded as response.
"Damn she's a cop too! that makes it even more of a reason to love her." Jean says with blush across his face thinking about Y/N
"Shut up horse face. If you think you would ever have a chance your wrong."
Jean's love paradise instantly stopped hearing the voice of his annoying comrade Eren.
"Are you implying that you would have a better chance with her, shit face?" Jean said raising his tone. Eren smirked slightly while getting closer to Jean.
"I bet I would." He said. Jean had enough and decided to lift his fist up preparing to hit Eren but a voice cut him off.
"Enough!!" Levi yelled at the two boys. Jean's eyes widen and he quickly dropped his hand down bowing to his boss. Eren did the same as he saw his boss with an annoyed expression.
Everyone that was watching the whole interaction tried their best not to giggle at the two boys who were still bowing. Levi rolled his eyes at their behavior before walking to the stairs.
"Boss before you go, what should we do?" A girl with auburn hair said. Levi didn't glance back once but continued to walk up the stairs.
"Go home."
And with that he left them and went to his office.

Levi paced around his room thinking about the messages amai sent him about her being the new lead detective in the case now.
He then thought about Y/N and how she felt might've about the situation.
He then came to the conclusion to why you were acting so grim today.
It was all because she was now exempted from the case making her hard-work for nothing.
Although Y/N might not think of it that way, he sure did considering how challenging it was for him to even kill her.
Levi stopped moving and stood Behind his chair looking at his office.
He looked at the bunch of paperwork at his desk revolving around Y/N which he carefully picked up and eyed it fully. He examined the new plans on his take to stop Y/N, which was currently not useful anymore so he ripped up the papers and threw it away in bin.
Levi then looked at the mask that he kept for when he went to the ball with her. He picked it up and started to turn it around to where the front of the mask was now facing him.
Levi looked at it carefully before walking to the bin and throwing it away.
He cleaned out everything that was involving Y/N.
There was no point on keeping everything now that she was no longer a big problem for him.
But the more he continued to think about it, the more he knows it didn't end
This was just a blocked game.
Although she did lose her position in the case and it does seem bad on her part,
How was that going to stop her?
Levi was now in the middle of his office with the lights off and the only source of light was the moon that was shining in threw the window.
He began taking his leave by walking to the door. Levi stopped with his hand gripped on the door knob.
Levi glanced to the right of him to see a chess game that was finished with the black piece as the last one standing and with the white one knocked out. He narrowed his eyes while releasing his grip from the door and making his way to the chess game.
Levi picked up the white king and set it back to where it was still standing up.
"I haven't won yet." Levi said while turning back and finally exiting the door of his office.
And sure was he right,
Because in another location there was a girl who was still on her computer looking for more evidence that she could find.
