Third Persons POV
"We've been following them for only an hour. How could we lose those two?" Kortopi asked, not believing that he and Feitan couldn't follow a simple order from Chrollo. "You know, we could just go to Heavens Arena and wait for them there," Feitan suggested.
"Boss said to follow Hisoka and (Y/N), not go to their destination and wait. We'll be betraying the whole idea of the mission. Besides, you'll get out of control, anyway, Feitan," Kortopi snapped.
"Well, we can't just look for them as a couple of lost dogs. We're going to have to—"
"There they are," Kortopi interrupted Feitan and pointed out the little girl and the magician, who was sitting at a table a few meters away from them. "Nevermind then..." Feitan sighed, really hoping to use one of his plans.
"Do you think they noticed us?" Kortopi asked while staring at Hisoka and (Y/N). (Y/N) turned her head for a second and noticed Feitan and Kortopi glancing at her. She waved at them and went back to eating her food.
"We seemed noticeable to me..." Feitan sarcastically said. Hisoka chuckled and looked at Feitan and Kortopi from behind a building in a dark alley. "You see, my little fruit, the quirks of being a Transmuter is— you never run out of ideas~.☆"
Hisoka snapped his fingers and summoned one of his Nen abilities: Texture Surprise.
"Well, then... Shall we get going~?" Hisoka offered (Y/N) his hand, and she gently took it. The two started walking together and went further down the alley towards the city.
'An Emitter never runs out of ideas, either.' (Y/N) turned back around and looked at the dead body of another Shurah she had just killed with her Acid when Hisoka wasn't looking.
(Y/N) smiled devilishly under her mask and smiled at Hisoka, who smiled back. "You're going to enjoy the fascinating sights inside the arena, my dear. There's so much— Oh~ What's the word~? Yes: Interesting~."
'We both have a 'very' different definitive to describe that word...' (Y/N) wrestled in front of Hisoka to avoid his blood lust and continued walking to Heavens Arena. "Say, you remind me so much of Illumi's brother. You two would probably hit it off if you meet~."
'How many brothers does Hisoka's boyfriend have again? Two.? Three.?' (Y/N) got bored quickly out of her mind and pulled out a freshly wrapped cinnamon bun from her pocket and took a large bite out of it.
'Wait— Are Hisoka and Illumi even dating? Meh. I'll ask Killua.' "Hey, (Y/N)!" Gon and Killua yelled simultaneously, running towards (Y/N). 'Oh, never mind then!' (Y/N) waved back as Gon and Killua came over.
"Hey! What are you still doing here?!" Killua pointed at Hisoka, who was trying to enjoy his day. "Oh, me~? (Y/N) and I was just having fun~☆" (Y/N) glanced at Hisoka and whispered in Killua's ear.
Killua's eyes shot open, and he started bursting out laughing. "What's so funny?" Gon asked. Killua whispered in Gon's ear, but Gon just stared at Hisoka clueless. "Oh! So that's why Illumi gave me a letter with your name on it, back at the Hunter Exam!"
Gon pulled out a pink envelope with Hisoka's name imprinted with cursive letters on the back of it. (Y/N) banged her head against the table and watched as Hisoka read the letter. 'Who knew Illumi could write love letters...'
(Y/N) looked down in her lap and pulled out a torn-up envelope from when she lived in her village. She blushed and put it away before anyone could see it. (Y/N) shook Hisoka's arm and pointed at Kortopi and Feitan, who were right around the corner.
"Well, looks like we better get going~ Don't worry, she'll meet you at Heavens Arena~" Hisoka picked (Y/N) up and jumped high onto the nearest building. "What's his problem?" Killua asked Gon.
"I'm not sure... Hey! Did you see those two people around that corner who were wearing funny clothing? They kept staring at us." Gon shivered in fear as Killua shook his head. "They were probably staring at Hisoka. Come on. We better get going if we want to make it to the Arena."
~flashback~
(Y/N) crept behind the corner of a food stand, watching a young boy from a distance. She blushed and looked down at the pink envelope she had hiding in her pocket and now resting between her fingers.
"Hey, Imōto!" (Y/N)'s big sister tapped her on the shoulder, making (Y/N) jump and turn around. "What are you doing?" (Y/N)'s older sister: Asunichi, giggled and glanced down at the pink letter that was hiding behind (Y/N)'s back.
"Um— Well, I—I was going to—"
"You haven't given him the letter yet?" Asunichi smirked and crossed her arms. "I'm going to..." (Y/N) turned back around and stared at the boy with who she has been friends for several years.
Now that (Y/N) has turned 13-years-old, she was finally going to ask her crush out. "Well, what are you waiting for, Little sister? Go for it!" Asunichi pushed (Y/N) out of the building's shadow, coincidentally bumping (Y/N) into her crush.
"Oh! Hello, (Y/N). How are you today?" The boys asked.
"H—Hello, Kazuko... I'm doing fine, thank you." (Y/N) smiled and tried hard not to let her emotions get the better of her. "What you got there?" The boy, known as Kazuko, gestures his blue eyes towards the pink envelope that (Y/N) was holding.
"Oh— this? Uh— It's for— for you. Here!" (Y/N) tightly shut her eyes, feeling the letter got taken out of her hands. "This is for me?" Kazuko smiled and was about to open up the letter until—
"THEY'RE HERE!" A woman shrieked, cowardly pointing at the people in cloaks walking down the trail from the temple in the mountain above the village. "The Shurah.?" Kazuko faintly whispered in terror.
(Y/N) spotted one Shurah staring at her through their cloak and whispering to another Shurah walking next to them. "THERE! OVER THERE!" Another woman shrieked, who turned out to be (Y/N)'s mother, pointed at her daughter.
"Come on!" Kazuko grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and started running across the village. "But, Kazuko— your letter!" (Y/N) yelled, looking at the pink envelope that was hanging out of Kazuko's pocket.
Kazuko and (Y/N) were running away. "It's alright. I can always read it later." Kazuko smiled and turned around to look at (Y/N) blushing expression. "(Y/N)! Look out!" Kazuko warned her, but it was too late.
The Shurah came up from behind (Y/N) and picked her up. "(Y/N)!"
"Kazuko!" (Y/N) tried to slip out of the Shurah's arms and caught onto the pink envelope that was hanging from Kazuko's pocket. "Hang on, (Y/N)!" Kazuko grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and attempted to pull her back.
Kazuko fell due to the Shurah's strength, causing the letter to rip, but (Y/N) never let go of the piece of the envelope. "(Y/N) (L/N). You got scheduled by (M/N) and (D/N) (L/N) to get executed this evening."
The Shurah whispered as another Shurah kicked Kazuko back against a tree and walked away with (Y/N) and the group of Shurah. "(Y/N)..." Kazuko groaned and watched his friend get taken away.
"Kazuko..." (Y/N) got slapped with a mask over her mouth and watched as her lover was bleeding against a tree before she lost consciousness.
~flashback ends~
(Y/N) sighed and looked outside the large window of Hisoka's room in Heavens Arena. "You ready to see a real fight~? I got to say, it's more exciting than the Hunter Exam~" Hisoka smiled at (Y/N) in the reflection of the window.
'We've been here for 18 minutes. How did you change clothes so quickly?' (Y/N) rolled her eyes at the magician and looked down at the half-ripped letter in her pocket. 'Kazuko...'
