After the winter break school resume Aether and I where now dating we walk into school Aether was smiling clinging to my arm being all lovey dovey I didn't mind it was adorable.
But as soon as we walk in everyone had eyes on us in surprise and shock. Except for a few of our friends who knew.
"Hey Aether! Xiao! So wanna tell us the news? Cause you both seem pretty close." Shouted Bennett. Aether blushes and smiles cutely.
"Xiao and I are dating. he is my important someone that I've been searching for a long time." You can tell the people who where huge fans and listen to Aether's music did not approve and where not happy what so ever.
"Ew why would date him he's all emo and edgy also liking boys is just wrong as well why not date a cute girl like me" we all stare at her. Xingqiu Chongyun and Bennett shot her glances that they wanted to kill her.
"Now now girly don't you think your being a bit rude as well as homophobic..." The girl blushes and smiles.
" Gasp! Childe senpai you can agree though right besides I'm sure a cute boy like that is Willing to have a girlfriend a beautiful as me. Besides alot of girls would die for you or scaramouche even lady Signora and lord Dottore...not just that but earlier I tried to suduce Mr. Zhongli" Childe's face darkens after she mentioned Zhongli...and grabs her by the hair.
"Listen here you little ungrateful bitch Zhongli Sensei is mine touch him I'll kill you and don't go talking shit about males liking other males because I so happen to be gay you little homophobic price of trash. So what if Those two are dating to be honest they are fated lovers. So leave them be." Aether and I mouth the words thanks to him. And he nodded.
"I'm going to the principal and telling you that your bullying me." Childe smirks
"good luck with that principal Azhdaha is on my side. And is Zhongli Sensei best friend so good luck with that." The girl scoffs and gets mad and storms off.
"Hm good riddance she was annoying me if she said one more thing I was gonna get my lawyer and issue a problem." Everyone then starts whispering stuff. Aether then clings to me more feeling uncomfortable and scared. That someone will hurt them.
"Now Aether no one will harm you beside I'm sure your boyfriend will stop them." With that he turns and walks towards scaramouche Signora and Dottore. And they walk off.
"Aether Xiao you two alright. Man that girl was gonna get a punch to the face if she didn't shut up but good thing Childe stepped in when he did it would have been ugly." Chongyun says holding Xingqiu's hand.
"Yea but the atmosphere suddenly changed its gotten more heavy after you said you where dating. This might cause a problem Aether you need to figure something out and tell your fans and the world your now in a relationship if not people will rage and try to break you and Xiao up." Aether panics.
"No I don't want to lose Xiao I'll kill myself if I where to break up with him!" I look to him and pull him in for a hug.
"Don't ever say those words Aether. I lost you once I won't lose you again. Your my world and sky." He blushes and hides his face in my chest. Xingqiu Chongyun and Bennett let out a small chuckle.
With that we went to class.
The morning went on with no problem until I heard yelling in the classroom next to us. I wonder what happened. before I could focus my work lady Signora opens the door and looks at me.
"Signora what are you doing h-" before Childe could finish Signora calls out.
"Xiao it's an emergency Aether has been severely injured." Chongyun Xingqiu and bennett sat there in shock. Even Childe and Zhongli.
"W-what do you mean?! What happened?!" I start to panic and get up. I hear police and ambulance pull up. I dash out of the room to the next one Xingqiu Chongyun and Bennett came fallowing as well there I see blood lots of it. And the girl from earlier who argued with us. In her hand a small knife and Aether on the ground. My eyes widen...
"Aether!!" I ran over and hold him I check for a pulse. He's white as a sheet. I then turn to the girl and grab her by the shirt and punched her hard in the face. He falls backwards and I pushed her against the wall and start punching her over an over.
Xingqiu Chongyun and Bennett run over and grabs me and holds me back as the girl slides down the wall unconscious.
"Xiao that's enough...." The medics run in and lay out a stretcher and laid him on it. The medics then looks to the girl and puts her on another stretcher.
"Is there a teacher or someone who can help with this boy." I get up.
"I'll go he's my boyfriend please let me go." The medic nods and they escort us to the ambulance. I hop in and they put an oxygen mask on him. I tear up and held his hand.
"Aether...I wasn't there to protect you I'm sorry...I'm just useless a Nobody..." I suddenly feel a hand on my face. I look and Aether weakly touches my face. I smile and kiss his forehead. The medics see this and drive off with the other sitting beside Xiao.
"I'm gonna ask some questions alright." I nod.
"Alright what's the boys name and age." I look to him.
"His name is Aether and he's 15 turning 16 next Month." The medic nods.
"Alright what happened to him are you in his class." I shake my head.
"No I'm in the class next to him I heard screaming and then a girl name Signora came telling me he was badly injured. I went to see and when I saw him...." I stop and break down.
"Take your time." I relax and look at Aether who barely can keep his eyes open.
"I lost all feeling and started beating up the girl who did this to him." The guy nods.
"So your the one who did that to the girl?" I nod.
"You no you can go to jail for that." I nod. Looking only at Aether.
"Even so it's my duty to protect him. Anyone hurts or touches him will be hurt back. It's called karma. Also I'm not scared of you or the police because you guys don't run this world. My master and friends do they will bail me out." I give them a evil glare making it look like my eyes where glowing in the dark. When we enter a tunnel.
They back up in fear. "W-what are you a demon?!" I look to them.
"Demon? No I'm Nobody but I used to be known as the conqueror of Demons many years ago chose what you like." I look back to Aether who is smiling I smile back and lean over to kisses his cheek. And softly Pat his head.
The ride to the hospital was quiet. And then we arrive and hours went by the doctor then comes out and tells me he'll be fine just very weak.
I stayed by his side day and night then finally he wakes up.
"Xiao..." I look at him bags under my eyes from not sleeping for 3 days.
"Aether your awake I'm so glad." Aether then realizes that I sounded weak and began to worry.
"Xiao you don't look well. You don't tell me you've been up and haven't are anything. While I was asleep." I stay quiet. He gets upset.
"It's because your where worried about me. But I'm fine please eat and then get some rest." I nod I get some food I eat and then I climb into bed with him and cuddle. The doctor's came in and saw.
"Sir you can't lay there." Aether then looks to them and gets mad.
"To bad I wanted hugs and he gave me hugs if you don't like it take it up with my lawyer.' the doctor nods and stays silent. "Now Aether you have recovered alot and are able to go home today."
We both smile and I hold him close giving him a light kiss. And he giggles.
"Yeay home we get to sleep in our bed Xiao." I look at him "our?" He nods and smiles.
"I'm gonna be moving in with you silly." I blush I mean after we started dating he has been sleeping at my house.
"Shouldn't you tell your sister I'm sure lumine would miss you." He shakes his head.
"She already knows and is alright with it besides we barely talk much especially when she's is with her boyfriend Dainsleif." I laughs and smile.
"Alright then your my roommate now as well as boyfriend." We both giggle. The doctor gives Aether the form and signs it and we leave and head home.
"Aether...I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you. But I swear and promise next time I will I vow on it. So that's why when you where unconscious I went out and bought you this." With that he pulls out a small white box.
"It's not a engagement ring it's a promise ring. It's a promise that I'll be with you protect you and love you till the end. And when we graduate I promise I will marry you." He smiles tears up. I take the ring and slide it on his finger. He looks at me I hold him close and lean down to kiss him.
"Xiao...I've decided that I'm gonna quit being an idol if people like that girl can't accept us then whats the point anymore so to keep us safe it's the best to do." I nod in agreement.
"I go on live tv next week I'll do it there and announce my final then." We both smile and nod. With that we ate dinner and cuddles close to each other.

We had the plan set in motion of breaking the news of his early retirement. But unknown to us things where gonna get alot worse.
