013. Against The Rules

S A N A ' S
I went to the comfort room, fixing myself in front of the mirror. Two girls entered the comfort room, they were giggling, as if something good just happened. I didn't care about them, I still need to finish my retouch before the next subject starts.
They were whispering to each other, squealing like girls who have finally invited their crushes on a date. And it was really that deal, huh.
"I finally invited Jun to our party this Friday. Oh gosh!"
"Isn't that against the rule?" The other girl asked. I tried to focus on my routine, but if this is about him it's hunting me.
"I asked him when the time we make out."
One of my lip tint drop when I heard what she just said. That caught their attention so I hurriedly pick it up and excuse myself. After getting out from the comfort room, I leaned against the corridor's wall. Now that I know it was true, I can't avoid the sting inside my chest. I'm not strong just like my friends, I'm not brave as they are.
They always let their minds and pride rule them. But for me, my emotions are too fragile. I easily feel comfortable, I easily perceive happiness and I use to believing that after every storm there will always be a rainbow. I gotta be kidding myself.
I firmly close my eyes, regaining my proper senses back. He really is just playing with my feelings. Look what he have done to me, he's frustrating me without any specific reason. He will act like he cares for me, acting like he is concern, but in the end, he'll kiss another girl. Yeah, I know I don't have the rights to dictate everything he does in his life, but he's giving me false hopes.
He kept his gestures the same even against this rule, now tell me? Who wouldn't hold on to that?
"Sana," I instantly open my eyes when Mina suddenly tap my cheeks. I flash a wide smile for her. Her brows knotted but shrug it off afterwards. "The next class is about to start. Let's go."
I just nodded then bubbly went after her. Am I too good at hiding my emotions? Well, it's for the sake of them. I never wanted them to worry about me, for the rest of our lives, I wanted to make them smile.
Mina has been the smartest one among us, she's beautiful, brave and independent. I envy her ever since. She's the perfect standard of a woman. She's also elegant in her own ways, well-mannered. In conclusion, she has everything that every girl were asking for.
As I was staring at her back, I noticed a stain on her skirt. My eyes widened as I hug her by the back. She stiffened, I guess she was just surprised.
"Are you on your period?" I whispered tbrough her ears with her scent emanating through my nose. She's so fragrant.
The students were looking at us weirdly. Is there something wrong back️hugging my bestfriend? I bet there is nothing inappropriate with that. She looked over her shoulder, worried.
"Is there a stain on it?" She asked.
"There is, but I don't have my coat with me. Can we just stay like this until we reach our lockers?" I asked, innocently. I am worried about her also, and that helped me forget my thoughts of Jun for the mean time.
"Aniyo!" She said. She looked horrified by my idea, though. It's not horrifying, it's just ridiculous.
Mina panicked, I also did so I never let her go to protect her from some students who might have fun with her situation. I know it's awkward, but I cannot let others make fun of my bestfriend. Over my beautiful body!
I saw Wonwoo walking over our direction. He held his coat over his shoulders down to his back, a sign that he probably didn't need it. I was about to scream his name when I remember the rules. Aish, that rules are stressful. My friend will be in priority before that rule. Jeongyeon can fight for me nonetheless.
His eyes diverted to the both of us. He stopped a meter away, raising a brow with a weirded expression. He probably thinks we are being ridiculous. I saw Mina glaring at the guy while he was just stoic, the usual.
"Yah! Wonwoo-ssi." He diverted his gaze at me. I didn't wait for his reply instead I pull away from Mina and went over to Wonwoo to grab his maroon coat. I don't care if someone was watching us. He looked surprised, but I never paid attention to his reaction since I immediately place the coat on Mina's back, tying the sleeves on her waist line.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Sana, what are you doing?!"
The both of them complained in unison. I smiled, happily. At last, her problem got solve. Wonwoo look really shock while Mina was trying to remove the coat away from her. I hope she realize why I did that.
I cross my arms while standing in between the two of them. "Wonwoo-ssi, Mina is on her period and I guess, you didn't need the coat, so could you please let her borrow that coat?"
"Shut up, Sa—"
"No, you should be the one to shut up. I'm still older than you, Mina. Better listen to me." I said. She's ruling that pride of her again, even though she really need his help.
Wonwoo didn't complain after hearing my explanation. He just shook his head before walking pass over us. He walks coolly, but wait, we still have classes right now. Is he gonna skip classes again?
"I'll bring it back to you tomorrow." Mina added when Wonwoo was about meters away. This girl really. She's the only one looking affected.
"It's all up to you." That was his reply before vanishing completely through our sight.
I glance at Mina, she was holding the coat, staring at it intently. I know they're not friends, well there's no friendship between girls and boys in this school.
Afterwards, I pull her with me, so that she can change. I can't just let her stand there, staring at a piece of clothing.
"I must wash this coat after school." She murmured while folding Wonwoo's coat in her hands. I chuckled slightly.
"I guess it's fine if you keep it. He doesn't look like he cares, though." I said but Mina just shook her head. On our way back to our classroom, we encountered Jeonghan and Jeongyeon bickering on the hallways again. Their voices are so loud and their bickering isn't the normal one. They might knock each other down if the other got pissed.
"You're a loser. You can't even defeat me with football, tsk."
"Oh really?! You know what, just keep in mind the rules of this school."
"Who even want to follow that stupid rule? I will always go against that rule, Yoon Jeonghan."
I shook my head, ignoring the both of them. Their fight might end longer, they both wanted to win an argument. None of them will turn down their pride.
Mina and I head inside the classroom, I saw Jun looking at me. He smiled warmly, resulting my heart to beat abnormally. I tried smiling back but I guess it's too obvious that it was force. I instantly look away.
"Jun, before I forget, tomorrow at 6:00 in the evening, arasseo?"
"Noted."
I just listened to Mina and Jun's conversation. Are they going to meet up or something? Mina didn't say anything about this. So what's with her and Jun?
I avoided Jun's gazes when I saw him glancing at me. There he goes again, is he just simply flirting with me without any feelings. He's making me fall, I must say and I'm afraid that I can't avoid it.
But what's with him and Mina?
I was about to ask her when the professor came. I tried listening but this thoughts kept on bugging me. I massage my temple. I wanted to slap Junhui right now. Honestly, I think he's playing with my feelings.
I diverted my gazes at the professor, discussing something about inter-school quiz bee. I was startled when a piece of crumpled paper hit my face. My eyes immediately glare to where it came from. I saw Jun giving a peace sign, I thought they are starting their bullying again.
He mouthed to pick up the paper and so I did. 'Are you okay?' That's what it said. If he only knew I'm stressing with his gestures towards me and if I should give meaning to it.
I looked at him then slightly nod and smile brightly. I guess giving false hope is better than them bullying us, is it?
"After the project that will be held next week, the school is also preparing for the quiz bee among all big schools. And this said program will be held in our school next month. Your grades were already computed and we already picked two participants. I'll just call them after classes."
Because I wasn't listening earlier, I don't get what was this professor trying to say. Sana, you 바보! Aish.
