Andy spent the entire evening with the Moskowitz family. She missed hanging out here, spending the night. This family always opened their arms to her and made her feel loved.
The sleeping situation wasn't really awkward like Andy expected. Mrs Moskowitz offered their guest bedroom, quietly away from Hawk. But Andy denied and very briefly explained the main reason she came over was because Hawk made her feel safe. The older woman immediately understood and got to work on finding the air mattress for her.
"Sometimes I think my mom likes you better than me." Hawk joked as the two set up her bed. Andy giggled and nodded, silently agreeing.
That's when Andy suddenly remembered her nightmares. In the LaRusso household she never had them, because she slept next to Sam and in a household that felt safe. But she had them at home, when she was alone. Would she have them now?
"I uh..." she suddenly spoke up, making Hawk look at her. "I have nightmares. I'm not sure if I'm going to have them now but...I don't usually wake up screaming. I only did once and it was the first night after the big fight. Usually it's just a loud gasp, I can't breathe for a minute, and then I'm okay." Andy looked down in shame. "I just don't want you to worry if you hear me."
"Are you able to go back to sleep after these nightmares?" He asked lowly, sitting down next to her.
"It takes a long time, but yeah."
"How long is a long time?"
"1-2 hours." Andy shrugged. "Depends on how tired I am."
Hawk sighed lightly. He hated that Andy had to go through that.
"If you want to talk about these nightmares, you can. I'm here to listen. But other than that, the other half of my bed will always be open throughout the night. Just crawl in if you want to or need to. And please don't hesitate to wake me up. You've been there for me for more than one nightmare and I want to do the same."Hawk smiled gently at the girl. He couldn't help but want to kiss her in that moment, but refrained. He loved Andy, always had and always will, but he still loved Moon.
"Thank you, E." Hawk didn't even mention the nickname, kind of missing it.
The two watched Iron Man as they dozed off, having seen it so many times they could quote it in their sleep. Andy felt at peace in that moment.
Surprisingly, the Lawrence girl had no nightmares. She slept peacefully throughout the night before Mrs Moskowitz came in to announce it was time to get up. Andy almost groaned, remembering it was Monday.
So after both teens got ready, they headed out. Andy admired Hawk's new motorcycle in awe, a little worried for his safety.
"Be careful." The girl begged a little. Hawk laughed at her and nodded. The two rode off, Andy in her car and Hawk on his bike. They basically raced the whole way just for the fun of it.
Unfortunately the two had to split ways when they got to school. Hawk went over to Mitch and the Cobra Kai's, and Andy went over to Sam, Yasmine, and Moon. Yasmine was getting better. Especially since she had little to no popularity anymore. But she still was a bitch. Andy only tolerated her for the sake of Moon and Demetri's little crush on her.
Lunch rolled around smoothly. Andy spent most of her classes dozing off rather than paying attention. Her seven hours of sleep only made her crave for more.
Lunch eventually rolled around and Andy hoped candy from the vending machine would help her wake up. As she headed back towards her table, she watched Demetri walk in with a giant board with a sheet over it. Giggling, she followed behind him.
"Hey! You ready to rock our earth science presentation?" Demetri asked Yasmine, who he had been paired with. He gently set the project on the table as Demetri sat down in her chair, leaving Andy to stand next to him.
"I'm ready to go back to a world where we don't have to talk to each other on a regular basis." Yasmine said sarcastically. Andy rolled her eyes as she opened her candy.
"Come here hun." Moon pushed herself back and offered up her lap for Andy to sit. The girl happily did as Moon wrapped her arms around the girl to secure her.
"Hey hey! my popularity's on the rise, while yours is steadily declining." Andy snorted as he brought it up. "But, maybe we can meet in the middle. Like a sexual Venn diagram." Andy and Moon laughed quietly to each other. Demetri still sucked at talking to girls.
"So what's under the sheet, D?" Andy asked after she calmed her laughing. Moon nodded in agreement, also wondering.
"I'm glad you asked." Demetri stood up excitedly and ripped off the sheet. "Behold...what scientists believe to be the Valley when dinosaurs roamed the Earth!"
Andy's mouth dropped open, looking at the lego set perfectly built. Demetri had put his heart and soul into this.
"Go ahead, press the hadrosaur egg." He looked towards Yasmine excitedly. Even the blonde looked a little impressed. She only hesitated a little before doing so.
A few screeches of a dinosaur followed along with smoke bubbling out of the volcano on top. Both Andy and Moon looked up at Demetri in awe. This was not something easy to do.
"Not bad." Yasmine looked quite impressed with it. Demetri definitely got a confidence boost from it. "My parents may not have to pay for my A this time." Andy gave the girl a disgusted look as she shifted on Moon's lap.
"Your parents will never have to pay for an A again." Demetri smirked. Andy and Moon excitedly listened in with big smiles as Demetri explained the project. Neither understood half of what he was saying but he looked excited so Andy was happy.
That was when Hawk decided to look over. His eyes trailed along his two ex girlfriends excited looks and how they were on top of each other. Jealousy pooled in his stomach that soon turned into anger.
Andy let out a loud yelp as something came out of nowhere and hit the project. Moon quickly covered her before anything could hit the black haired girl. Andy's mouth dropped open as she watched Demetri's 8,500 piece project get ruined.
"Oh...Sorry man." Hawk strolled over, someone throwing his ball back. "Looks like my ball just got away from me." He spoke with fake sympathy.
"Are you kidding me?!" Andy roared in anger. Moon quickly started stroking her hair to calm her while whispering something about energies.
"That took me three weeks to build." Demetri muttered, staring his former friend in the eyes.
"Eh, took my ball three seconds to destroy." Hawk tossed the ball from one hand to another. Andy's nails dig into her palm in anger.
"Do you have another one?" Yasmine asked in hope. Andy glared at her like she was stupid. Suddenly Demetri was strolling towards Hawk, and Andy quickly got up to back him up.
"Another week, another pissing contest." He spoke up, making Cobra Kai look at him. "Although I shouldn't be surprised since you love pissing so much."
"You landed one kick." Hawk took a step forward. "You got lucky."
"Back away, Hawk." He looked at her with a certain look. He knew he messed up, but how could he back down now.
"Yeah, like you'll start anything, princess." Andy glared at the nickname.
"Back off." Sam appeared out of nowhere. "Or you won't be lucky."
"Why don't my you go sleep around with someone new and break his heart?" Hawk spoke sarcastically. Andy felt her anger rise at the mention of her boyfriend.
"Don't you dare talk about Miguel." She shoved him a little, making him stumble back into his friends.
"What's going on here, Miss Lawrence?" Councilor Blatt came out of nowhere. "You know our new guidelines against physical contact. Did she enter your personal bubble without your verbal consent?" Blatt asked Hawk.
Andy watched his face morph into a fake vulnerable one. She knew of his plan.
"But Counselor Blatt-" Andy spoke before he could, bringing out her puppy eyes. "He entered my personal bubble and made rude comments at me. I got scared he was going to hurt me like he did my friends." Andy forced her eyes to start tearing up.
"Oh it's okay sweetheart." Blatt gently rubbed her shoulder. "Next time, just try to walk away if you feel unsafe and come find me." Andy nodded and fake sniffled, wiping her nose. "I just want you all to respect each other. Now get these legos off the ground, someone could get hurt."
Blatt started to walk off, and a smirk covered Andy's features as she turned back to Hawk. He glared at her for ruining his plan.
"For you pansies, no space is safe." He threatened before laughing and walking off.
Andy knew it would be a long while before she stayed the night with Hawk again.
