015. The Ride

"Students, please stood in a line if you want to get there earlier." The teacher was almost losing her voice, yelling at the students who can't understand a single instruction. Once the students settled down and zipped their mouths, we formed into a line. The first line for boys and the second line for girls. There are approximately five buses for all of us.
Nayeon was at my back, while Sana and Mina was in front of us. Luckily I haven't seen the jerks out here, they'll just ruin my day, especially that Yoon Jeonghan. He's just getting into my nerves every time I would lay a glance at him.
His whole presence will always make me wanna explode and leaped up in anger. He's plainly annoying and irritating. The nerves he got for always messing with me is just—ugh!
Everyone got inside the bus, I sat near the window expecting Nayeon to sit beside me. I know she'll let me have this side even though this is also her favorite. I close my eyes, as the warm breeze greeted my senses. It's still early in the morning and it's said that the trip takes one and a half hour. I could just continue my nap.
"You look dumb, you know."
I was caught off guard when I heard that voice. I turned my head on the side, confusion took over me when I saw him sitting beside me. My question was then answered when I saw Nayeon sitting on the other side. She's with a guy that I don't know.
Somewhat aiming an arrow with fire, that's how I'm looking at him. How come did this devil appeared out of nowhere? He was looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
"Is there something on my face, huh?" He asked as I immediately look away.
"Yeah, there is." I nonchalantly said, while tying my hair. Moving a little bit away from him, while I stared at the scenery before us.
"Is there a dirt on my face?" By the sound of his voice, he looked really troubled, probably concerned about his face. He's just so annoying. Why on Earth do I have to sit with this guy?
"There's no dirt. There's ugliness." I answered without even giving a little care about his reaction. Based on his attitude, I guess he was really affected by those words.
"You're uglier." He retorted back with a scoff. Tsk, he's such a loser.
"Say what you wanna say. I don't care." I stared blankly at nowhere, slowly closing my eyes. Before I could drift off to dreamland, I could still hear him arguing back but it was way too inaudible for me to hear.
I dozed off, leaning my head on the glass window, while crossing my arms. It's better to sleep rather than listening and arguing with him. I guess it's already his duty to piss me off, like every day.
"Yoo Jeongyeon! Could you please open your eyes?"
Someone was tapping my cheeks upon hearing those words. I slowly open my eyes, squinting before sitting up properly. I saw him looking at me.
"I'm already awake. Chill." I replied with a sleepy tone. I slowly stood up, realizing all of the students were already gone. Maybe I'm still having my time in dreamland.
"Yah! Are you going back to sleep?!" He muttered when I attempted to close my eyes again. My brows met, looking at his hands trying to pull mine. He instantly let go when I raise a brow at him.
There was a long silence, before Nayeon came in while looking at the both of us. She looked confuse as if something is going on between the us two. She should quit jumping into conclusion.
I shook my head before deciding to stand up. Jeonghan also moved away, giving me space. I carried my bag with me, before I could lay a glance at him who's hissing while massaging his shoulder.
I chose to ignore him, pulling Nayeon with me. She must be thinking of something weird again.
"Did you know that you slept on his shoulder?" She suddenly muttered out of nowhere. My forehead knotted upon looking at her.
"Stop kidding around." I roll my eyes, then run away towards our cabin. I just knew it was our cabin because Mina and Sana were both standing there. Luckily it was near the sea. It's so beautiful, I never thought camping would just go like having couple of tents and campfires. Probably, this school has advantages outdoor, I meant outside the school.
But about earlier, did I really slept on his shoulder?
Then how could I not know? Well yeah, because I was asleep. Thanks to him I guess, I got a perfect nap.
Is that why his shoulder hurts? My head is not heavy, maybe he's just overreacting.
"You're late, Jeongyeon unnie." Mina scolded me. I just smile widely then got myself inside the cabin. She was following me while I was heading inside. It has simple interiors, four cozy beds and bamboo furnitures. It felt like I was in a summer vacation.
"How many minutes was I late?"
"It's not minutes, Jeonyeon-ah." Sana butted in the conversation with a chuckle. My eyes widened in surprise.
"You're actually an hour late. You missed the orientation." Mina continued which got me more surprise. So, for that whole hour, I was with him— alone?!
Then why didn't they even woke me up? Why didn't they tag me along with them?
I'm frustated, right now. Not because I missed the orientation, but because I spent my whole time sleeping on that guy's shoulder and I felt like being grateful towards him.
"Jeonghan stopped us. Maybe he doesn't want to disturb your nap so he let you borrow his shoulder." Nayeon enters the conversation. I sat on my bed, while gazing at the three of them.
"I have two shoulders, borrowing a shoulder is impossible."
"Jeongyeon." They said in unison with a 'you-are-better-than-that' look. I just scratch my nape before brushing this thoughts away. It's better off this way. I mean I am grateful with him, but we're enemies and enemies shouldn't be grateful with each other.
Who said that? Of course it's me. I just said it though.
They told me that they'll let us rest until lunch. Then group activities will start after that. For today, we'll have a trail, by group. Then by sunset, they'll set a campfire. Such an energy-draining day, but I hope this would turn out good.
"The rules isn't applicable here, right?" Sana asked while fixing her outfit. Well, it's compulsory to wear our PE uniform nevertheless. A gray jogging pants, with a maroon striped on each side, paired with a maroon jacket and gray inner shirt. She was also tying her hair while I was stuck laying on my bed.
"Well, it's not." Mina said. She's already done and she's reading some books on her bed. Nayeon was checking something outside.
"Aren't you planning to get up?" Mina muttered with a scary tone. I just smiled sheepishly before forcing my limbs to get up and change my clothes.
After changing my clothes and tying up mg hair. I went out of the cabin, standing beside Nayeon. She was just staring at the sea. We have never been in a place like this for so long. I also missed the salty yet fresh air and also the white, sparkling countless sand.
"I wanna dive there, right now." I said out of nowhere. She nodded in agreement.
"Just wait 'til night." I laughed when I heard that reply. We are gonna break the rules again. We are not allowed to swim, said the faculty, but can we stop the urge and temptation of the sea?
The four of us went to a small food court. I guess this resort really provides everything. But hell, even the food is common. We're like prisoners here. Same uniform, same food and even having the same form of cabins.
"Nothing's wrong with the food. It's still delicious." Sana mumble while munching her food. I have no choice but to eat. Why didn't I even thought of bringing some snacks here? Now, I have to face the consequences.
"Students please hurry! The trail will be starting in ten minutes."
"Is this some sort of punishment?" I complained while muching my food. Having boring classes is better than this situation.
"Just stick with it." Nayeon retorted before finishing her food.
"This is unacceptable."
