"So yeah. Do you understand?" I ask Zeke.
"Uh, no." He shakes his head like a kid.
Again!
I've been explaining the same topic the whole night, at least three times, yet Zeke doesn't seem to catch it.
It's either he's plain dumb or he's not listening at all.
"Zeke!" I wail, "Are you even listening to me at all?"
"Yeah I am."
"It doesn't seem like it! I've been teaching the same thing three times! Three times! And still you don't get it." I stress on.
"You're making me feel dumb." He mumbles.
"Maybe because, you are dumb." I say.
He glares.
The room goes silent afterwards. I check the time and I realize it's already 12. I look back at Zeke who is staring into space.
"Stop staring! It's getting creepy."
I roll my eyes. My eyes then move to my shelf and just then, an idea pops into my mind. I jump off bed and run to shelf and take out a packet of skittles. Zeke told me that last time that, he likes skittles so much he can eat 5 to 10 packets a day.
Hopefully, this will do the trick and he'll grasp what I am teaching him.
"Skittles!" His eyes have literally now turned into the heart emoji. He reaches out to take it from my hand but I hit hand away.
"Not so fast. Answer one question correctly and I'm giving you all this."
He pouts, "But math is hard."
"Not it's not. If you don't want this, you can keep on thinking math is hard." I smirk.
With a frown he mumbles a, "Fine!"
"Good, that's the spirit." I smile.
So for the rest of the night, with the help of the skittles, I teach Zeke and I allow him to eat it when he manages to solve a question right.
He ends up eating everything with Zeke knowing how to solve algebra very well. I knew I was a good teacher; Zeke was just a teeny bit dumb.
"So, are you gonna go?" I ask him after we're done. At this point, it's already 2am.
"Yeah of course, just don't miss me too much." He gets up.
"But it's late. Do you want to spend the night here?"
"Oh, who knew Alexis Martinez wanted to get into my pants?" He smirks.
"You wish." I say, "Are you staying or not?"
"Okay, okay, I will. Since you practically forcing me."
I laugh as I shake my head slowly.
"Should I get you something to wear?" I ask.
"Sweetie, nothing of yours can fit me. Do you see these arms?" He flexes his biceps in front of me.
"You know what? Goodnight." I say when I know I'm getting nowhere with him. I throw myself on my bed.
But instead I fall on something. . . .
Hard.
I just fell on Zeke.
And before I know it, we both are rolling on the floor. I end up on Zeke, with his hand firmly on my waist.
My eyes bore into his. We start inching closer to each other with each passing second.
"Kids! What on earth is going on here?"
My parents voice send us to reality when they walk in on us.
Zeke immediately let's go of me and I jump off him. I start trying to fix my hair, my eyes not meeting my parents.
"Mum, dad, this is not what it looks like."

"Wait, you're grounded?" Nellie laughs.
Last night, my parents offered Zeke the guest room and they grounded me. They didn't understand why I was in such a compromising position with him and without a contraceptive.
Shocking, right? I tried to explain but they weren't listening. So now, I'm grounded for a week. No phone, nothing whatsoever.
"Ha, ha, so funny." I roll my eyes as I take out my books for my History class.
"What was Zeke doing at your house in the middle of the night?" Ellie asks behind me.
I sighed, "It's a long story."
"You both seem to be getting pretty close lately." She says.
"Yeah pretty much." I smile.
Soon, the bell rings signalling our first class of the day. I take my books from my locker and go to my History class.
I enter the class and take my seat near Belle. She smiles at me and speaks up, "Hello."
"Hi." I smile back, "So how did your date go? I forgot to ask."
"It went fine. The restaurant's customer service was just bad. I mean the wine had worms in it for God's sake!"
"Yikes." I scrunch up my face, hoping she doesn't see through my lie.
Mr. Adams comes in shortly afterwards. He starts the class after reminding us he'll be taking our project next week Monday.
I then go to my next classes until it's lunch. I'm putting my books into my locker when Nellie walks up to me but Ellie is nowhere in sight.
Before she can even say anything,
"I'm unstoppable -" Ian walks to us singing in a really terrible voice.
"Spare us, Sia." Nellie rolls her eyes.
"Aww, don't be jealous."
"Oh please, I have a much better voice."
"You -"
"Guys, guys, let's not get started, okay? Let's go have lunch." Beck comes in before the two can pull each other's throat out.
Nellie rolls her eyes and we walk to the cafeteria together. The boys soon join and Ellie is last to join us.
"Wanna hear a joke?" Ian says to Nellie.
"No thanks, I'm not interested." Nellie says eating her food.
Ian tells it anyways, "One day, a guy went to the zoo. He went to the gorilla and said, 'Can you loan me a dollar?' -"
I never get to hear the end of the joke since immediately, the boys holler up and start laughing loudly.
Okay, so it's either this joke is not funny or I'm not catching the funny part.
Lunch comes to end soon with the boys conversing among themselves and Ian unsuccessfully trying to hit in Nellie.
"Hey thanks so much for last night, I have a feeling I'm going to ace this test." Zeke says to me when I'm at my locker a moment later.
"I'm glad." I say sincerely, even though I'm not glad about the part where I got grounded.
"Sorry for getting you grounded, though." His voice nowhere near apologetic, "So you're still coming to the party?"
"Of course, I am -" That's when I remember I'm grounded, "Oh no I can't. I'm grounded, remember?"
Zeke thinks for second and says, "I'll figure it out."

The next day, the twins come over and we have a movie night. After watching a couple of movies, Ellie faces me and says.
"So now, what are we going to do about the party? You have to go. This could be a huge progress in our plan."
"Yeah you're right."
Ellie says, "I was wondering if I could speak to your mum."
"She won't understand. Neither will my dad. I guess I'll have to wait for the next party." I shrug, trying to come of as nonchalant.
They both sigh, "Hopefully by that time, we'll have something figured out."

It is Friday and yet, the twins and I have figured nothing out. They look all glammed up for the party and are at my house, trying to persuade my parents to let me go.
"The answer is a no, dearies." Mum sighs and casts a look at me, "I don't know what she's becoming. Getting freaky with a boy and that too without a contraceptive?"
"Mum!"
She rolls her eyes, "I much as I love kids, I don't think I'm ready for one yet. I feel too young to be a grandmother. This should teach her a lesson; when she wants to get freaky with a boy, she must be protected."
On that note, the twins leave and I prepare to go to bed. I have my usual shower and change into a comfortable pair of PJ's.
I start watching a movie but midway through the movie I start snoring lightly as I fall asleep.
Suddenly, I hear a noise from my window making me jerk my eyes open. I look around and I see the silhouette of a guy standing at my window.
Before I can scream, whoever it is, runs and covers my mouth with their hand. My eyes bulge out off their sockets and out of instinct, I bite their hand.
"Ow, *bleeping* hell!" The voice immediately makes me recognize them.
It's Zeke.
