Y/n's POV:
"Y/n" a voice whispered. "Y/n wake up. We're about to leave"
I groaned whilst I pulled the blanket over my head. I didn't want to wake up, I enjoyed the warmth and comfort of my bed. That's when I suddenly felt really cold, someone pulled the blanket off my body. My eyes opened to see my boyfriend, Fred Weasley, standing over me with my blanket in hand.
"I hate you" I muttered with a groan.
"I love you too. We're leaving soon. We need to catch the train" Fred said smiling, he walked over to me and pulled me from my bed. I yawned and stretched with my arms up in the air. Fred pulled me in for a soft morning kiss, like he did every morning.
It was 9:00, I leaped out of Fred's arms and opened my trunk. I pulled out some leggings and one of Fred's jumpers.
"I wondered where that jumper was" Fred said to me. "Keep it. It looks amazing on you"
I pulled on the jumper and brushed my hair. I decided to leave it down because I was short on time and Fred likes it down. I pulled on some trainers before linking arms with Fred and going downstairs to the kitchen.
"Good morning y/n dear." Molly said warmly as she placed some toast in front of me.
"Good morning Molly" I replied before taking a bite of my toast.
Everyone ate breakfast speedily before rushing upstairs to collect our trunks. That morning was a bit of a blur. I can recall Fred and George's trunks flying down the stairs and hitting Ginny, causing Molly to scold the two boys before we climbed into two taxis to kings cross station. We stood by the gateway and slipped through when the muggles were not watching. We climbed onto the train and was greeted by Lee who had already got us our compartment.
The train journey back to Hogwarts was full of chattering about our Christmas holidays. I don't know when but I fell asleep on Fred's shoulder but woke up in his lap, smiling down at me and running his hand through my hair. Merlin he looks really cute. How did I get so lucky? I don't know why he chose me but I'm glad he did.
"Finally we're here!" Fred said. I sat up and grabbed my trunk. The four of us piled off the train and into a carriage, the dumpy road ran underneath us. Travelling towards the castle I called home.
Once we finally got to the castle and began to walk up to the castle when Hermione came running to me, closely followed by Harry and Ron.
"Y/n. Y/n" Hermione said, tapping my shoulders "Hagrid's back."
"I'm sorry." I said to the boys. "I'll see you in the common room" I said before I ran off to Hagrid's hut with the three fifth years. We ran down the hillside towards a small hut at the edge of the forbidden forest, about to knock on the door when we heard a familiar screech.
"I will say this one last time." Umbridge demanded "I'm ordering you to tell me where you've been."
"I told you. I've been away for me health." Hagrid stuttered.
"Your health?"
"Yeah. Bit of fresh air, you know."
"Oh, yes. As gamekeeper, fresh air must be difficult to come by." She said sarcastically. "If I were you,
I shouldn't get too used to being back. In fact, I mightn't bother unpacking at all."
"Godric I hate that woman" I whispered.
"Me to" the three said in unison.
At that moment toad took a step outside Hagrid's door. Once she closed the door behind her, she took her perfume and sprayed herself with it. She then sprayed a 'X' across the door before she made a high pitched sound and walked away.
"Come on" Harry said once Umbridge was out of sight.
Harry knocked on the door, the lingering smell of Umbridge's perfume polluted my nose causing me to gag silently. Hagrid opened the door, his face was bloody and bruised over his eye. He was holding a large piece of raw meat in his hand. We went in and sat at his table.
"What happened Hagrid?" I asked. Causing Hagrid to release a large sigh.
"This is top-secret, right?" He said, the four of us nodded and listened intently to Hagrid.
"Dumbledore sent me to parley with the giants."
"Giants?" Harry gasped.
"Shh." Hagrid replied whilst putting the meat on his face.
"You found them?" I whispered.
"Well, they're not that hard to find, to be perfectly honest. They're so big, see?" Hagrid said "I tried to convince them to join the cause. But I wasn't the only one that was trying to win them over."
"Death Eaters?" Hermione and Ron asked in unison.
"Yes." Hagrid whispered. "Trying to persuade them
to join You-Know-Who."
"Did they?" Harry asked.
"I gave them Dumbledore's message. Suppose some of them remember he was friendly to them. I suppose."
"And they did this to you?" I asked concerned.
"Not exactly, no."
Hagrid's dog, Fang, let out a large bark because he was eyeing up the meat in Hagrid's hand.
"Oh, go on, you have it, then, you dozy dog."
Fang barked again as he ate the meat that the half-giant threw to the floor.
"It's changing out there." Hagrid said. He shuffled to a window looking out to a incoming storm. "Just like last time." His voice was serious and sort of intimidating.
"There's a storm coming, Harry. We'd all best be ready when she does."
Hagrid said nothing else to us, instead he told us to get back to the common room because it would be curfew soon. We piled out of the door and we walked up to the Gryffindor common room in complete silence. We walked in and went our different ways. I wandered over to the twins and Lee who sat in the common room awaiting my return. Fred pulled me onto the sofa and wrapped his arms around me.
"You were too long lovey" Fred said.
"I wasn't that long. Dumbledore say anything important?" I asked.
"No. Not really. Umbridge turned up late though." George said.
"I guessed so. She was at Hagrid's hut"
"What did she say to him?" Lee asked.
"She told Hagrid to not bother unpacking" I whispered. This caused the three boys to gasp and share angry looks between each other. During these glares, I felt and heard my stomach grumble loudly.
"Oh yeah. We forgot" Fred said whilst he turned his head towards mine. "You missed the feast"
At that moment, Fred picked me up and started to carry me to his dorm.
"I can walk by myself Freddie" I said to him as he made his way up the stairs.
"I know" he replied. "But why should I let the love of my life walk all the way to our dorm?" Fred said this like it was a hour walk. I blushed and rolled my eyes at him with a cheesy smile.
We made it to his dorm, George handed me a plate of food and Lee passed me a goblet of pumpkin juice. I ate whilst I sat and laughed with my best friends. Fred handed me one of his oversized jumpers as pyjamas, I slid it on and the jumper went to my knees and the sleeves were twice the size of my arms. I crawled into Fred's bed, I felt his arms wrap around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I placed my hand at the back of his head and played with his hair. I burrowed my head into his chest and fell asleep with my favourite person.
The next morning, I sat in the great hall for breakfast, I sat next to Fred with George and Lee on the opposite side of me. I placed some eggs on my plate. A few minutes later, the owls flew in. One barn owl stopped in-front it me with a copy of the daily Prophet in its claw. I paid the owl a knut and it flew away.
When my Daily Prophet arrived I smoothed it out, gazed for a moment at the front page and gave a yelp that caused everyone in the vicinity to stare at me.
'What?' said Fred, George and Lee together.
For answer I spread the newspaper on the table in front of them and pointed at ten black-and-white photographs that filled the whole of the front page, nine showing wizards' faces and the tenth, a witch's. Some of the people in the photographs were silently jeering; others were tapping their fingers on the frame of their pictures, looking insolent. Each picture was captioned with a name and the crime for which the person had been sent to Azkaban.
Antonin Dolohov, read the legend beneath a wizard with a long, pale, twisted face who was sneering up at me, convicted of the brutal murders of Gideon and Fabian Prewett, Molly's older brothers. This caused the twins to scowl, clearly missing their uncles.
Algernon Rookwood, said the caption beneath a pockmarked man with greasy hair who was leaning against the edge of his picture, looking bored, convicted of leaking Ministry of Magic secrets to He Who Must Not Be Named.
But my eyes were drawn to the picture of the witch. Her face had leapt out at him the moment I had seen the page. She had long, dark hair that looked unkempt and straggly in the picture, though I had seen it sleek, thick and shining. She glared up at me through heavily lidded eyes, an arrogant, disdainful smile playing around her thin mouth. Like Sirius, she retained vestiges of great good looks, but something--perhaps Azkaban--had taken most of her beauty.
Bellatrix Lestrange, convicted of the torture and permanent incapacitation of Frank and Alice Longbottom.
I nudged Fred and slightly kicked George and Lee from under the table and pointed at the headline over the pictures, which I, concentrating on Bellatrix, had not yet read.
"MASS BREAKOUT FROM AZKABAN! MINISTRY FEARS BLACK IS 'RALLYING POINT FOR OLD DEATH EATERS" read the main title.
'Black?' said George loudly. 'Not--?'
'Shhh!' I whispered desperately. 'Not so loud--just read it!'
The Ministry of Magic announced late last night that there has been a mass breakout from Azkaban.
Speaking to reporters in his private office, Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic, confirmed that ten high-security prisoners escaped in the early hours of yesterday evening and that he has already informed the Muggle Prime Minister of the dangerous nature of these individuals.
'We find ourselves, most unfortunately, in the same position we were two and a half years ago when the murderer Sirius Black escaped,'said Fudge last night.'Nor do we think the two breakouts are unrelated. An escape of this magnitude suggests outside help, and we must remember that Black, as the first person ever to break out of Azkaban, would be ideally placed to help others follow in his footsteps. We think it likely that these individuals, who include Black's cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange, have rallied around Black as their leader. We are, however, doing all we can to round up the criminals, and we beg the magical community to remain alert and cautious. On no account should any of these individuals be approached.'
"I can't believe their blaming Sirius for this" Fred whispered.
"Me too. But I guess it's a easy way out from admitting Voldemort's return" I whispered back
Based off the little information I read about the Black family. All of them (except Sirius) hated my type. Apparently someone in the family had gone after all muggleborns. Sirius would tell me about his deranged cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange. Apparently she wanted to continue in the family's legacy. Am I now in danger? I thought to myself. I got brought out of my thoughts by Fred.
"Love. Are you okay?" He asked me.
"Yeah. Perfectly fine" I lied.
I can't help but think what could happen now Bellatrix has escaped
