Tony POV:
she remembers!
If I was religious I would be singing hallelujah
"Jarvis call a meeting with the avengers and Fury, but uh leave y/n in her room"
"Sir it appears the team has already gathered and are currently in a meeting" Jarvis informs I frown
"Was I informed of this meeting?"
"I regret to inform you that you were not invited to this meeting, but the meeting is in the normal briefing room" He says I nod and start walking down the hallway
"Stark?" I hear Coulson behind me. I turn and glare at him
"Coulson, mind telling me why the team is in a meeting and I was not notified?" he scrunches his face up and looks down the hall to the briefing room
"There is a meeting? I was not aware of one. I just came to check on Y/n" I relax a bit
"Right well we both got left out, any ideas on what is going on?" I ask Coulson shakes his head
"no but I am sure its nothing we need to worry about, they would have contacted us if it was a big threat" he shrugs off I nod
"perhaps but we still should be involved, plus I have something to tell them"
"what happened?"
"ok well you might need to take a seat for this"
.......
"WHAT?" I just finished explaining Y/n's situation to Coulson and to say he was happy was an understatement
"yeah, but she still does not have her full memory yet but at least she does remember parts"
"This is excellent, well obviously the whole guy controlling her part but-"
"PLEASE NO.... DON'T DO THIS" we hear Y/n scream. Making me instantly stand up and sprint down toward the briefing room.
I go to open the door but it is locked
"What's going on?" Coulson yells through the door. No one says anything all we hear is the sound of Y/n crying and mumbling
"Y/n we have to do this" I hear Fury say. Coulson and I share a look
"Fury OPEN THE DOOR RIGHT NOW" I yell pounding on the door.
"Tony?" I hear Y/n asks weakly, I massage my temples with my hands, I hate hearing her in pain.
I was meant to protect her.
If I just stayed with her, or told the team sooner
"Y/n I am right here, your ok I will get you out of there" I reassure her, knowing everyone can hear me
"Jarvis open the door buddy" The door swings open, making me and Coulson rush in
I scan the room and see Bucky and Steve holding Y/n in a chair as the projector starts to play a video.
"What is Going on" Coulson asks sternly. I watch the screen as I see footage of a car crash. And instantly get flashbacks from when I was watching my parents die in their car crash. I look away and see Y/n tears building up in her eyes as she watches.
"We are helping her remember, this is footage of the car crash she was in with her mum" Steve says.
I frown and go to walk near her but Nat grabs my arm
"Tony she has to watch this" she says I shrug it off and crouch next to Y/n and wave my hand in front of her face, when she does not respond I reach for her hand and she instantly squeezes, it I smile sadly and squeeze her hand
"Y/n look at me, don't look at the screen" I try but she continues to watch the screen
"I ccan-'t" she stutters I look at Wanda who avoids my gaze.
"Jarvis where are the nearest earmuffs?" I ask Jarvis goes to respond but Wanda cuts him off
"Y/n has got to hear this, Tony" I stand up and stand in front of Y/n and I nod at Coulson who comes to us and covers Y/n's ear. The teams stir and go to object but I glare
"Tony, Phil we have to help her" F/n says
"F/n if you wanted to help her then you should have listened to her" I spit. She looks hurt but I just look back at Y/n who is still looking at the screen behind me.
"Tony, we understand but-"
"NO STEVE you don't understand, and if you notified me on your plans I would have told you HOW STUPID they were"
"Tony we didn't inform you because on how you would react" Fury starts
"How I would react to what? Eyepatch. You know time and time again Y/n puts her faith in you and yet each time you do something to hurt her" I look at Y/n who looks numb, as she can't take her eyes of the screen.
"Wanda for God sake release Y/n from your witchy woo" I say, F/n scoffs
"No! I am sick of these secrets. Every time Y/n has some sort of thing going on, and when we try to help her, we are in the wrong?!" she says. I stare at her in disbelief, but the sound of ambulance sirens makes all of us snap our attention to the projector which I forgot was still going and Y/n was still watching.
"Jarvis turn it off NOW" I order, the projector is switched off. But we had all seen the footage, the accident...
"Y/n?" Sam L/n asks, stepping toward us. I look back at Y/n, trying to get the images of my own parents car crash out of my mind. Coulson takes his hands of her ears.
"Y/n can you hear me?" he continues. F/n steps forward and crouches before her and shakes her
"Y/n?"
"Coulson cover her ears quickly" he nods and does what I ask
"Jarvis is it Frank?" Jarvis does a quick scan and responds "Yes, It appears Ms L/n is communicating with Frank"
I frown and turn to the group
"Well, you guys happy? hm, if you had listened to her. Listened to me! You would have discovered that she HAS made progress SHE DOES remember. BUT" I point to her eye and ear
"In her eye and ear there is a chip, or some device that allows Hydra to control her, so she had to lie saying she does not remember otherwise they would do something. AND I WAS COMING TO TELL YOU, but you were already in your own meeting" I sum up. The group is silent.
Coming to, Y/n gasps and looks around the room, she then starts trembling and shaking
Y/n POV
'Soldier, you remember" I go to respond but all of a sudden the memory starts playing on loop in my mind
'You want to remember so badly, then remember this memory, when you killed your own mum...'
I start trembling, shaking as the memory plays in my mind, I see my mum reaching out for help, which makes me confused as I thought she died in the crash. I see a man coming out of the car that was also in the crash. The man comes over to my mums side of the car and bends down and reaches into the car, the footage is cut there and switches to an hour later when I must have came too, as the man is no longer there and the ambulance has arrived.
Unable to move, speak or do anything I watch as the medics pull me out of the wreckage and lay be down in the ambulance.
"Y/n?" F/n asks. I want to respond but I can't
Seeing the scene makes me remember exactly what happens next and how I woke up in hospital and Nick had to break the news that she was in fact dead.
'Soldier?'
"no"
"Y/n are you ok?" F/n says, Wanda uses her magic to allow me to move again.
'Soldier do you now remember?, do you know who those people are?' He allows me to see the briefing room and the concerned avengers that crowd me.
"no, they are my friends, my family" I say still being unable to move as Frank is preventing me from moving, only allowing me to talk. But everyone else can hear me
"Y/n what's going on?, do you remember?" Nat asked. Tony gives her a glare
'I know you remember' Frank says I start shaking as he does something
'now I am going to make you remember the look on their faces when you attack them' hearing Frank's words my eyes widen. And I reach my hands up to my head
"Y/n talk to us" Tony says coming to my side, I go to reach out for him, but my hands move only slightly
"no, please, I will be good. I will forget. just don't hurt them" I beg hitting my head. Pietro runs up to me and grabs my fist so I don't hurt myself anymore.
'my child, you must learn to follow my orders and when you don't you get punished'
"no PLEASE" I scream, Wanda jumps in my mind, I can feel her presence. I send her a small smile and nod, letting her know its ok for her to be there.
'my sweet, sweet Y/n, you can cry and scream but you don't have much longer before I am in full control of you. So I would spend this time wisely' I look at Wanda whos eyes are wide.
I look at the group in front of me
"um I don't have much uh time so uh you guys need to do something. I am going to loose full control over myself. So locking me up might be the best bet. Yes I remember you, I don't have all my memories but I know how much you mean to me to some degree" I rush out. Pietro hugs me.
"Piet, its ok" I say softly as he clings to me.
"Y/n is right I read her mind while Hydra was talking to her, we have to lock her up before he gets full control and uses her to do something bad" Wanda says.
'I will see you soon Soldier'
"guys please hurry" I try to stand but instantly stumble, Tony catches me. I hug him
"thank you Tony" I mumble, he chuckles "for what"
"everything, but also for always carrying useful stuff on you" as I say this I press a disk to my neck, making me fall unconscious, into Tony's arms
