As everyone was in the lab Matteo was with Maria, she was getting the glass pulled out from his feet and palms. As she did that Matteo would watch her and tone everything and everyone out. He didn't like how everyone fought, then again he didn't really know anyone or liked anyone besides Nat and Bruce a little bit.
Matteo squinted his eyes a bit as she pulled the last piece of glass out of Matteo's foot. "There all done. Now let's clean your wounds up and get them bandaged." She said in a sweet tone as she then grabbed the rubbing alcohol and started to clean his cuts. Matteo hissed in pain before he teared up "h-hurts!.." he said as he teared up. "Ok ok I'm done see. Quick and easy." She said as she now started to wrap up his cuts with bandages. Matteo sniffled before he felt himself get pulled into her lap. He was a bit confused before he melting in Marias touch. He didn't question a thing about it, he just liked the comfort it reminded him of Wanda.
Right when he started to get comfortable he finally started to daze asleep before he overheard the name Ultron. He was a bit confused before he pushed down the tiredness and looked up at everyone. He was confused about the name but he was pretty sure that Ultron was the robots. He didn't know why Ultron wanted to take him. Was was a bit terrified about that, why did he want him. And how did he know about him and his siblings. He was deep in thought, before he knew it Maria started to rub his back.
Matteo snapped out of his trance and looked up at her. He seen her smiling down at him before she looked back up at the rest of the adults. Matteo did a little yawn before he laid his head against her chest and looked down at the bandages on his hands.
"Ok. Let's get going to bed little guy. You need your sleep." Nat said as she took Matteo out of Maria's grasp. Matteo did a little whine before he then got used to Nat's warmth. He put his head on her shoulder and looked back at Maria and Dr. Cho who where the only ones staying back along with Bruce and Clint. They all watched as Nat walked out of the room with Matteo. Matteo waved goodbye to them all before he didn't see them.
Everyone in the room smiled at Matteo, they didn't know how much this brought out a soft side in Nat. They've been watching how Matteo has been bringing Nat into a more calm and happier state in mind. But they knew that they would all have to deal with Matteo's siblings along with ultron coming up. So they all just decided to go ahead and start to get to work.
As Nat entered her room she set Matteo down on her bed. She pulled out a par of pajamas and a small graphic T-shirt for Matteo for him to sleep in for the night. As she grabbed her clothes she walked into her bathroom and hurried up and got ready for bed. As she came out of the bathroom she seen Matteo who was fighting sleep. She smiled a bit before she walked over to him and tapped him lightly. "Hey Bug. Can you lift your arms up for me?" She asked as she grabbed the small t-shirt. Matteo opened his eyes and nodded a bit before he lifted his arms up.
As he did so Nat slowly pulled off the shirt he wore and went ahead and threw it over on a chair. She looked at the small frail boy and seen how much scars and bruises littered his body. She furrowed her eyebrows before she slowly put on the shirt for Matteo. "Ok all better. Now let's get some sleep bug." She said as she crawled into her bed. Matteo looked at her a bit before he crawled in next to her, he was a bit hesitant. But as soon as he laid down in bed Nat pulled the blanket over them and turned her light off. Matteo yawned before he knew it he was slowly inching closer to Nat. As soon as he was about 6 inches away from her he slowly started to fall asleep. Nat noticed how he would inch close to her, she took it upon herself and decided to turn on her side and face him. She then pulled him close to her, she knew from their talks earlier that he couldn't sleep without his sister. So she decided to take it upon herself to fill in that spot and help him get the sleep he needs. Matteo was shocked but he didn't do nothing he was to tired to do anything so he just snuggled close to Nat and fall asleep.
With the twins
"What is the word. Ah! Yes Children!" Ultron talked. Wanda and Pietro both looked at the robot before they heard something that caught their attention. "Children. Just like your baby brother I presume. He is with the Avengers yes and we will be able to bring him back." Ultron stated as he then went along and talked about how he wanted to show the twins something.
As the twins and Ultron went back to the Hydra base they seen how the machines where working all in unison. "These are?" Wanda said. "Me. I have what the Avengers never will. Harmony." Ultron said as he went ahead and started to help out while talking with the twins.
Pietro wasn't having it though "not everyone wants to kill them." Pietro said. As ultron was talking to him, Pietro had a little smug look on his face before he sit Ultron off. "I don't need to see the big picture. I have a little picture." He stated as Wanda looked at him with a little sad look on her face. "I take it out and look at it everyday." Pietro stated as he looked at the robot. "You lost your parents in the bombings. I seen the records." Ultron stated.
"The records are not the picture." Pietro blurted out. Wanda then stepped in "Pietro.." she said with tears starting to weld up in her eyes. "No please." Ultron said as he looked at both of the twins trying to get a better understanding of it all.
"We where thirteen years old. Matteo was three. Having dinner the five of us.. then the first shell hits two floor below us. It makes a hole..psh..it's big. Our parents go in. The whole building starts to crumble apart I grab her. Roll under the bed. But Matteo.. he was on the other side of the room. I yell at him to get under something.. he rolls under a table.." Pietro said before he took a breath. "Then the second shell hits. But.. it doesn't go off. It just sits there in the rubble.. Three feet from our faces and four feet from Matteo's.. and on the second shell was painted one word." Pietro said before Wanda butt in. "Stark." She said with venom laced in her voice.
"We where trapped for two days.." Pietro said before Wanda took over. "Every effort to save us. Every shift in the bricks. I think.. this will set it off. Every time I looked over at Matteo. He was unconscious or had the most heartbreaking scared look on his face. He too would stay put. But I couldn't do nothing." Wanda said before her breath hitched a bit. "We wait for two days for Tony Stark to kill us." She said in a angry way. "I know what they are." Pietro said as he and Wanda both looked at the robot.
"I only ever wondered why you three ever survived Struckers Experiments. Now I don't." Ultron stated as he looked at the twins. "We will make it right. And get you guys your brother back." He stated. "You and I can hurt them." Ultron stated as he motioned towards Pietro. "But you. Will tear them apart. From the inside." Ultron stated as he looked at Wanda. "Then we will get you guys reunited with Matteo."
With Matteo and the Avengers
Matteo was gathered with the Avengers sitting in the corner of the room looking out the window. He wasn't really paying much attention to them. All he was doing was looking at the big city in awe. The only thing he ever heard was them talking about Strucker and along with some guy that has a game changer.
The young boy looked over at them when he noticed how they where now starting to get ready for battle. Matteo tilted his head before he got up and walked over to Nat, he tugged on her shirt and looked at her. Nat looked down at him before she smiled a bit "hey bug." She said as she stopped what she was doing. "What are you guys d-doing?.." he asked as he noticed how Steve and Thor where grabbing files and going off. "Oh well we have a lead. And we are heading out. You are going to have to stay here with Maria. I don't want you getting hurt." She said as she picked up Matteo.
Matteo huffed "but what if Bubby and sissy are there!..you guys are talking about them e-earlier and how ultron has t-them!" He stated as he looked at Nat. "My answer in no. Your not going. You need to stay here. It's to dangerous for you bug. I don't want you getting hurt." She said as she was now walking off to a different part of the big room they where in. "But! But! I wanna h-help! I can do it! I fought r-ro-robots!" He said as he tried to slow down on his speaking since he was still not used to talking in English all that well. "No. I'm sorry but I want you safe. You stay with Maria and that's final." She stated as she then put Matteo down on the couch that was next to the window.
Matteo huffed as he crossed his arms "(you aren't my mama..)" he said as he looked out the window. "What was that?" Nat asked as she was about to leave and go get ready. Matteo looked back over at her before he looked back out the window "nothing.." he said as he then watched the busy city. Nat sighed a bit before she left to go and get ready.
As she left Matteo took this as his chance to quickly and quietly go sneak up on the quinjet. As Matteo sneakily went towards the quinjet he smiled a bit before he seen Thor and Clint walk off the quinjet to go get more things packed up. Matteo then quickly ran into the quinjet and hid in the corner behind a few boxes and crates in a dark corner. He smiled sneakily before he decided to get comfortable and wait till they leave.
