Matteo was sitting outside at a small table with Nat. He has a little cap on that matches with his yellow sports shirt and dark blue running shorts. Matteo has grown a lot in by that he got his running under control along with his magic. But the little boy has yet to wonder how to control his senses. Also he has his normal short buzzed hair off since he found it way easier to maintain. And surprisingly the little boy is still short for his age but he doesn't mind. He feels as if he can get atriums much more quicker and hide better.
Matteo sat there at the small table minding his own business drinking his lemonade. As he was drinking his lemonade he sat back and listened in on everyone's conversation over Coms. Matteo tuned Wanda and everyone out as he watched the civilians of Lagos. He didn't really care about their talking, even though Nat and Steve said this will be a great time for the young Maximoff to get training in on the field. All Matteo really wanted to do was go back to the compound and watch Movies. He was really Excited to start watching Star Wars with his new little stuffed dinosaur, which he named 'Tyro'.
As Matteo was zoning out thinking of nothing Nat snapped him back into reality by nudging him. That's what made Matteo jump, Matteo looked at Nat who gave him a stern look for him to focus. Matteo sighed and now started to listen in on the conversation going on. "You guys know I can move things with my mind right?" Wanda said as she took a sip from her tea. Matteo looked over at her before he looked back down at his Lemonade. Even though Matteo and her fought months ago Matteo still loves her, even if she keeps avoiding him and all.
"Looking over your shoulder needs to become a second nature." Nat said and she looked at Matteo who looked at Nat, while Nat then looked over at Wanda who looked at the both of them. Matteo did a little smirk before he started to pick at his fingers a bit, he felt Wanda staring at him so he looked up and saw her looking before she quickly turned away. Matteo did a little sad sigh before he grabbed his cup and started to drink his lemonade. "Has anybody ever told you your paranoid?" Sam said over coms. Matteo looked over at Nat with a confused look while Nat just rolled her eyes in a joke fully way. "Not to my face. why did you hear something?" Nat said. The 9 year old just giggled before he looked back down at his hands.
As Matteo was about to pick up his lemonade again he heard Nat "it's a battering ram." Matteo looked at her confused as he seen her give Matteo a comforting smile so that he knows everything will be ok. "Go in now." Steve stated as he sounded like he was on the move. Matteo felt upcoming anxiety "what?" Wanda said over comes as if she was panicking as well. Matteo looked up at Nat as she got up. "Ok Bug now. You go follow your sister and Sam got it? Take out the bad guys and use your combat skills like we practice. No magic hands." She said as she left. Matteo did a little nod before he looked over at Wanda who was just getting up to go run, so all Matteo did was get up leaving his coins he found on the street on the table for a tip and followed behind Wanda.
As he kept behind Wanda he watched a she all of the sudden flew through the air with her magic. "Woah.." Matteo said in shock as he then looked over and seen small explosions. He then did a little smirk before he got himself loose, then he used his speed to run over to where the Lagos lab was.
Right as Matteo made it to the lab he seen Sam on the top of a small overview looking down at the guards. Matteo hid himself behind a pillar and just waited for his cue by the adults since it was his training after all. As the 9 year old was hiding all he heard was yelling then gunshots, Matteo turned around and seen Wanda was now using her magic as a shield. Matteo just watched his sister in awe before he seen her use her magic to pick up a guard. "Sam!" She said as she then used the magic to bring the guy up in the air. Then Matteo seen as Sam swoop down and kick the dude making him go unconscious. Matteo smiled as he then ran out from his hiding and looked up at Sam and Wanda before he looking at the building.
As Matteo looking up at the building he then looked over and seen Steve come up. "Rumlow is on the 3rd floor!" Sam stated. Matteo looked over at them before he seen Steve look at him with a smile then over at Wanda. "Wanda just like we practiced! And Matteo listen to Sam!" Steve said as he then walked over to Wanda. "What about the gas?" Wanda asked as she looked at Matteo before she looked at Steve. Matteo watched them before he ran over to Sam to get some orders from him. "Get it out!" Steve said. Matteo looked back and seen Wanda push Steve up into the building then watched as his sister used her magic to get the gas out of the building. "Woahh.." he said under his breath.
Matteo was hiding behind sam for protection before he heard the gunshots going off. He then looked up at sam, sam was using his guns to shoot at people. As Matteo was watching everyone fight he then felt sam put his hand on his shoulder. "Ok little wing! I want you to use your speed and take out those people you got that??" Sam asked as he gave Matteo a little smile. "Yeah! Watch this!" Matteo said in an excited tone. As Wanda was done taking out the gas she looked over and seen Matteo and sam, she then decided to watch and see what everyone was talking about his 'speed'. Matteo took a deep breath in before he then used his speed to take out the last two bad people that where shooting at them. As he was running to take out the guards all he did was jump up and punch them out cold. Right when Matteo was done he came back and looked up at Sam with a smile as he took a breath.
All Sam and Wanda seen was a flash of gold and white then Matteo come back. Sam smiled and gave Matteo a high five "good job little Wing! You did awesome!" Sam said. Matteo high fived Sam before he winced a bit at his hand "ouch! But yeah!" Matteo said as he shook his hand off from the pain of punching people. Wanda just looked at Matteo shocked, all it reminded her was Pietro. She then did a really small smile at the thought of Matteo now having hers and Pietros powers.
All Matteo and the two adults where small explosions coming from the other side of the building. Matteo then looked up at sam "Ok Little Wing you stay with your sister now! And you both go follow Steve for backup!" Sam stated as he then took off into the air. Matteo swallowed the lump in his throat before e watched sam take off. He then looked over at Wanda who was now leaving him, all Matteo did was just follow behind and kept his distance the whole way to go follow Steve back into the town.
As Matteo was weaving through the city people he seen Steve's shield fly up in the air before it exploded? Matteo's as confused before he seen it drop, he then seen a weird guy fighting Steve. All Matteo did was watch amongst the crowd of people. He was following Wanda but he lost her through the crowd so he was now on his own, the only thing he wanted to do we help these people be safe. As he watched Steve and the guy fight he heard someone walk up behind him. As Matteo looked up he seen Wanda, he then looked back at them fighting.
As he was watching them fight he seen that the guy had weird wires on him. All of the sudden it clicked "bombs.." Matteo said clearly before he remembered that he was on full blast on coms. Wanda looked down at him with a confused look before she put her hand on his shoulder. Matteo jumped at the sudden contacts before he looked at his sister. "What are you thinking? Don't do anything. You need to stay put!" Wanda said sternly before she looked back over at Steve and Rumlow fighting. "Get your hands off me..I need to help these people! Since you guys won't do it besides take down the bad guys!" Matteo blurted out as he then seen Wanda's eyes glow red a bit. "Little Wing! Don't do anything stupid!" Sam said over coms. "Matteo! Don't!" Nat blurted out over coms. Matteo then muted his coms and looked over at the building that was next to them. "Matteo don't!" Wanda said sternly again. "Wanda! He was a bomb! These people w-will die! I'm not gonna watch that h-happen!" Matteo blurted out with his strong accent coming through.
Wanda looked over at Steve and Rumlow fighting before she seen the wires as well. "Steve has it under control! You stay put!" Wanda stated. Matteo's eyes started to glow gold as he backed away from her slowly "Matteo! Stop!" Wanda blurted out before she knew it Matteo blasted off running into the building. Wanda sighed out of frustration as she continued to watch Steve fight. Matteo ignored Sam and Nat trying to call him over Coms, all he focused on was getting the people out of the building as fast as he could.
As Matteo cleared the first 2 floors he took a big huff of breath before heading down to the next floor. "EVERYONE EVACUATE! NOW!" Matteo shouted as he ushered people out of the rooms and over to the stairs. As Matteo cleared the first 3 floors of the building he quickly made his way down to the next floor. "EVACUATE NOW!! HURRY!!!" Matteo blurted out. A woman bumped into Matteo which somehow made Matteo turn his coms on. "GET OUT NOW! HURRY!" Matteo yelled before all of the sudden he ran over to the last room to get people out. Right as he ran to the window he gathered the people in the room and made them leave. As he catches hai breath all of the sudden Matteo seen a flash of red amongst a big flash of Yellow and Orange. "EVERYONE GET DO-" was all Matteo yelled before he was blasted among the other people on the floor and floors below him.
As Matteo was blasted by the bomb he was thrown into glass and walls. The little boy was unconscious for a good 5 minutes before he woke up to ounces of pain rushing up his body. "A-AUGHHH!" Was all he screamed out before he felt a big weight on him. Matteo was laying down with debris of the building ontop of him. "Matteo?! Matteo!! Do you come in?!" Sam and Nat along with Steve yelled over the coms. "H-HELP PLEASE! P-PLEASE! I GET GET UP!..IM S-STUCK! (HELP ME!...P-PLEASE!)" Matteo screamed out in pain. Matteo couldn't really hear anything really all he kept hearing was small whispers of the adults voices but mostly ringing.
Matteo then started to cough from the Smokey air. As Matteo was starting to get his hearing back he heard everyone's worried chatter to get Matteo to talk back besides Wanda's voice. "Matteo! Come in!" Nat said worriedly again. "N-Natty! H-help!..please! I'm stuck! F-fire! Is c-coming!...it's getting dark.." Matteo said with exhaustion in his voice and with a lot of worry. "Matteo! Stay awake for us!" Steve blurted out. "I'm coming stay awake!" Steve said again. Matteo felt the whole room grow dark even though he seen the fire coming close. The last thing Matteo seen was a 3 figures looking down at him. "(B-Bubby..Papa..M-Mama..)" was all Matteo said before he blacked out from the blood loss and heavy weight.
