Alpheus was walking to a nearby animal shelter, all the kittens he had where recently adopted and Maddy had asking him everyday if they could get more. When he walked in he was immediately greeted by one of the workers. Alpheus and the worker made their way into the back where the kittens were. The worker showed him a few kittens, a small ginger tabby an black and ginger kitten and a pitch black one they were very cute. Alpheus was about to leave when he spotted them out of the corner of his eye and he knew he had to take them home.
Finn though he was use to Alpheus' animal obsession, he thought he had seen everything he could throw at him. So when Alpheus came home, left the kittens and then left, Finn just assumed he had seen something for the kittens on his way home. He was not expecting Alpheus to come back with a bunch of stuff for a bird.
"Alpheus, what did you do?!"
"It's Maddy's birthday tomorrow this is her birthday gift."
"Did- DID YOU GET HER A PARROT?!"
"Yes, I'm heading back to the shelter to pick him up as soon as the cage is done."
Finn sighed, he new there was no stopping Alpheus when he put his mind to something. Finn ended up helping Alpheus with the cage, it was a fairly big cage and took up most of the wall. As soon as it was done Alpheus was out the door again. Finn ended up distracting Maddy as Alpheus snuck the parrot back in.
The next day when Maddy woke up she walked down to the kitchen, Finn and Alpheus were already waiting. They made pancakes together witch ended in a flour fight Maddy lost it laughing when Finn grabbed and egg and chucked it at Alpheus, the look on his face was priceless.
Finn ended up giving Maddy his present over breakfast, it was a mermaid onesie, Maddy loved it. After breakfast she she rushed to put it on. She came out of her room to find Alpheus and Finn smiling, she was confused until she noticed.
"IS THAT A PARROT!!?!"
"Happy birthday Maddy."
Maddy named the parrot Prince. She and Prince spent the whole day playing together she taught him how to fetch, she claimed it was just for fun, but Alpheus and Finn knew she was gonna use it for pranks. Finn helped Maddy train Prince until it was time for dinner. Finn and Maddy both wanted pizza so they decided to annoy Alpheus until he agreed, they walked into the kitchen and Alpheus was already on the phone.
"Are you ordering pizza?"
"Of course, it'll be here in twenty minutes."
"YES!!" Maddy yelled excitedly.
Prince who was startled by Maddy's out burst jumped off he shoulder and flew over to Alpheus'. Alpheus grabbed a few sunflower seeds from the cupboard and fed them to him. Prince chirped happily.
"Thanks again Alpheus, I love him."
"I knew you would."
Now Maddy can get her revenge on Ant, with Princes help of course.
