Minho and Jisung have started living together over a week by now. They still aren't used to each other presence sometimes forgetting about rules and other times completely staying inside one's room so that they could avoid each other. They are together only once a day when they eat dinner and the rest of the other time they are either busy with their university stuff or they are just avoiding each other.
Now if you wonder why were they avoiding each other, it is because they got into a fight. To say it's a fight it isn't exactly a fight. What happened was, once they had settled down and bought all the necessities they needed and decorated the living room and the apartment in general Minho's friend had given them a surprise visit.
Jisung was still sleeping so he didn't see the text of Minho informing him that his friends had arrived and as soon as he woke up he went down to get some breakfast and ended up being in a really awkward position. Later that night when Jisung felt hungry as usual he went down to get some snacks but ended up making loud noise tripping on the three legged table while walking which woke Minho up.
To say that Minho had the scariest look in his face was an understatement. Although he didn't say anything other than "keep it down" Jisung still felt upset over it and muttered under his breath "As if he didn't break one of the rules himself" after Minho returned back to his room but surprisingly Minho heard it and shouted from inside the room "I heard you" making the whole situation even more awkward.
So, they started avoiding each other to not create any more trouble. They felt that with how things were between them they could end up fighting and say hurtful words to each other. Even when Minho made some home made food or when they cleaned the house in the weekend they only shared as little words as possible between them.
Both Jisung and Minho were aware that both of them were wrong in some way and felt gulity but they couldn't really say anything to the other. They both felt that they were making the other feel uncomfortable by their presence so they started to just avoid each other.
It was Monday morning and Han Jisung had just woken up and he was having a staredown competition with the ceiling while rethinking his life decisions. He was too cozy and he didn't want to leave his bed but today his first period was of Mr. Patterson one of the strictest teacher so he groaned to himself as he was getting ready. When he finally looked at the time he nearly fell in his butt due to shock, it was currently 7:45 and his class started at 8 am.
He packed his all the necessary things he needed and rushed downstairs to leave the house. Minho was eating his breakfast peacefully when he heard noise like someone was rushing for their life and then he saw Han Jisung with his bed hair moving at a speed he didn't know the other was capable of. Jisung was muttering 'shit shit shit' under his breath as he was forcing the shoes in his legs at the doorway.
Minho coughed to gain his attention and when the latter finally looked at his direction with a frustrated look he said "Do you want a ride. I mean it only takes five minute if you go by car." Jisung looked at Minho as if he saw his savior. His eyes became wide and asked in a cautious voice "When does you class start?" Minho replied "It starts at 9am but i can go early it's not a big deal." "I really don't want to bother you but please just this once" Jisung said with a thankful expression.
Minho then took his bag and car keys then drove them to school. It was nearly 7:55 when they reached the school. As Jisung made his way out of the car he said "Thankyou so much. I will treat you to lunch today if it's okay." Minho chuckled lightly thinking 'cute' looking at his still unmanaged bed hair and then said "Sure and that" he added as he pointed to his hair.
Jisung looked at the side mirror realizing his bed hair and walked away in embarrassment as he muttered "thanks" while managing his hair but Minho could still see the ends of Jisung's ears that were turning red. Jisung reached his class right at time just before his teacher entered the class. Felix and Seungmin looked at him wit relief in their face and whispered "Why are you late?" Jisung whispered back "I woke up late" then they turned to focus on their class as the teacher present in the class didn't like students making noise in his class.
The lunch break soon arrived and Jisung was busy texting someone so his friends Felix, Seungmin and Jeongin who had met up earlier teased him by coughing aggressively. Jisung finally frustrated asked "Spill if you have something you want to say." Jeongin asked wriggling his eyebrows "Who is it that you are texting with all smiles?" "I didn't smile and it's Minho I'm texting. I have to treat him to lunch since this morning he saved my ass from being late." Jisung said as he rolled his eyes jokingly to his friends.
Felix joined on teasing him saying "Oh so sweet of him to help you" as he pushed Jisung with his shoulders lightly. Seungmin added "Exactly i was worried about you two. I mean the other night i thought we were pretty good but then you guys are full on ignoring each other the next day. And you also avoided talking about it. But now seeing you all being giggly while texting him i feel like i can be rest assured now."
"No i wasn't being giggly" Jisung refuted to which all three of his friends shouted simultaneously "You obviously were." "It's just that we had a little dispute and i was trying to avoid him so that it wouldn't be awkward and it seemed like he was also avoiding me. So when he took the initiative to send me a text to ask where should he meet? I just felt relieved." Jisung said looking down at his feet no longer trying to hide things from his friends.
"You got into fight with Minho and you're still in one piece??" Jeongin whisper shouted as he looked around to see if anyone heard him. Jisung answered back while shaking his hands to prove his point "Not really" then he explained the situation in gist.
Seungmin sighed and said "You guys are just not used with living with each other. It wasn't really that much of a big deal. From my point of view both of you are just being cowardly not wanting to face the issue. I expected this from you but i didn't Minho to be like this too but then again we can never judge a book by it's cover. Stop being a coward and just talk about it to each other."
In the other area of the university Hyunjin, Chan and Changbin were staring at the Minho who was still seated in his desk texting someone with a light smile one could only notice if they knew Minho personally or if one stared hard enough. All the other students had already left the class to go eat lunch only they were present in the class currently.
Chan coughed lightly and asked "Who are you texting?" as he leaned closer trying to peak in Minho's phone but Minho turned his phone off and said "None of your business" as he stuck out his tongue to the older one. Changbin looked at Minho with his one of the most serious face and said "No cheating allowed in this household." Hyunjin also added "Exactly, wait until I complain about this to Jisung. You are never busy on your phone but you have been texting someone with a smile in your face."
Minho slapped the back of the head of both Changbin and Hyunjin lightly and said "Where exactly are you letting your thoughts wonder off to? The one I am texting is Jisung alright he just wanted to treat me to lunch for helping him this morning so I was just asking him the location. Are you guys seriously nuts?"
Chan sighed and said "Oh so that was it. How would we know, you two were avoiding each other like some kind of plague till yesterday so we didn't come across the idea that you were texting Jisung. But does this mean you two made up? Why were you even avoiding each other anyways?"
Minho sighed and frustratedly rubbed the back of his head and said "It's because of me. You guys know how i am. I am just too sensitive when sleeping. He must have tripped or something it made a loud noise and it startled me really bad and it wasn't helping that i was having a nightmare. So, I kind of snapped at him and I guess it kind of scared him plus pissed him off."
Hyunjin said "You know i really think that Jisung guy is really nice. I know that you can't help be sensitive around stranger but why don't you try and give him a chance. Maybe that will help you to open up to him." "Yeah, he seems pretty nice. You know how there's a saying that to know a person check out his friends circle. I can guarantee you 100% that all his friends are super nice." Changbin added to which all his friends rolled their eyes and had the same thought 'Just say you wanted to praise Felix'
Chan concluded and stated "Let's go then to get our lunch." Then they went to the canteen Jisung and told Minho. They had three canteen within the premise of the university. The one Jisung picked was in between the classes of all eight people. As they reached their destination they could see Jisung and his friends waiting for them in front of the building. When they approached each other they naturally said their hellos and went inside to get food. Minho was pushed next to Jisung when they were waiting in line to get food by Chan.
When they finally reached the counter Jisung asked Minho "What do you want to eat?" as he was looking at the menus. Minho questioned him back "What do you want to eat?" Jisung had this serious face looking at the menus as if he was tackling one of the hardest questions then said "I want set to eat set 3 and 4 both of them look so delicious but i know it will be too much for me."
Minho thought to himself 'cute' and then said as he handed his lunch card to the guy at the counter and said "We will take set 3 and 4." Jisung looked at Minho surprisedly coming back to his senses and seeing the guy swiping Minho card he said "Wasn't it supposed to be my treat and why are you not ordering for yourself."
Minho took his card back and said "Are you an idiot we can share our lunch so that we can try both of the lunch set. And i wanted to be the first one to treat food so you can just treat me some other time." Then he took both lunch sets handed by the other guy present at the counter and headed to an empty place by the window. Jisung stayed their dumbfounded for a while but followed after Minho when Minho turned around and asked "Aren't you coming?"
They sat at one of the corner of the canteen separated from their friends. Their friends were seating separately at the other table as they didn't join Minho and Jisung giving them space to talk things over. Jisung grew nervous due to this so was fiddling with his fingers only eating a bit. Minho noticing it sighed and said "You know i am not into cannibalism."
Jisung looked at him with a confused face and was about to ask 'what..?' but Minho cut him off by saying "So relax a bit will you. Are you really that scared of me? Or are you just uncomfortable being around me?"
Jisung eyes grew big as he looked at Minho and shook his head frantically saying "No it's not like that. Why would i be uncomfortable because of you? It's just that I'm not used to eating alone with you and I just feel conscious because you may not realize it but many people are looking over at our table and are whispering to each other." Jisung eyes couldn't maintain eye contact with Minho as he was too nervous so he looked at the tip of his shoes.
"I am sorry." Minho said softly and Jisung once again looked surprisedly at Minho but he felt guilty when he saw Minho's face. This was the first time Jisung saw him kind of being like this. His face expression weren't that different from usual but his eyes told a whole different story. "No No you don't have to be. Let's not worry about it. Let's just enjoy our meal, alright?" Jisung said as he looked at Minho's eyes without letting it break contact.
Minho gave him one of his rare but a genuine smile to him and started eating his lunch. The rest of the lunch went smoothly Jisung and Minho even managing to eat from each other's plate. While at the other table where their friends were, it was a whole mess.
