Himiko was laying down on the ground of the room, humming the beat to the song "Poker Face".
She heard the door slam open and hit the wall. She got up to her knees and looked up at Kokichi who had just unlocked and opened the door. He must have unlocked the door really quietly because she couldn't hear him do so.
She jumped back as she spotted two concerning things about the boy in front of her. He had blood all over his face and hands and he wore a very unnatural, hateful smile. He had a few stab wounds on his arms and cheek which were still bleeding.
"Kokichi..? A-Are you okay?" stuttered Himiko, still on the ground.
"Mm, I'm great, sweetheart." he walked up to her and then sat down in front of her. He picked up one of the boxes of microwave food. "Huh, I just realized that I forgot to put the microwave in here for you."
"Did...you find out where the rest of D.I.C.E are?"
He stared at her eye-to-eye for a long few minutes, speechless. Then, he suddenly hugged her tightly, crying as hard as he could.
"K-KOKICHI?! What happened???"
"S-Shut up......N-Never m-mention them again, o-okay?"
Kokichi didn't feel as warm as he usually did he hugs her. He was shaking and cold. Himiko wish that she could somehow help him feel better. What had happened when he tried finding them?
"W-Wait..are they..."
"SHUT UP"
"...I'm..really sorry Kokichi...still don't tell me to shut up though-"
"Ugh," yelled Kokichi as he unwrapped his arms around her, then kneeled to get up. "What am I even doing? You decided to help out those detectives against me"
"Um, that was before we became friends"
He laughed, "Friends? We're friends now, Himiko? Nah, you're just my prisoner right now."
"What happened to you? You were so much nicer before..."
"Life happened, sweetie"
Judging from his attitude, something really bad must have happened to the rest of the D.I.C.E members to change Kokichi's personality completely. Although he pretended to act like a bad person in the past, he always had a kind heart. Now he had a dead expression on his face and acted like he never had a heart in the first place.
Himiko's assumption was that the other D.I.C.E members were either dead or really badly injured in the hospital. Another theory was that they left Kokichi but that would be very unlikely since they were really close.
There was also the blood that was now on Kokichi, he clearly wouldn't be willing to tell her where it came from. Hopefully, it was just his own blood from a fight. The Phantom Thief may have been known for robbing stores and committing vandalism on private property but he wasn't a murderer, right?
No matter what happened or no matter what kind of situation this was, she had to get out of there as soon as possible and talk to the detectives. She would have tried to protect the old Kokichi she had gotten attached to earlier but he was different now. It was as if she didn't even know who this person was.

Kokichi took off the black hoodie which revealed a white shirt. He looked down at the blood on his hands and sighed. Then, he moved onto a bed in the corner of the room and sat on it, exhausted.
He was in one of the rooms in the hallway that the locked door lead into. He didn't cry because he didn't want to accept the fact that his family was dead. All he had left was Kirumi but he had pushed her away. So, in the end, he knew that he had to do what he was best at, lie to himself. He had to deny that they were all gone and recklessly slaughtered.
'She probably thinks I murdered someone from the blood on my hands. Guess she's finally scared of me now,' he thought.
Kokichi was many things but he was not a murderer. He wouldn't commit murder even if someone took everything he loved from him. Despite his life of crime, he was a good person deep inside. Though, he did do something to get his revenge.
He got those scars through a struggle he went through when executing his plan. He was going to tape the cop next to the dead bodies, alive. Though, when he tried to grab the cop and hold him down, the cop was very defensive and kept slashing through Kokichi's arms with the knife and eventually had cut a scar through his cheek.
Then, after Kokichi had gotten the officer down next to the bodies, he hacked into the security cameras, turned them off, deleted all footage and evidence of him being there, and put a tape of the cop murdering his family right next to the cop. He didn't care that he was leaving footprints and fingerprints all over the police station since he wasn't the one who committed the crime for once.
He then thought back to one of the only things he remembered his mother saying to him before he had become some abandoned kid on the street. "If you're alone, you're a useless piece of trash. Well, I'd hate to break it to you, but you're alone. You'll always be alone."
Himiko was the only person keeping him company at the moment. She was the only person keeping him stable. Well, his intelligence was keeping him stable as well.
He heard a loud crash of glass shattering all over the living room floor behind the door. That wasn't a good sign. He ran outside the door and spotted a broken television laying in front of him. The door was also completely broken. Himiko was gone. The question was, how was she able to escape?
"If Yumeno ~ Chan genuinely thinks that I murdered someone, I'm in big trouble..." he said in realization.

Himiko wore a black dress with white and red polka dots as she approached the police station. She was standing in front of the front desk. Disturbingly, the lady working at the front desk was smoking a lot. There was a white, long, cigarette being held between two of her fingers. She had the urge to just yell, 'Nyeh?! Is that even allowed? Who hired her?' Thankfully, Himiko was taught to be polite throughout all of her childhood.
"The detectives will be meeting you in about a minute," she smiled through the cigarette smoke.
"Thank you."
Kirigiri walked into the station and exclaimed, "Where were you? Your parents, Detective Saihara, and I were all worried sick!"
"Uh, I got kidnapped by the Phantom Thief but I escaped," Himiko answered.
"Wait, what?! Where? Did you find out where he lives?"
Himiko was about to tell her everything but then remembered how hurt he looked the last time he saw him. Her original theory was that something happened to his entire family and the blood on him could have been from self defense. Even if his attitude had changed, she couldn't just expose everything that she had learned about him, including his identity.
"Uh, no. I was...um..locked in a trash can with breathing holes and food!"
Kirigiri raised an eyebrow, suspecting the young mage's answer was a lie. "Do you remember where..?"
"I didn't really pay attention, I was just in front of a gray brick wall. When I got out, I found my way back to the police station as soon as possible."

That evening, Himiko Yumeno returned home. Of course, when she returned home, she saw a whole feast full of food on the table. Her mother ran to her, hugged her, cried, and whined over how she was worried sick and how much she missed her.
After Himiko finished eating dinner and hung out with her mother for a while, she entered her room and saw a note on her bed. The note said, "Meet me at the park at 3 A.M."
"Kokichi...." Himiko thought out loud to herself. He must have wanted to either kidnap her again or talk things out.
Either way, Himiko decided to meet him there anyways, because her curiosity got the best of her, as usual.
