19 days later
You were sorting through your materials, finding just what you needed to top off your project.
"Anddd there!"
You organized your project in a small box, sealing it with a red bow. After finalizing it, you stored it into your jacket and jumped out your window.
After flying a few seconds, you arrived at your destination. Sneaking through the back window, you entered the house quietly. After navigating, you found the room of the devil.
Opening the door, you saw the red head in a deep sleep on his desk. Peeking over his shoulder, you found numerous notebooks open with handwritten data on the reverse anti-matter treatment.
You put your project under his bed.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Karma."
You wrapped a blanket around the sleeping body and left the house.
As you were heading back home, you received a notification.
"Students, please arrive early to school tomorrow to discuss plans on the reverse anti-matter treatment."
- Karasuma
You read the message with hope. Maybe he found something.
One day later.
As you entered the classroom, you found that no one else was there.
Taking out your phone, you rechecked the message to confirm.
6:59 AM.
Hm, maybe I came a bit too early?
You sat down in your seat before feeling a weird sensation. Almost like you were being watched, targeted even.
Your instincts told you something was wrong.
Breaking the windows, you escaped the building at Mach 40 and flew out to the field before realizing death just missed you.
Observing the sky, you noticed a device similar to a spinning top was aimed at the building with a shining red light.
what the fuck was that??
You tried to quickly fly out of the area but found yourself enclosed by a yellow screen surrounding the school. As you touched the screen, your body disintegrated.
Heh. So today was the day.
Finding yourself cornered you returned to the classroom and sat in your seat calmly.
'7 days left'

"The device has fired and the two shields are up. Running calculations."
As keys clicked and mouses spurred across screens, the group nervously looked for a sign.
"Target 221 is enclosed in the second shield. Phase one is complete."
Keys clicked.
"Target 222 was not assassinated."
Karasuma sighed. "Find her."
After a few minutes of reviewing the event, a report was made. "Target 222 escaped from the shot then proceeded to attempt escape but failed to the shield. The target returned to the classroom."
"Good. Send the report the headquarters and prepare for the final operation," Karasuma said.
Keys clicked.

Karma's pov
I woke up to numerous footsteps running outside my window. Looking out, crowds of people surrounded a government vehicle. My phone buzzed.
Class 3-E
Nagisa: hey is everyone ok? there's stuff going on outside my house
idiot blonde: same here
Kayano: yeah! there's a bunch of soldiers cutting off the street to school
I thought to myself. What's the meaning of this?
Karma: Meet up at the train station, let's try to get to school and see what's going on
I quickly put on clothes and left my house to the train station, avoiding any activity around. I can't look suspicious.
As I arrived at the train station, everyone else met around me.
"Is everyone here?" Isogai asked, looking around.
"Y/n."
I pulled my phone out and messaged her.
Karma: Y/n. Where are you? Are you okay? We're all at the station but you
my girlfriend: Karma, can you call right now?
I instantly called her, my hand shaking. She answered.
'Hey, Karma. There's not much I can say or do but. My time has come. I'm sorry.'
I dropped my phone on the ground, sinking to my knees.
"Karma!?"
"Oi, you good?"
"Hey, what's with you?"
The words of my classmates blurred out. I couldn't see through my teary eyes.
"Guys."
I couldn't accept the fact. It's not true.
"We lost."

Your pov
I hung up. I think it's okay. I mean, none of this is okay really, but I think I did well.
It's the right thing to do anyways.
I think.
I slouched in my chair, looking out. The yellow screen is extremely high tech. It doesn't let in any sunlight, destroys anti-matter at contact, and has multiple layers projected by about 5 machines I'd say.
No sunlight.
I made my way towards the empty classroom and opened the notebooks laid out without damaging the glass flasks and chemicals stored nearby. Quickly scanning them all in seconds, I found what information I needed.
☑Step 14: Swirl the A flask over a heat pad at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for two minutes. Let the flask sit for 24 hours before Step 15.
☐Step 15: Combine A flask and B flask. Let the compound sit in the sunlight for 48 hours minimum.
Looks like it's the end for me.
I opened my phone to message Okuda.
Y/n: Hi Okuda. Thank you for everything, but the treatment can't be made within the school grounds now. I'm sorry.

6 days later. The day of the final operations.
3:44 AM
Isogai: is everyone ready?
Nakamura: yes!
Maehara: ready as ever.
Nagisa: let's do this!
Karma's pov
It's been 6 days since the incident. Y/n's been alone for 6 days. I hope she's okay.
I put on my cargo pants, black long sleeve, and camouflage vest. After wrapping my hand with bandages, I pulled my hood over my head and exited through my window and to hop around on the roof tiles.
I came across Nagisa after a few minutes. We acknowledged each other before continuing our expedition.
flashback at Karma's house
"Dude your house is humongous!" Maehara commented.
"So... you're rich~" Nakamura said.
"Guys come on, let's focus on the mission. We only have 6 days."
Everyone gathered in my family room. But, why my house of all choices...
"So, Koro-sensei is being held captive in another one of those shields. How can we make a plan without him?" Nagisa said.
It was silent for a bit. Even the crickets got the cue to shut up.
"Karma, we all know you're the best leader here. Can you-?" Isogai motioned.
"I mean... I dunno." I don't feel confident enough for this.
"C'mon Karmaa. You lead the red team in capture the flag! Your leadership was flawless," Nakamura added.
"Until y/n kissed youuu~" Nagisa said, hugging himself. Idiot.
I punched Nagisa firmly. "Fine. Let's start this then..."
After some time I ended up making the teams and plan.
(Basically the important people/my favs lol)
"Let's review. Chiba, Hayami, you'll be stationed at the highest point South of the shield. Maehara and Isogai, you two work the best together so you'll pair to protect them."
The four nodded.
"Kanzaki, I want you to attack from the East end of the mountain to ambush the soldiers stationed here. Kayano, Hinata back her up with close combat."
"Terasaka and friends, I need you to make a distraction in the West to draw some of the soldiers away from the shield. Make it loud and clear. You guys mark the start of the operation."
(pretend I mentioned the rest of the students)
"Nagisa, you'll pair with me to push North. We need to clear the soldiers the fastest in order to regroup with the rest," I pointed on the map. "We'll be taking it heavy so be prepared."
Nagisa nodded and fiddled with his hands. He must be nervous. But I know I can trust him.
"Remember, the plan is to enter the school grounds, give her the treatment, and break one of the machines to disable the shield. It's almost ready, right Okuda?"
"Yes, Karma. Luckily I've been preparing the treatment at home. I knew I couldn't leave it at school since Karasuma was around. It should be ready in 4 days," she replied.
"Alright everyone, let's meet again in 5 days to review the plan before action."
back to the present
We all grouped up in an alley to avoid suspicious activities. Though, dark empty alleys are pretty suspicious...
4:00 AM.
Equipping our weapons, I sent the signal, motioning all groups to head to their positions. We were able to avoid the guards thanks to Nagisa scouting these past days. Apparently, they switch guards every hour, so we'll take advantage of that.
Once I was in position, I sent a signal through my phone. Multiple buzzes returned back.
Everyone was ready.
I looked at Nagisa who was adjusting his hood. He looked back at me and nervously smiled. He mouthed the words, 'for y/n.'
I nodded, sending the final signal through my phone. That's when the operation started with fireworks blasting from the West side of the mountain that spelled 'F U'.
I guess that's their way of making a ruckus.
As soon as the soldiers in our path cleared, Nagisa and I made our way up the mountain. I heard screams and groans from left and right, but no one else was crossing over in our path. Why?
That's when two solid feet landed in front of our vision. Nagisa and I quickly dashed in opposite directions and hid behind a tree.
A man with sharp hair and glasses stood there holding two guns.
"I get you guys are kids, but I won't hesitate to use these," he said, showing off his weapons.
Craig Hojo. Leader of the Wolfpack, the strongest unit of soldiers in the Ministry of Defense. He's one rank higher than Karasuma. This... was not part of the plan.
Nagisa looked at me with fear, not knowing how to handle the situation. It's not like I did either. This wasn't like anything we trained for. This is life or death.
After assessing the situation, I motioned my hands for Nagisa to see, trying to avoid making any shadows. He nodded.
The battle began.
We climbed our trees simultaneously and dashed through the branches.
Mr. Hojo's eyes have probably adjusted to the dark. So let's change that.
I quickly took out my portable flashlights and tied them to a branch, aiming it towards the man. As I turned them on, I fired my gun at his shoulder at the same time, purposely missing. I just wanted to get his attention anyways.
He quickly turned to face where the shot came from, instantly holding his arm up to block the light; It's a natural instinct after all. This will give Nagisa an opportunity.
I saw his body shift in the branches. Then he dropped down, bringing a knife to Mr. Hojo's hair and slicing it clean. He threw the bunch into his face and kicked dirt into his face afterwards and escaping back into the trees.
Heh, playing dirty is fun.
Mr. Hojo dropped the gun in his left hand to clear his vision. I took this chance to drop an axe kick on his arm, probably breaking it. Afterwards, I threw a back kick, aiming for his face. Of course he blocked it.
I grabbed his gun and shot it at the ground, causing him to jump backwards towards Nagisa.
Nagisa swung down from his branch and successfully pulled off a Nekodamashi (stun clap).
As Mr. Hojo stumbled, Nagisa wrapped his legs around his shoulders, disabling his movements.
"Karma!"
I saw the opportunity clearly. I powered up and landed a clean kick to Mr. Hojo's head, breaking his glasses into his face.
He fell to the ground.
I took out my ropes and fastened his arms and legs with Nagisa's help. We looked at each other with victory, ending the battle with a high-five.
Afterwards, I brought out my specialty items and teased Mr. Hojo.
"Karma... why do you always carry wasabi and hot mustard with you," Nagisa sighed.
"Ehehe, for special events like these of course. Now now Mr. Hojo, say 'ahhh.'"
I forced the condiments into his mouth and closed it shut. Afterwards I placed the tubes into his nose with clips on the ends.
"Don't hold back now, Mr. Hojo. You can be as loud as you want," I smirked, pushing Nagisa along.
"Karma, what's all that noise coming from your direction?" Kanzaki questioned through our ear pieces.
"Just some bait, no worries Kanzaki-chan, I have it all under control."
Nagisa and I ran up the mountain, passing soldiers who were unaware of our ascent.
As we regrouped, the rest of my classmates and Nagisa and I head towards the shield.
5:56 AM.
As we entered the school grounds, we saw y/n sitting in the grass, waiting patiently for our arrival.
