She is a champagne princess. A little 4:20 hunny.
A splash of class and sass all mixed up in a whiskey glass.
She has a heart of gold. A life that's young, and a soul that's old.

For the last week, I've been busy with homework, but I have made good progress. I am done with English, Math, and History except for the tests. I have all of the tests scheduled for next week, so I can officially begin my junior-year classes in a couple of weeks.
Tonight is Friday, which means Friday night dinners. I am stuck alone because Logan is doing something at the office with his father. After he is done with his father, I am meeting him and his family for dinner.
"Torrie, it's almost time for dinner," Grandma tells me as she knocks on my door. She opens it slightly, finding me sitting at the vanity doing my makeup. "You look very nice."
"Thank you, Grandma, I'm having dinner with the Huntzbergers tonight." I remind her, standing up. I grab my overnight bag and slide my heels on.
"Yes that is right, well Lorelai and Rory will be here anytime, will you please join us at the table?" She asks.
"Yes. I will be down right after you." I say, putting my phone and pager in my bag. I head down the stairs and sit at my seat at the table. Only a few minutes after I sit down, Lorelai, Rory, and Grandma take their seats.
"You're not eating?" Lorelai asks pointing her fork at me.
"No. I have a dinner I'm going to in a little while." I answer politely.
"Oh." That is all she says. "So where'd you say dad was?" Lorelai asks Grandma.
"Away on business. Germany." Grandma answers her.
Grandma and Lorelai went back and forth before I stood up, "I need to be going."
"Be careful, tell Mitchum I said hello, and don't forget the funeral is on Thursday."
"I will be careful, and yes I will be there," I say and grab my bag.
As I walk out the door I can hear Grandma explaining whose funeral it is to Lorelai. I shake my head at how Lorelai acts, and head to my car. Once I'm situated, I head to the restaurant.

Once I get to the restaurant, I hand my keys to the valet and head inside. I tell the host I'm dining under the last name Huntzberger, and she rushes to take me to my table. Already seated at the table are Mitchum, Shira, Honor, and Logan. There is one empty chair between Honor and Logan.
"You made it," Mitchum says to me.
Logan stands up and pulls my chair out, as I sit down he whispers in my ear, "Thank god your here."
I pull away from Logan and smile at Mitchum, "Yes, I'm sorry I am late, I got held up speaking to my Grandma. She says to tell you hello."
"Honor how's college going?" Shira asks her daughter.
"It is going well, the classes are not too hard and the sorority has been doing a lot of charitable work. Torrie, how is Chilton treating you?" Honor then turns her head and looks at me.
"It is going well, I was informed that I can graduate at the end of next year," I tell them.
"That's amazing, you'll be graduating at the same time as Logan then," Shira tells me with a smile.
"Yes, What are you going to major in?" Mitchum asks me. He plans for Logan to work for him when he is done with college and has been trying to get me on the same path.
"I am thinking about marketing. I'd be able to incorporate art in my everyday work." I reply. Logan grabs my hand under the table to keep himself calm. He knows his father is about to ask me to work for him, again.
"Marketing is a great field of work. You know, in a few years I might need a new marketing supervisor." Mitchum tells me with a sparkle in his eye.
"You know Mr. Huntzberger, why don't we discuss job opportunities after I'm halfway through college? That way we are not trying to plan anything too soon, you never know what the future holds." I tell him politely, knowing he respects me well.
"This is why I like you Victorie. You make plans but also allow for change to happen without it wrecking everything. I think you'll do amazing in Marketing." Mitchum tells me genuinely. Mitchum has been pushing the idea of Logan and me being married and running the family business. Although Logan is completely against the idea, a small part of my mind could see it coming true.
We continue making small talk while eating dinner. When we all finished eating, we said our goodbyes.
"You'll need to come to visit me more", Honor tells me hugging me tightly.
"I will," I tell her with a smile.
"You are welcome over whenever my dear," Shira tells me after hugging me.
"Thank you, Mrs. Huntzberger," I reply.
"Come find me when you're ready to discuss colleges and a job. You will do amazing things, don't let my son's behavior deter you from achieving your full potential." Mitchum tells me as he shakes my hand.
I let out a giggle and tell him, "I won't let him deter me from reaching my goals. And he's not a troublemaker with me." I tell Mitchum.
"If that's the case, you will be invited to every gala and dinner we have to keep him on his best behavior."
"I think I can do that." Logan and I walk outside to my car and he heads to the driver's side door.
"Unless chivalry isn't dead and you're just opening my door, I don't know why else you would be standing at my door like you're going to drive. " I tell him.
Logan looks surprised, "Yes, I thought I would be a gentleman and open the lady's door. Although it wouldn't be chivalry if the man didn't drive."
I roll my eyes, "Either I drive or you walk, your choice." This got him in a hurry and he dove into my passenger seat. "Good. Now, where are we going?"
"My house?" Logan answers with a question. I start driving to his house. Once we get to his house, I take off my heels and carry them with me. Wearing heels isn't normally a problem for me but this pair is brand new.
"My feet hurt," I tell Logan as we make it to the bottom of the stairs. All of the sudden my feet are no longer on the floor and I'm being carried. "Awe my Prince Charming".
"Here you go, Darlin," Logan says as he drops me harshly on his bed and walks away. I slide off his bed and onto the floor. I sit there for a minute, and as Logan comes back I stick my hand up in the air.
"Help me up please," I tell him with puppy dog eyes. He grabs my hand and pulls me off the floor. He hands me a shirt to sleep in and begins walking away. "Hey. Come help me with this stupid zipper."
Logan runs his hands up my sides as he moves toward the zipper. I struggle to not flinch at the feeling of sparks at his touch. For some unknown reason, he takes his time unzipping my dress. Once he's done, I slide the dress off and throw his shirt on, not even thinking about the fact I wasn't wearing a bra tonight.
"Why do you look like that?" I ask him as he stands frozen in place staring at me
"Like what?" he answers.
"I don't know you are just staring at me."
"That's because I am just realizing how beautiful my best friend is." He tells me as he inches closer to me.
"What did you just say?" I ask. We are standing so close together now, our foreheads are touching.
"I said you are beautiful." After he says that, he leans in and so do I. Our lips are only connected for a second before the phone rang. I jump back and look at Logan. As he goes to answer the phone, I move to lie on the bed.
As I get a movie started, Logan comes back in. "Who was that?" I ask him
"Mom, she wanted to remind me that they will be gone the rest of the weekend."
"Oh." Logan crawls into bed and lays next to me. As I begin to drift to sleep, I feel his lips on my forehead.
"You don't know what you are doing to me" I hear him whisper. I smile and curl up more into him and fall into a deep sleep.

Thursday approached quickly. I left Logan's Saturday morning and went home. I have worked on homework all week. I took every test for History, Math, and English today. Now that school is done for the day, I have to attend a funeral.
I drive home from school and immediately change into a black dress. I grab my favorite black heels and head down to the car. Grandma is already waiting for me in the car, when I get in we head straight to the funeral.
I didn't know Claudia that well, so I sit in a chair in the back of the room working on my sketchbook until my grandma tells me it is time to go home. Once we get home, I lay in my bed and think about one thing.
I kissed my best friend.
