hello my lovelies,

I hope you had a great day today and if not, I promise you there will be better times.

Have fun reading and always remember that you are amazing and enough.

I love you, bye.

TW: Homophobic slur

„No, I am fine. I promise." I say, putting a smile on my face as I look at Oliver's concerned one.

"You sure? Did Justin make you uncomfortable?" He asks.

"I am sure, ok? My head is spinning because I drank too much, but I am not completely wasted. I am fine. He didn't do anything wrong."

The truth. I am at a level where I maybe can't think straight but I can pretend. Of course, when I am full-on drunk it's obvious but after years of fearing my parents' anger after a night out, there is a line where I am convincing when it comes to my soberness.

My friends and the people around me always think I am either sober or completely drunk because I can't handle the alcohol and maybe that's true because I don't endure much but I am way more often drunk than they expect.
When they think I am sober because I am smiling and talking in clear sentences I am already so gone into another world where I can forget.

They look into my eyes and think I am safe while my head is destroying me from the inside and the liquid is numbing the pain.
"Really? Because I can bring you home if you need me to."

„I am good but my best friend Emmabell will be here soon to pick me up if this is ok. Of course, I won't leave you alone here, so how about you come with us? We will just hang around or stuff like that. Casual but with people I am sure you will like." I say.
He rubs his hand over the back of his neck, looking unsure.

"I don't know, maybe I should just walk home or something. I don't know her and maybe she doesn't want me there."

"No, what? Are you crazy? You can't walk home alone through New York at night after you had something to drink. You could get attacked. If you don't like her or you want home, we can immediately bring you there but I promise you, she will love you."

"Is she like you? So... energetic?"

"I am not energetic and no we are completely different. I don't know how to describe it but she won't bite. Only if you want her to."
I say, winking at him.

"Ok. I will come along."
"Yes. Great, then let's walk down the street and wait there for her. I don't like being here any longer, honestly."

"You didn't enjoy it?"

"It just wasn't for me and I don't like the people."

"Fuck, I am so sorry and I forced you to come here but I guess I don't like them either. At least the few I talked to are massive idiots."

"You didn't force me, ok? Everything is alright and yeah the ones I talked to didn't seem like the nicest either."

He gives me a little smile and then presses his lips tightly together while giving me a short nod. When he turns around we walk down the street, the alcohol still messing with my brain.
~~~~~
"Aleandra. Fuck, I missed you." I hear the familiar voice yelling and as I look up from my phone I see my best friend stumbling out of a black limousine.
Oh no, what the hell?!
She storms towards me on wobbly legs and throws her arms around me.
"You are in a good mood," I say, letting out a chuckle as I see the grin on her face and the sparkle in her eyes.
"I am feeling amazing but you don't, right. You look so sad. Are you sad?"
"I am not sad, the alcohol makes you think that. I am good."
"No. You are sad but the good thing is I have a surprise for you." She rambles as she steps away and grips my hand tightly.
She moves to the side and lifts her arm to show off the expensive car.
"Eh... Emmabell. I don't understand? Did you rent it or stole it?"
"No silly, it's not about the car. But the people in it. Kaden and some other guy-I forgot his name-are in there. Oh, and Harvey but I ignore him the entire night. We met at the party I went to and they are waiting inside for us."
Oh no. She is ignoring Harvey? God, that's so her.
"Kaden is here? And why are you ignoring Harvey?" I say, trying not to sound too shocked or overwhelmed.
I thought I would never see him again.
You don't even know that guy, my brain says but the alcohol in my system ignores everything my head thinks.
"Yes, he is and he looks so hot." She says ignoring my other question.
"Oh, is that Oliver?" Before I can reply her gaze meets the guy behind me and her face lights up.
She looks at him and then flashes me a look that tells me how attractive she finds him.
He is beautiful, indeed and the little things I already know about him make me like him even more.
"Yes, that's me," Oliver says, stretching out his hand, looking a little overwhelmed by her.
"Sure she doesn't bite?" He asks with a bit of humor in his voice as she shakes his hand for a short moment.
"Only if you want me to." She replies with a grin on her face.
"See." Oliver and I try to hold back a laugh at her repeating the same lame joke I said before.
"Ok, stop with the chatting now. We have to get in and party. I swear I am not drunk at all. I still have to do so many things this night. I am way too sober."
I raise my eyebrows at her. "Yeah, I am sure," I reply and follow her as she runs to the limousine, her walk not as straight as she probably wants it to be.
I look back and see that Oliver is walking after me with a little unsure smile on his lips and I relax as I see he doesn't seem too uncomfortable.
My best friend rips open the door and quickly disappears inside and I carefully place myself in the black car, Oliver moving beside me.
"Heyyy." I hear getting greeted and as I am fully seated I look up and see Harvey flashing me one of his million-dollar smiles that can make everyone go weak.
"Hey, Harvey. Didn't expect you to be here." I say, smiling back at him, my head spinning from the sudden movement my head did.
"Sounds like you have to get to know me. I am wherever a party is and when Bella told me you wanted to get saved from those pathetic frat idiots, I was ready to be your knight in shining amour." He says, with a grin on his face.
Bella?
BELLA?!
I see Emmabell rolling her eyes and I have to hold back my laugh.
As the driver starts the car and we leave this place I turn my head to the side and see Oliver looking at a blond guy our age and his face is anything but joyful. He looks angry and uncomfortable but the mix is so confusing that I can't be sure.
"You wanna come with us or go home?" I ask him, in a voice that is more like whispering than my normal tone.
"Honestly, I wanna go home." He replies.
"Where do you live?"
Harvey tells the driver Oliver's address.
"Fuck, that was very rude of me. I didn't ask for your name. I am Harvey Remington and that is Kaden Harrison and Edmund Huxley" He introduces but Kaden doesn't speak up and I don't look at him.
I know from a short glance before that he is here but I can't bring myself to look at him for whatever reason so I pretend he isn't here.
"Oliver Hill."
"Are you related to-" Harvey starts as he shakes Oliver's hand.
"No fucking way. That's why your face seemed so familiar to me." The blonde speaks up, mischief glinting in his eyes as he looks at Oliver.
"You know each other?" Emmabell asks.
"We both went to East Shores before I switched schools."
"Yeah but he hella changed since then. The last time I saw him there was so much acne on his face, you could barely see his eyes. Dude, I can't even describe it but it was fucking disgusting and the glasses he wore-made him look like a freak." He says, laughing hysterically like he is telling the funniest joke that was ever made.
The shock is plastered on all our faces and Oliver turns his gaze to the floor, his jaw clenched.
What the hell is wrong with this guy? How can he think this is funny?
"Why did you even change school? It was so much less fun without you. Dude, you made my day when you were there."
I look at Oliver in concern, my hands clamping in fists because of the rage inside me.
"Didn't like the people there." He just responds.
I can imagine who you mean with people.
The guilt comes up as I realize he is just here with him because I wanted to leave.
I should've just stayed and waited till he wanted to go.
"Yeah, some of them were fucking id-"
"Shut up, Huxley," Harvey says, raising his voice but the anger and annoyance on his face saying more than his words.
"Dude, what the fuck? I am just trying to bond with an old friend. Ok?"
Oliver lets out a huff.
Friend.
Yeah, I am sure you were friends.
"Yeah, well. Stop it. We are here to party till the sun goes up and not chat. If you want to talk to someone... get your whores. I am sure they will listen for a few grand. "
Embarrassment and anger creep up his cheek but he doesn't say anything, just clears his throat.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"First we bring Oliver home and then we go to one of my clubs," Kaden speaks up, my body reacting to hearing his voice so unexpectedly. Still, without looking at him, I nod.
"You don't wanna go?" Emmabell asks me and my gaze turns to her.
"No, it's ok. I want you to have fun and it's great that you even picked me up so I can bear a couple of hours in a club for you."
"Fuck no. You shouldn't bear anything. We can hang out for an hour or so, eat something, and then after we bring you home, can party. It's not like the clubs here close at 2, we have the whole night and Bella needs to eat something after all those vodka shots anyway."
"I do not. I am perfectly fine. My alcohol tolerance is through the roof."
"Yeah, sure," I say. She can drink much more than I do but someone who lost their entire senses can realize that she is anything but sober when her words are so slurred that I can barely make them out.
"Well, that's settled. Let's eat something and then blow our brains out."
The blond, which name I have already forgotten lets out a groan, and all our eyes are on him.
"Man, you really can't let that happen. First, we have to pick up some random chick just as I was about to have a threesome with two hella hot gingers with double D's. Then she takes this fucking faggot with her and now you want to let her ruin the entire night by wanting to eat something even though I could be snorting coke off a 10?"
"What the fuck did you just say?" Kaden and I speak up at the same time, my voice louder than his, and our eyes meet for the first time this night.
"What the hell did I say wrong now? Are you mad because I said faggot? Well, that's what he is. Look at him."
My eyes wander from Kaden's face to his fists that are clenched tightly.
"Get out." He says in a calm voice but it's obvious how much he is holding back.
"The fuck? I can't say my opinion now? You seriously want me to leave."
"Yes and now get the fuck out."
"You can't do that."
"I can because this is my fucking car and when I want you to leave that's exactly what you do. And don't forget you go to a school my family practically owns so when I say you jump off a bridge you ask ‚Which one?' and don't hesitate."
"Now, leave my car and shut the door behind you or I am making sure you will never be able to shut a door alone ever again." He says in the calmest down I have ever heard someone curse.
The limousine has already stopped as the guy leaves it and within seconds we are moving again.
Kaden leans back against the leather seat and our eyes meet again.
"Find the best fast food restaurant, Royce. I am starving." He says as he presses a button that makes the driver hear us.
I look at him as he studies my face with an expression I don't even dare to figure out.
