Y/n's Pov:

All of us who weren't wanted criminals loaded into Steve's car and followed the police cars. They were headed to the trailer park. Once we reached our destination, we say a white sheet, supposedly covering a dead body.

"Oh God." I exclaim. But someone else unexpected was there. "Hey, is that Nancy?"

"I think you're right." Steve says. We all get our of the car, and Nancy waves to us.

After Nancy continued to talk to the cops about whatever was going on, we all headed to a picnic table at the trailer park to share stories.

"You're saying that this thing that killed Fred and Chrissy, it's from the Upside Down?" Nancy asks.

"If the shoe fits." Steve says.

"Our working theory is that he attacks with a spell or a curse." Dustin explains. "Now, wether or not he's doing this bidding of the Mind Flayer or just loves killing teens, we don't know."

"All we know is this is something different." Max says.

"Something new." I add.

"Doesn't make sense." Nancy says.

"It's only a theory." Dustin claims.

"No, Fred and Chrissy don't make sense. I mean, why them?" Nancy asks.

"Maybe they were just in the wrong place in the wrong time." Dustin suggests. "They were both at the game."

"And near the trailer park." Max adds.

"We're at the trailer park." Steve says. He continues to talk, but I can't focus on that. Somewhere in the back of my head, I hear a faint ticking. Like a clock, almost. But no one here has a watch, and why would a clock be outside?

Then, the ticking gets louder. More real.

"Y/n, you okay?" Robin asks.

"Oh, yeah, sorry." I say.

"As I was saying, Fred started acting weird the second we got here." Nancy says.

"Acting weird as in...?" Robin asks.

"Scared, on edge, upset."

"Max said Chrissy was upset too." Dustin says.

"Yeah, but not here." Max claims. "She was crying in the bathroom at school."

"Yeah, I've heard her crying there too." I confirm.

"Serial killers stalk their prey before they strike, right?" Robin says. "So, maybe Fred and Chrissy saw this Vecman--"

"Vecna." Dustin corrects.

"Dunno bout you, but if I saw some freaky wizard monster, I would mention it to someone." Steve clains.

"Maybe they did." Max suggests. "I saw Chrissy leaving Ms. Kelley's office. If you saw a monster, you wouldn't go to the police. They'd never believe you. But you might go to your--"

"Your shrink." Robin finishes. Max nods. Then, the six of us stand up from the table and make our way back to the car. Another plan had finally formed. But instead of going to the car, Nancy decides to take another path.

"Whoa, whoa, Nance. Nance!" Steve calls out. "Where are you going?"

"Oh, there's just something I wanna check on first." She explains.

"Something you wanna share with the rest of us?" Dustin asks.

"I don't wanna waste your time. It's a real shot in the dark." Nancy claims.

"Yeah, okay, are you out of your mind?" Steve asks. "Flying solo with Vecna on the loose? No, it's too dangerous. You need... you need someone to..." Steve stutters, trying to find the words to say. Robin and I share a knowing glance. Was Steve really over Nancy?" "Here. I'll stick with Nance. Steve says, tossing Robin the keys. "You guys take the car, check out the shrink."

"I don't think you want me driving your car." Robin says.

"Why?" Steve questions.

"I don't have a license."

"Why don't you have a license?"

"I'm poor." Robin states.

"I can drive." Max suggests.

"No, never again. Please. Anybody but you, no. Not a chance." Steve says. "Y/n, why don't you just drive?"

"Uh, first off, I don't even know what or who a shrink is, second of all, I kinda want to see what Nancy has up her sleeve."

"Alright, okay, this is stupid." Robin says. She walks over to Dustin, grabs a walkie talkie out of his backpack, tosses the keys back to Steve, grabs my hand and drags me over to Nancy.

"Us ladies will stick together. Unless you think we need you to protect us." Robin jokes. I laugh and give her hand a squeeze. Steve nods and the three of us walk over to Nancy's car.

"Be careful!" Steve calls out.

The three of us got into Nancy's car and started our journey to the library.

~~~~~
Once we had arrived at the library, Nancy was explaining her theory to us.
"So, let me get this straight." I say. "Eddie's uncle Wayne thinks that Victor Creel escaped from Pennhurst Asylum and that he's the one running around committing these murders?"
"Pretty much." Nancy answers.
"But Victor committed the eyeball murders, like, way back in the 50s." Robin states.
"Well, 59." Nancy corrects.
"So, that means these murders predate Eleven in the Upside Down by about 30 years?" Robin asks.
"Yeah." Nancy confirms. I had a feeling that she was starting to get annoyed with us, but I couldn't focus on that over that horrible sound of a clock.
"Which makes spooky Victor Creel like 70 years old." Robin continues.
"Yep." Nancy says with a sigh.
"So, he's like a grandpa murderer who can turn invisible and lift people into the air." Robin says.
"It doesn't make sense. I know. That's why i said it was a shot in the dark." Nancy says, repeatedly ringing the bell on the librarian's desk.
"I know. I just thought that by "shot in the dark," you were being modest or hiding something super solid up your sleeve that you were gonna wow us with later. But this is really, truly, a shot in the dark.  Like, we are snipers with blindfolds on who've been spun around 50 times." Robin rants as Nancy continues to rapidly ring the bell.
"Coming!" The librarian answers.
"Hi, sorry, we're in a bit of a rush." Nancy says. "Could we get the keys to the basement archives?"
"Well, I don't know. We usually only let staff down there--" The librarian starts.
"Ma'am? We are simply here for knowledge." I say, remembering that trick my brother taught me. "We are three curious young girls with a mystery to solve. A mystery that needs an energy source. A mystery that is a boat, and a boat needs paddles. We need those archived news articles, or our curiosity boat will sink. Do you want the dreams of three young, curious, aspiring girls to be crushed? Or are you going to let us into the basement?"
The lady sighs, but she hands over the keys. The three of us take them and walk down to the bottom floor.
"Nice trick." Robin says.
"Thanks, I learned it from Dustin." I state.
Nancy hands us some newspaper tabes to feed into the machine. She sits down at one end, and Robin sits at the other and I stand behind her, peeking over her shoulder. We look for a while, but I don't really pay attention. All I can comprehend is that loud ticking sound.
"Anything... juicy over there?" Robin asks Nancy.
"Nothing new." She answers.
"Yep, same here." I say.
"Victor seemed like a normal guy." Robin claims. "Dead family, missing eyes, took a plea deal, sent to Pennhurst. Blah blah blah blah." Robin leans over the side of the machine.
"What are we looking for exactly?" She asks. "Nance?"  Robin nocks on the wooden machine. Nancy leans to the side aswer.
"Any mention of dark wizards or alternate dimensions?" I ask her. "Things in that vein?"
"I don't know, okay?" Nancy answers. "It's starting to seem like this was just a big waste of time." Nancy stands up and continues to talk to Robin, but the ticking has gotten too loud to ignore.
It seems to be coming from a window, so I walk over to the small one in the basement. I take a peek outside, and even though it's dark, I see a grandfather clock directly outside the window.
It was an old, brown grandfather clock that wasn't in the best shape. It's actual clock face was made of cracked glass, and there were cobwebs that prevented the pendulum from moving all the way.
The ticking got even louder as I approached the clock, but then, instead of simple ticks, it chimed as if a new hour had passed. But then it chimed again. And again. Then, I hear an all to familiar voice.
"Fucking, disgusting, whore!" I hear a man yell. I turn around, and all of a sudden I am no longer in the library. Instead, I am transported to my old home, the place I lived before I moved to Hawkins. The location isn't the only thing that's changed. I look down at my hands, and to my horror, I am holding a wooden spoon.
I see a man and a pregnant woman. My parents.
"A goddamn, good for nothing, slut!" My father yells. He then balls his fist, and smacks my mother straight across the face. She instantly falls to the floor, as she had blacked out. Still, my father continues to kick her in her stomach.
"Stop!" I scream, lunging at the man as an attempt to stab him with my spoon. My father turned around, picked me up by the collar of my shirt, and slammed me as hard as he could onto the cold, hard, kitchen counters.
"That's what you get, you fucking bitch!" He yells, hitting me in the stomach, over and over again, until I almost black out as well. I close my eyes in defeat, but when I open them, my father, mother, and the kitchen is gone. I am simply surrounded by red fog.
Then, I see the fog clear out, and a figure, no, a monster, stands a few feet away from me, looking down at the floor. Suddenly, the figure looks up at me.
"Y/n." It says.
Robin's Pov:
After I had found the Weekly Watcher article about Victor Creel, and Nancy and I had decided that Vecna was the one who killed the Creel family, it was time to reconnect with the others.
Nancy and I quickly went up the stairs to the first floor basement, only to find Y/n standing completely still, staring at the window.
"Is she okay?" Nancy asks.
"I don't know." I say, walking towards my girlfriend. "You know, how about you wait outside and contact Dustin, we'll be out in a second."
"Okay." Nancy says as she continues her way out of the library. I stand next to Y/n, confused as to what was going on.
"Hey, Y/n? It's time to head out." I say. I turn around to face, her, and her eyes had gone completely white, as if they had rolled to the other side of her head.
It was just like how Eddie had described Chrissy.
I instantly began to shake Y/n in hopes of waking her from this trance.
"Y/n, Y/n, please, I need you to wake up!" I yell. "Y/n wake up! I don't like this! Y/n, wake up!"
I can feel tears start to form in my eyes. I can't lose her. I can't lose the girl I love. I give her a kiss on the lips, hoping that'll somehow bring her back. But it doesn't work.
"Y/n, please! Wake up, wake up!" I yell.
Then, her eyes open, and she falls to the ground, but I catch her before her head hits the floor. She's panting and crying and she won't look me in the eye. I gently hold her face in my hands.
"Y/n... what happened?" I ask her. She maintains eye contact with me for a second before wrapping me in a hug.
"I saw him." she says while sobbing into my shoulder. "I saw Vecna."
~~~~~

Yay, chapter and cliffhanger! I might have another chapter up later, but it's already kinda late, I'm tired, and I've already released 4 chapters with a total of 5000+ words today, so I don't know. Also, that's a record for me! Yay~

I hope you guys are enjoying this so far.

Yuh.

I'm honestly running out of ideas as to what to say for these.

Anyways, love ya.
