It had rained all through the night, and all through to the morning. Of course, Two was to blame for this. Golfball had been eyeing up her camera grudgingly, grumbling to herself unhappily as she observed the outdoors through the lens and saw nothing but pouring rain. "It's still raining!" She complained, standing down from the camera and hopping back onto the floor. "We have to prepare to leave regardless. We cannot waste anymore time waiting for the rain to go."
The news about Fries and.. everything else yesterday had been heavy. The thing that NONE of them expected though was the news about Donut. Nobody had thought this.. I mean, the fact that Four would be alive after all this time was unlikely, so the Four death news wasn't exactly a stab to the heart, but the fact he had FOURS POWERS really caught some off guard.
Basketball mentioned how only Gelatin knew.. to her knowledge. It was possible Fries knew as well since he would always be around Donut. Why didn't Fries say anything though when he was here? He did say there was some things he couldn't mention.. which was annoying because now they would never know what that was.
But also it raised another question. Why had Donut not done anything? Was it really that difficult to use the powers? Golfball didn't know because she had never had a numbers power abilities before but.. that question pondered her. She NEEDED to meet Donut, they all needed to. He was the missing piece to the puzzle on how to stop Two for good.
Blackhole was out as of currently, patrolling the area nearby in case there was any sign of the group. He insisted so that he could attack them head on if he saw them.
"You got that right." Snowball grumbled, boredly leaning against the wall nearby. Everyone was sat around, only having just woken up around an hour ago. Jr groaned "Ughhh!!! I hate the damn rain!" He kicked some trash.
"Well I hate dying! So I think we should leave as soon as possible." Naily shot back at him, before looking over to Golfball hopefully "We are leaving today, right?"
"You can count on that. We will need everyone to carry something, if they can. 8-ball, you are the exception." She grimaced, annoyed. He grinned ".. Wish you were me?"
"Ha! Hardly so." She confidently spat, before quieting down as Tennisball entered the room again, carrying Golfballs toolbox into the room out of request. "Here.." he spoke, huffing. "Why, thank you TB." She proceeded to flip up the life and look through it as soon as he placed it down, kneeling down so she could see easier.
"Uh.. what's THAT for?" Blocky asked and pointed at it, crossing his arms as she looked over. Golfball rolled her eyes. "Tch! Were you not listening before?!"
"It's for their bands, Blocky." Eraser snickered, nudging him with his elbow. Golfball huffed. "Hmp! Glad SOMEONE can be bothered to listen to me."
"..Uh." Blocky looked around, still not really understanding "I don't get it. What about the bands?"
"..S-So she can undo them just in case they have some sort of.. tracking feature in them. Or if Two managed to find a way to re-enable them from the base." Clock pointed out. He looked away as soon as other objects looked over at him.
"Seriously? Yikes, I thought Two was too dumb for that." Blocky shrugged passively. Basketball faintly laughed, going to stand. "Ah, kind of. We just wanted to make sure.. '
"Found it!!" Golfball proudly spoke as she took out her screwdriver, holding it in her mouth. She signalled Tennisball to come over so she could work on his first, in which he did. "I-It won't like.. send an electrical impulse if it tries to get removed, will it?" He stammered.
"Well, did you PROGRAM it to do that?" Lollipop wondered, her legs crossed. Bomby looked over to him too, wanting to know the answer. "Uh.. nnno?" Tennisball guessed, but was still weary of the concept.
"Then you should be fucking fine, duhh." Jr pointed out, going to climb up onto a crate by holding onto the top, pushing his legs up against it to try and lift himself, struggling a bit. He did, hopping up onto it so he was at everyone's height - almost.
Thunder rumbled from the outdoors, the rain pounding down onto the metal doors harsher. Woody whimpered in fear, Blocky looking over to him. "Hey buddy!! No worries! We'll be fine. We're wood, we can't get electrocuted-" he whispered the last part to him reassuringly, nudging him.
"The rain BETTER not injure me!" Fanny bellowed out angrily, snapping suddenly. "I have no arms, and I don't trust Lightning to hold an umbrella over my head!"
"W-We'll find a way to solve that.." Tennisball nervously reassured her, smiling to comfort her. He flinched as the band was undone from his ankle, looking down in relief "Thank goodness! It was hard to run with that on.. haha... "
He backed up, letting Basketball go next. "Thanks Golfball." He politely told her. She smiled proudly "Why, of course! I know what I'm doing, duh."
Basketball wearily walked over, looking away to distract herself as Golfball was trying to undo hers now. "Do.. you guys even know where some shelter will be?" She wondered, curious.
"We used to stay in a cave. We can just stay there." Bomby informed, adjusting his eye patch so it was properly fitted on his face. Pen rubbed his eyes tiredly, "Oh, yeah.. I forgot about that cave! Is it still in tact?"
"Uh, duh! Why would a cave NOT be in tact?!" Golfball argued with him, muffled because of the screwdriver in her mouth. Snowball smirked playfully, patting Pens shoulder "Nice question, Pen."
"H-Hey! It was a genuine question!" He whined, crossing his arms. He couldnt help but smile faintly at Snowball as he was grinning at him, though.
Blockys gaze drifted over to Lightning, who seemed to be distant. He hadn't even said anything to add to the conversation, which was strange for him. "Hey, Lightning, everything good dude?"
"Huh?-" he was caught off guard, flinching and moving his hands to his sides as Blocky said his name. "Oh, uh.. yeah. Just thinking." He brushed it off, still seeming bothered. Clock was curious, looking up at him. "..Abouttt..?"
"What?" Lightning looked down. "Aw ..come on. It's kind of personalll." He muttered, seeming kind of uncomfortable over the topic. Blocky didn't expect that. "Huh? Hey, come on, we're all friends! You don't have to be uncomfortable around us!"
"..Its..not that." Lightning awkwardly admitted, briefly looking towards Snowball before looking away. "Mrg.. just .."
He realised it was silent, Basketballs band had only just been undone from her ankle, Golfball carefully placing the screwdriver into her toolbox as she too wanted to know what this was about. Lightning felt nervous that everyone was expecting him to speak, Fanny knowing what this was about. She looked up at him with concern.
"I..I..don't know. It's in the past now." He hesitated.
"What's in the past now??" Jr crossed his arms, curious "Come on dude! We wanna know the fucking problem!"
"What exactly is this about, Lightning?" Lollipop continued to question, wanting to know what was bothering him. Lightning glanced around, his throat dry from anxiousness from the group wanting him to speak.
He decided to gather the courage, inhaling weakly before looking at Snowball. Snowball knew what was coming, his hands tense together as Lightning opened his mouth to speak. "Snowball.. why did you run away from our group. .."
"E-Excuse me?" "What?" Basketball and Pen both spoke in union, Blocky carrying this on. "Huh? What group? What are you talking about?" He shot questions at Lightning quickly.
"When this all started- Me, Snowball, Fanny, Match, uh, Pencil.. Flower, Ruby and Book were in a group together. Flower and Ruby were.. dead, at the time of this happening, but we were ATTACKED by Free Food. That's why my hands are missing, because FRIES burned them off." He seemed to be annoyed, which was surprising. "Snowball.. look- Match and Pencil died that day because.. you ran away." His voice started getting louder." Me and Fanny were lucky to have each other. Book ran off after getting hurt- we.. we had NOBODY else. If you didn't run- then maybe they would still be ALIVE!!" Lightning cried and put his hands in the air, silencing in the room.
Blocky looked at Golfball. She exchanged a similar look with him, not knowing what the hell this was about.
"Ugh!" Snowball grabbed his head, before storming over to Lightning in rage. Blocky was about to step in, but Eraser put his hand out to stop him from walking foward.
"You act like I did that for NO reason!" Snowball bitterly argued back at him, startling Lightning "You're not the fucking completely innocent one here, Lightning! Dont ACT like you had no idea why I left!" He had lost his patience.
"S-So what I did was a ..a crime?!" Lightning shot back in disbelief, putting his hands on his waist. "Did I hurt you?!"
Snowball grit his teeth, angry but tense from that comment. He took a moment to reply to that. "No.."
"NO! Exactly Snowball! Y-You left because you were selfish!" He insisted in rage.
"I didn't KNOW what to do in that SITUATION!!!! You left me with no other CHOICE!" Snowball growled back, yelling through his gritted teeth. He slowly calmed down as he realised how aggressive he seemed. "I don't want to talk about this right now.."
"Because you don't want everyone to know what a bad friend you were??" Lightning held his arms, looking away weakly. "..W-We don't get to choose who we LOVE, Snowball! WE thought you DIED!" He scolded afterwards, shouting at him.
"H-Holy.." Jr trailed off, Lollipop standing as soon as Lightning said this. "E-Excuse me? Lightning- what did you just say-"
"Oh..oh man." Naily looked down, Clock backing up in this situation, tense. Tennisball had no idea that this had been happening, swallowing weakly as he kept close to Golfball, who was just as shocked.
"S...Snowball, what's going on?" Basketball decided to weakly question, needing more information on this.
Snowball growled, gripping his fists together "..Lightning CONFESSED to me and I didn't know what to do!"
"So you just ran away from us?!" Fanny joined in furiously, kicking the ground. Snowball glared over at her as she got involved too. "I'm fucking sorry, okay?! Happy?!"
"No!" Lightning shrieked, hating that he was showing his anger in front of everyone. "I-Im not that dumb Snowball.. I-I know why you left! To avoid me!"
"W-Wait- h-hold on." Pen was still catching up with everything, trying to take all of this in... Lightning had confessed to Snowball?! Pen was in shock, mainly because he was in a strangely similar situation... just not in that way. Lightning had LIKED Snowball? This was so weird
"L-Lightning- how come you have never cared to mention this before?" Lollipop pondered him, wanting to hear from him. Lightning squinted at Snowball. "Because I never thought I would see him again.."
"Ughh.. why are you still upset over it?? Come on Lightning, so what, I didn't reply to you, big deal!" Snowball was bored of this, hostile and defensive.
"I'm not upset about that!!" He yelled back, but more weakly this time. "I'm upset because you left us to die! Didn't you care?!" He began to get upset the more he shouted, rubbing his eyes.
"W-Woah, .Snowball." Blocky muttered, admittedly shocked.
"I shouldn't have done that! I know, OKAY?!" He raged, his arms to his sides "But you're alive now! So just put it behind yourself!!"
"But not the REST OF OUR GROUP!!!" Fanny screamed back at him, even angrier than Lightning in this situation.
" ..L-Lightning, I'm sorry.." Pen apologised, feeling like he needed to. Lightning shook his head and rubbed his arms. "I-Its not your fault, Pen. I..It doesn't matter anyways. I'm WAY over you, Snowball. The fact you'd rather.. run away than face me says a lot about who you are. Thanks a LOT." He sniffed, his anger finally dumbing down into sadness. Snowball yelled an sound of anger. "I TOLD YOU I-"
A gunshot caught them all of guard, different screams heard from different objects all around. Woody ducked, as did Eraser and Lightning in reflex to the sound. Blocky backed up from the door, that being from where the gunshot had came from. Suddenly, it was kicked open, giving none of them a chance to react to what was happening.
"I'm BACK~!!!!" Liy boasted to them with a laugh, holding her knife to the side as it glistened in the light, Leafy and Loser joining her quickly from behind. Loser proceeded to reload his gun, causing the main reactions to spark "RUN!" Lollipop cried out, pushing a crate out of the way as another gunshot was heard, screams erupting.
"How are they already here?!" Golfball backed up quickly, not prepared for this. Nobody was prepared for this. Snowball looked around rapidly and lunged for one of the crates, picking up a bat that had been left there. He grit his teeth and proceeded to run up to Liy, swinging at her in a rage. She winced and sliced the bat with her knife, blocking it from hitting her. "Snowball? Well, what a pleasant surprise! I haven't seen you in forever!"
"You guys are so dumb for coming here." Leafy taunted, growling as she grabbed one of her knives and proceeded to swiftly throw it. Basketball squealed in terror and ducked, Tennisball doing the same thing with a short scream. Golfball was horrified, Blocky suddenly jumping in with a knife to attack her back with.
"Where the FUCK is Blackhole?!" Jr screamed out as he stayed ducked, Naily backing up and whining in fear. "Wh-Why isn't he here?!" She blurted in a panic, her legs shaking.
"Aw, wowza! Look, it's the prisoners! Tennisball and Basketball too? Woah! You guys are having a party but didn't even invite us?!" Liy laughed maniacally and swiftly sliced her knife into Snowballs direction, making him back up. He growled and went to try and hit her aftewards, her using her knife to block him off again.
Eraser was surprisingly struck with fear, stood dumbfounded as he couldn't move in the scene, overwhelmed with everything that was happening. He winced as Lollipop suddenly grabbed his arm and yanked him to the side, causing him to stumble forward as one of Leafys knives barely missed him.
Loser went to aim his gun again, this time pointing it into the direction of Fanny. Bomby yelled an incoherent sound before tackling Loser, jumping onto him in attempt to grab the gun off him. The gun was set off, firing into the air. Naily and Woody screamed at the same time, both of them filled with fear. Naily couldn't do anything, neither could Clock, Tennisball, Basketball, Golfball, Lightning, Fanny and 8-Ball, due to their lack of limbs and Lightning was strapped to Fanny. Jr was stood on one of the crates, charging up his fire blaster before firing it at Leafy, who barely avoided it "HEY! Thats not very nice, is it?!" She sneered, attempting to throw a knife at him. He winced and ducked, it going through the top of him.
"Get OFF OF ME!" Loser snarled and aggressively kicked at Bomby, who proceeded to punch Loser in the face and crack him more. Liy noticed him out of the corner of her eye, squinting. She proceeded to take a stab at Snowball, which he barely missed, but he didn't miss the kick which knocked him off his feet, him landing on the ground.
Lollipop attempted to yank one of the knives out of the wall that Leafy had thrown, yelling as she threw it back in her direction. She wasn't very good at it, but it still landed by her leg and hurt her. It took her off guard and she stumbled, making a sound of pain.
"W-We gotta get out of here!" Tennisball cried in fear, Basketball trying to stand as her legs trembled. Golfball was trying to look around to keep up to date with everything that was happening, panicked and overwhelmed. She winced as Tennisball nudged her, flinching and looking over to him in mind relief but also fear. "G-Go!"
Liy took advantage of the fact that Snowball was down, swiftly yanking Jr in her hand by his arm. He cried out in surprise and tried to bite her arm, but didn't get time too as she swung him around. He didn't realise what she had done until he was tossed to the side, skidding along the ground with a groan, tumbling into a wall. His eyes widened, tears filling them even if they hurt "BOMBY!!!" he screamed, standing with a stumble.
Bomby was pushed to the side by Loser, who was trying to find his gun after being beaten. Bomby realised what had happened, Liy had lit his fuse. He felt panic fill him, light headed as he looked around and realised everyone was in danger "EVERYONE LEAVE!! I'M GONNA EXPLODE!" He screamed to them in warning, Lollipops eyes widening as she realised what was happening.
Naily felt herself tear up "Bomby?! N-NO!-" She begged this not to be happening, wincing as she was picked up by Lollipop before she could fo anything. Jr tried to approach him, tearful. "I-I WON'T LEAVE YOU HERE-" He raged in fear but also anger, not getting to hear what he said next as Lollipop took them up in her hands, scrambling to the door.
"Guys! Get outta here!" Liy told Leafy and Loser, helping Loser up as he grabbed the gun. Golfball was terrified because she couldn't see anyone around, basically pushed out as the rush of objects trying to escape the lab blinded her, she couldn't see who was in and who wasn't.
Tennisball stumbled outside with Basketball, who was trying to get out with Snowball, who was trying to look for Pen but he was ahead. They tried to scramble as far as they could as the lab was about to explode, Blocky still trying to guide everyone out of there, standing by the door and doing a hand motion to signal everyone to leave out that exit.
"GO GO GO!!" He shouted at them all, making Eraser and Clock leave, then Lightning and Fanny. He noticed 8-ball struggling to get over because of his injury, Bomby about to explode. He didn't even get to take a step before Woody grabbed him, shoving him out of the door roughly.
"WOODY!-" Blocky cried as he landed on the ground, the two of them locking eyes before the explosion finally happened, blasting Woody out of Blockys view. Blocky winced and covered his face, the sound of the explosion leaving nothing but white noise.
"GO!! EVERYONE GO!!" Golfball yelled at all of them, urging them to leave into the forest. Basketball was looking around for Snowball, trying to call out for him but the white noise was muffling her voice for most of them. It was pouring with rain, the ground was slippery so every time someone tried to run they slipped up.
The explosion had finally caught Blackholes attention, who flew down immediately upon hearing the sound. He was devastated and horrified at the sight of what was happening, flying down "W..What is-"
Nailys sobbing cut him off, watching as Lollipop stumbled over her to rush down to where Blocky was struggling to escape, which was up the stairs of the lab entrance. She was stopped though, wincing as Liy grabbed her in attempt to fight her. "Not so fast, Lollipop!" Liy laughed.
Blackhole went to fly down to aid her, filled with rage as he was finally prepared to attack Liy and kill her once and for all. He winced as someone called his name "Blackhole!!" Someone shouted from behind, getting his attention instead.
He turned, pained at the sight of Loser, who had a gun held to Clocks head, him forced up in his hand. Loser was grinning and exhausted, looking hurt from whatever he had just been through. "You DARE intervene and Clock gets the bullet.." he snarled in threat.
Blackhole stared, horrified "A-Are you kidding me? I-" "Don't even move.. you wouldn't want to be responsible for his death now, would you?"
Blackhole was speechless, Loser keeping the gun pressed up tightly against the back of Clock, who looked horrified. It was still pounding down with rain, and it seemed to pick up.
Lightning and Fanny were struggling with the rain the most, they were unsure where most of the group was was but the majority of them were out of sight. Lightning was struggling to think straight, crying out as Leafy lunged at them. "Watch out!" He cried out to Fanny, who turned around too late.
She went to yell but was cut off before she could, being stabbed in the face multiple times by Leafys knife. Lightning screamed at the sight of it, trying to pull away and yank Fanny off Leafy but Leafy was stronger, keeping Lightning right there. "FANNY!!!" He screeched, horrified and sick of the sight of her dying before his eyes. "NO!!" He began to sob, wanting to get away as he viciously tried pulling her away.
Blocky finally dragged himself from the stairs, filled with rage and agony as white noise muffled his sense of hearing, only being able to hear a faint mix of screams and yells. He grit his teeth, watching Loser toss some rope over to Leafy, and thats where his eyes fell to.. Clock. Blocky yelled out and sprinted over to Loser, passing Blackhole and jumping at him to knock him down. Clock skid along the ground, scrambling to stand immediately "GO CLOCK!" Blocky demanded him, tearful as he didn't look back and went to run with his friend.
Loser ran off to chase them, so Blackholes attention was drawn back to Liy and Leafy, who had ripped the transmitter from Lightning. He was trying to zap them but Leafy had hold of his arms, Liy tying him up quickly. "LIY." Blackhole boomed, making his way over to her threateningly.
Liy flinched, Leafy doing the same. "Get outta here, come on!" Leafy spat at Liy, the two of them quickly rushing off into the forest with Lightning dragging behind him, squirming in pain of the raindrops but also the mental agony of having just lost his best friend. "B-BLACKHOle.. PLEASE help ME!-" Lightning pleaded in agony and tears, trying to get away from them but it was no use, they had him tied good.
"L-Lightning-!" Blackhole was terrified, attempting to chase after them and stop them from taking him. How many of their friends were dead..? He felt sick suddenly at the thought, motivated to get him back.
Clock and Blocky were running continuously, not knowing if Loser was still chasing them, but they didn't think so. Blocky panted heavily as the two took a sharp corner, running past a large pond. It thundered above, lighting the somewhat dull area up in a flash of light, lightning striking above them afterwards.
Clock winced, slipping on some of the mud by his ankle and sliding across the ground with a harsh thud, tumbling into the pond across of them. Blocky cried out his name, but by the time Clock had reacted he couldn't hear him over the water.
He gasped from the utter coldness of the water, but since he was under the water itself he was forced to inhale a large amount of icy cold liquid, making him cough and splutter. He was blinded by the waters murkiness, kicking his legs in some attempt to swim and keep afloat but alas, with his lack of arms that was much more difficult than he thought it would be.
He only got further away from the surface, squirming and yelling in the water from panic, unable to breathe. He felt the water filling him from his injury as well, flooding the inside of his face and where his cogs were. It was painful, and he could do nothing but struggle and and kick in panic and the fear of drowning. He was so scared,
gasping for air but got nothing.. it was like the deeper he went.. the darker it got, he couldn't tell if it was him or his surroundings, choking out for help.
He felt weaker, blinking slowly as he coughed and heaved. Blocky had jumped into the water, trying to swim down to get him. It took a few tries because he was made out of wood, so he wouldn't sink until he was heavy enough. He swam downwards, kicking his legs as he used all his strength. He could see him, going to reach out his hand to grab him, grasping at the plastic.
Once he was in his hand, he kicked his legs and swam upwards, which was much easier than it was for Clock. As soon as he bobbed up at the surface he gasped, pulling Clock up and helping him up onto the river bank.
Clock leaned over and threw up water, before coughing and gasping for air, trying to rid of all the water that was in this system. Tears formed in his eyes as he heaved and spluttered, on his knees. Blocky pulled himself up onto the bank, freezing cold from the water but he didn't care. He hugged Clock closely, letting him try to get back his air. After he had done so, he buried back into Blocky, beginning to sob into him.
"G-Guys! Guys- are you both okay?!" Tennisball panted breathlessly as he ran over to the group, followed by Snowball and Golfball, stopping. They didn't seem to have anyone else with them.. "..B-Blocky-" Golfball said first, stumbling over to him ahead of the others. She thought he died in the explosion.. she was overwhelmed to see him okay.
Blocky didn't reply though, rubbing Clocks back as he sobbed into him. Blocky closed his eyes, gritting his teeth as he couldn't help but begin to cry, too.
