The Wyvern had flown away from Professor Ozpin's tower and was now flying past the hijacked airship. Ruby stood at the edge of the airship's runway and watched as it flew past. A flock of Griffons followed the Wyvern and gained Ruby's attention as they flew past. The Griffons then stopped following the Wyvern and began circling the airship
A Griffon landed in front of Ruby, and she quickly jumped and slashed at it several times with Crescent Rose. Ruby pushed herself back to gain distance, but quickly charged in again. The Griffon did so as well, and they met in the middle with several more slashes. Ruby eventually came out on top, but panted heavily at the constant swinging
As the Griffon fell to the ground, Neo stood behind the body and eyed off Ruby. Neo held a scroll in her hand and aimed the camera at Ruby. Ruby felt the looming presence and looked over her shoulder to see Neo. When she did so, Neo used her Semblance to change back into her usual clothes instead of the Atlesian navy attire.
Neo then took a photo of Ruby and smirked and winked as she sent a message to Torchwick. In the command bridge, Torchwick looked down at the scroll implanted into the main controls to see Neo's message. The photo Neo had taken of Ruby showed up with the caption 'guess who?' attached to it
Torchwick: oh, you can NOT be serious
Torchwick angrily grabbed the scroll and walked out of the command bridge. Back down in Beacon's cafeteria, Blake stared through the window at Adam as he glared back. Blake began to take a few steps backwards, but Adam noticed
Adam: running away again?
Blake gave no answer and continued moving backwards
Adam: is that what you've become my love? A coward?
Blake stopped moving backwards
Blake: why are you doing this?
Adam: you and I were going to change the world, remember? We were destined to light the fires of revolution!
Adam planted his foot on a beaten and bruised Atlas soldier
Adam: consider this the spark
Blake watched as Adam unsheathed his katana and aimed it above the Atlas solider. Blake then charged in a pushed Adam back with Gambol Shroud. The two became locked in a clash, with Blake glaring into Adam's eyes that hid behind his mask
Blake: I'm not running!
Adam leaned in closer to the clash of his and Blake's blades
Adam: you will
Adam kicked Blake down and she slides back on the ground. A nearby Creep began charging at Blake, but was shot down by Adam before it could reach her
Adam: but not, before you've suffered for your betrayal, my love
The group Erza had led into battle was not fairing well either at the new reinforcements of Grimm and virus-infected Atlas tech. While most moved around to help out where they could, others became pinned down by their ever-growing number of enemies. While the group focused on taking down Griffons and Atlas robots, Weiss showed up at the scene and began attacking one of the Atlas mechs
Neptune: Weiss!
Erza tried to help Weiss out, but her attention was shifted by a group of Griffons that stopped her from reaching Weiss. Erza summoned her Black Wing armour and jumped into the air, slashing the Griffon in half as it tried to attack her. Erza pointed her blade at the other Griffons and they all screeched at her. Erza then charged in and cut them down one by one
Back on the ground, another Atlas mech punched Yatsuhashi, and he attempts to block using Fulcrum. Although he kept it at bay for a few seconds, his strength was eventually overwhelmed. The Atlas mech then turned to face Ren as his back was turned to it. Nora realised and tried to warn him
Nora: look out!
Nora ran and pushed Ren out of the way, only to be punched down by the Atlas mech
Ren: Nora, no!
Before he could move, he too was punched down by the Atlas mech. The mech then turned around to face Velvet, Coco, and Neptune. Coco began firing at the Atlas mech with Gianduja's minigun form. However, the bullets had almost no effect on the mech's armour. Neptune attempted to help but he too was having little to no effect
Neptune: uhh, this is bad
Coco stopped firing and turned to Neptune and Velvet
Coco: well, I guess now's a better time than any. Velvet!
Velvet: really!
Coco: just make them count
Velvet nodded and walked towards the Atlas mech as another one approached behind it
Play Theme
Weiss struggled as she stood up, seeing Velvet approach the mechs on her own. Weiss then turned to Coco as she stood there and watched
Weiss: what are you doing? She's going to get hurt!
Coco: just watch
Velvet stopped in front of the two mechs and held her hand out to her side. A hard-light hologram began to form and took the shape of Crescent Rose. One of the Atlas mechs charged an electric shot and fired at Velvet. However, she had all the time in the world to react and jumped into the air. While in the air, Velvet mimicked what Ruby would usually do by holding Crescent Rose behind her back as she reached the peak of her jump
Velvet fell back down to the ground and sliced through the armour of the first Atlas mech. When she landed, the hologram of Crescent Rose faded, and Weiss' Myrtenaster began to form in her other hand. The Atlas mech tried to swing at her, but Velvet reflected it with the copy of Myrtenaster. The Atlas mech stumbled back, and Velvet gained more distance between them
Velvet then copied Weiss' stance she would take before charging in and closed the gap. Velvet delivered three quick strikes to the body of the Atlas mech, moving up in the air as she did so. Velvet then changed into using copies of Ember Celica and punched the Atlas mech down. The Atlas mech stumbled back as Velvet landed and she re-cocked the chambers to the Ember Celica copies
Velvet fired three shots which had little effect. The Atlas mech swung again, but Velvet dodged it again. Velvet then quickly changed in a copy of Gambol Shroud and stuck to the mech's arm. Velvet swung herself around the mech's legs several times, then pulled the hard-light hologram cloth together. The mech couldn't keep its balance and fell on its side
The other mech approached Velvet from behind and swung at her. Velvet reacted in time and sliced the hand off. Velvet then through the hologram sheath of Gambol Shroud and it stuck into the cockpit of the mech. Velvet quickly changed into a copy of Gianduja and fired rapidly at the mech. The mech wasn't affected much and followed through with another swing
Velvet, in response, changed into a copy of Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang in staff form. Velvet knocked away the punch and ran across the arm hitting it several times along the way. Velvet then jumped and the hologram shifted into Magnhild in hammer form. Velvet slammed the copy of Magnhild into the mech as she landed. The arm then fell off and the first mech began to stand up again
Velvet held her arms out to her side and a copy of Penny's backpack appeared. From the backpack, several copies of Penny's swords appeared. Velvet backflipped off the mech and landed on the ground. She then sliced both of the second mech's legs clean off. Velvet then collected the blades in front of her and began charging an energy shot. The energy shot hit the broken mech dead on and destroyed it
Before Velvet could recover the first mech punched Velvet back and she lost her photograph case, causing the copy to disappear
Coco: Velvet!
Coco began to fire at the mech, still having little effect. Velvet managed to recover and recollect her photography case. She then activated it again and hologram copies of Gajeel's metal piercings showed up on her face. Velvet then through her arm forward and a hard-light version of Gajeel's iron club extended into the mech's back
The mech stumbled forward a few steps and Neptune and Nadir ran next to Coco to begin firing as well. The mech paid no attention to the three's efforts and focused completely on Velvet again. Velvet changed the hologram into copies of flames and collected it into her hands. Velvet ran and jumped at the mech, raising both her hands above her head, and slamming it down on the mech
The mech stumbled back more and part of its left leg took damage form the impact. Velvet then jumped back and collected to wind copy orbs in her hands. The copies spread over her body, and she began to move quicker. Velvet kept this activated and created a copy of Foom. Velvet then shot several arrows at the mech's joints which restricted its movements
Behind Coco, Nadir, and Neptune, Weiss watched the efforts of her friends despite them knowing what they were doing had little effect. Angry at her failure to help out, Weiss clenched Myrtenaster tightly as she gritted her teeth. Weiss then charged in, creating glyphs beneath her to move quickly. Weiss moved past Coco, Nadir, and Neptune and they stopped firing
Weiss continued to move to get behind the mech as it transformed its hand into a gun and shot the ground in front of Velvet. Weiss could see the holograms disappear and the mech moving into attack Velvet while she couldn't see because of the dust created. Weiss then became determined to get there before Velvet was struck again and a glyph, different from her normal ones, appeared behind her head. The glyph had swords attached to it that spun in unison with the inner circle
Weiss realised and looked back at it, shocked at its seemingly random appearance but decided to work with it. Weiss ran in front of Velvet and held Myrtenaster up in front of her to guard both her and Velvet. As the mech threw its arm down at Weiss, she braced for impact only to find that there was none. Instead, only the sound of the mech's arm being stopped in its tracks
Weiss opened one eye, then both and looked up to see what happened. An armoured arm had appeared through the new glyph and with it a large sword that kept the mech's arm at bay. The summoned arm guided the mech's arm to the ground, then raised the sword and sliced the mech down the middle. The mech's now two halves slid apart and crashed onto the ground
Weiss looked up at the armoured arm which became idle at her side. A sudden flash and the sound of a camera shutter gained her attention. When Weiss looked in front of her, she saw Velvet holding her camera with a smile on her face. Erza lands back on the ground and walks next to Coco and the others
End theme
Before everyone could begin to celebrate, another Atlas mech ran to the courtyard entrance and stopped to face them. The group all stared at the mech with blank faces until Sun spoke up. Sun threw his head back to then slump his shoulders down.
Sun: you have got to be kidding me
Back up at the hijacked airship, Ruby was locked in combat with Neo. Ruby swung Crescent Rose to slash at Neo several times, but each time Neo would dodge with ease. The two continued like this until Neo gained distance between them and Ruby planted Crescent Rose into the ground
Ruby then fired a round at Neo, only for her to shatter in glass-like shards. Behind where Neo was, Torchwick had his cane readied and fired at Ruby. The round hit her dead on, and Ruby was knocked back. She hooked Crescent Rose into the ground to stop her momentum but couldn't get on her feet in time
Torchwick walked over to Ruby and paced his cane on the floor next to her head. Ruby looked up at Torchwick to see his glaring eyes
Torchwick: Little Red, Little Red... you are just determined to be the hero of Vale, aren't ya?
Ruby: what are you doing? Without these ships, the Grimm will destroy everything!
Torchwick spun his cane in his hand and aimed it at Ruby
Torchwick: that's the plan!
Before Torchwick could fire, Ruby lifted her arm and pushed the barrel aside. Torchwick's balance was thrown off and he stumbles to the side. As Ruby got up, however, Neo ran and rolled across her back to kick her back down. Neo continued to move around and tried to kick Ruby again. Ruby had recovered in time and managed to block with Crescent Rose
However, Neo followed up with a second kick that Ruby wasn't ready for. This kick sent Ruby stumbling almost off the edge. A Griffon tried to swoop her, but Ruby stepped back to avoid it and found herself staring at Torchwick and Neo. Ruby was still determined to find a clear answer and continued to question them
Ruby: but why?! What do you get out of it?!
Torchwick: you're asking the wrong questions, Red. It's not what I have to gain. It's that I can't afford to lose!
Ruby raised Crescent Rose and charged at them. Torchwick and Neo were ready, and Torchwick bent his back for Neo to jump over him and kick Ruby. She recovered and tried again, only for Neo to kick Crescent Rose up. As she landed, she hooked Crescent Rose with the bottom of Husk's handle. Neo then slid between Ruby's legs and flipped her
Ruby lost grip on Crescent Rose, and it flew out of her reach. Ruby herself was flipped into the air and before she landed, Neo kicked her towards Torchwick. He then threw his cane into the floor in front of him and it bounced and hit Ruby. Torchwick caught his cane and aimed it over his shoulder to fire. The shot hit Ruby dead on, and she barely grabbed Crescent Rose before falling off the side
Ruby looked beneath her to see the surrounding Griffons, and a drop she didn't want to experience. Ruby looked up in shock as Torchwick slowly walked over to Ruby
Torchwick: I may be a gambling man, but even I know there's some bets you just don't take
Neo pressed a button on Husk and the blade extended out the tip of the parasol. Neo then dragged the blade across the floor as she approached Ruby. Neo aimed it at Ruby's head as she looked back into Neo's eyes
Torchwick: like it or not. The people who hired me are going to change the world
A Griffon landed on the side of the airship under Ruby, and she quickly kicked it away
Torchwick: you can't stop 'em. I can't stop 'em!
Ruby quickly looked for a way out and saw her ticket. Just within reach was the button to open Husk. She only needed to reach it before Neo could react
Torchwick: you know the old saying. If you can't beat 'em...
Before Torchwick continued, Ruby pulled herself up and pressed her target button. Husk opened and the wind instantly moved it to the side. Neo was then pulled off the airship and into the flock of Griffons
Torchwick: NEO!
Ruby continued to pull herself up and back onto the airship
Ruby: I don't care what you say! We will stop them, and I will stop you! BET ON THAT!
Ruby used her Semblance to rush towards Torchwick. In response, he fired a round from his cane and quickly hooked it before it was out of his reach. He then threw it, and it acted as an air slash that sent Ruby back. before she could recover, Torchwick smacked Ruby's jaw and then fired point blank at her stomach. Ruby was sent back and slides on the ground as Torchwick approaches
Torchwick: ya got spirit, Red. But this is the real world!
Torchwick smacked Ruby further back
Torchwick: the real world is cold!
Torchwick raised his cane and hit Ruby again. In response, Ruby curled herself into a ball to protect herself as much as possible
Torchwick: the real world doesn't care about spirit!
Torchwick raised his cane again, and Ruby kicked his shin before he could swing. Torchwick jumped back and Ruby stood up again
Torchwick: you wanna be a hero? Then play the part and die like every other Huntsmen in history!
Torchwick swung his cane at Ruby, and it knocked her down once again
Torchwick: as for me, I'll do what I do best. Lie. Steal. Cheat! And survive!
As Torchwick raised his cane to strike again, a Griffon landed behind him and swallowed him whole. The Griffon then stood on its back legs and roared before landing back on its front two. The Griffon roared again and moved its wings to create a small gust that sent Ruby back. Just after she stopped moving, Ruby yelled and charged in
The Griffon did the same, but Ruby jumped and kicked the back of its head. The Griffon stumbled forward and crashed into the ground. An explosion then occurred which killed the Griffon. Rumbling began to occur on the airship, and it began to plumet down to the ground. Ruby managed to keep her balance, and eyed off Crescent Rose which was still stuck in the side of the airship
Ruby ran towards it as more parts of the airship began to explode around her. Ruby then jumped at Crescent Rose and in turn, fell off the side of the airship. Ruby then waited a bit before firing at the ground to break her momentum and land safely on a building. Ruby looked up to see the airship nearing the ground and only hoped that Grimm were in the crash zone
Over in the streets, Professor Goodwitch continued to take down Creeps and other types of Grimm. While Qrow focused on destroying the infected Atlas robots. A little distance away, Cardin smirked as he smacked the head of an Ursa which killed it. His smile quickly faded when corrupted Atlas robots aimed their guns at him. Cardin looked at both the Atlas robots in shock
Before either Atlas robot could shoot, both of their heads were shot off by Ironwood. Ironwood walked out of a collection of dust, revealing that most of his clothing had been ripped. Almost the entire right side of Ironwood's torso was replaced with Atlas prosthetics, including parts of his right leg.
Ironwood casually walked into a group of corrupted Atlas soldiers and shot at all of them without hesitating. The entire group were easily taken down with a few shots. When only one remained without a weapon and tried to punch him. Ironwood spun the pistol in his hand and smacked the Atlas robot down. Ironwood then turned to Qrow and Professor Goodwitch who had seen the whole thing
Ironwood: this area is secure. We need to...
Qrow gritted his teeth and transformed his sword into its scythe form. Qrow then planted it into the ground in front of him. Ironwood took a step back in shock
Ironwood: Qrow! This isn't my doing!
Qrow dragged his scythe across the ground as he ran at Ironwood. Getting ready for a fight, Ironwood gently threw his pistol in the air to grab its barrel. Qrow then jumped into the air but went past Ironwood to his surprise. Ironwood turned around to see a Griffon about to swoop him. Qrow's jump lets him get to the Griffon first and he slices it in half from its head
The two halves land next to Ironwood as Qrow lands as he stands back up
Qrow: hmph. You idiot
Qrow turned around to look at Ironwood
Qrow: I know you didn't do this
Ironwood placed a hand to his head as Professor Goodwitch walked up behind him
Qrow: so, what now general?
Ironwood placed both hands behind his back
Ironwood: someone's done the impossible and gained the control of my machines. And that enormous Grimm seems to be fixated on the school. Glynda! Form up with the local Huntsmen and establish a safe zone here in Vale. Find Erza, she'll help you evacuate Beacon. Qrow, I'm leaving that to you and my men. I still need to get to my ship
Loud engines gain their attention, and they look up to see the airship still exploding as it crashes into the ground. Qrow scratches his head then looks at Ironwood
Qrow: well, it won't be much of a walk
Qrow gives a small smile, but it quickly fades when dismantled Atlas robots reactivate and crawl towards them. Back over with Erza's group, they all readied themselves for the Atlas mech that was charging at them. Erza readied her sword and charged to meet with the Atlas mech, only for electricity to spark from it and it fall to the ground. Erza stops herself and examines the Atlas mech
Sun: hmm. That went better than expected
In the distance, Yang's voice could be heard
Yang: Weiss!
Yang ran next to Weiss as she leaned on Myrtenaster for support
Yang: you're okay! Have you heard from Ruby?
Weiss shook her head
Yang: what about Blake?
Weiss pointed in the direction of the Beacon cafeteria
Weiss: she went after an Alpha and some members of the White Fang
Yang: you look for Ruby, I'll meet up with Blake
Erza: where's Dakkon? wasn't he with you?
Yang: he was, but he saw someone called Acnologia. He then told me to run while he distracted him. I hope he's escaped and is finding his way back to us
Before Erza or Yang could say anything more. The distant sounds of concrete shattering and breaking in a direct line to the Beacon Cafeteria gained all of their attention
Yang: that better not be who I think it is
Erza: its best if we go together. Natsu, Gajeel, Wendy, you come along too. If it really is Acnologia then we'll need Dragon Slayers
Yang nods and runs off with Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy. Erza turns to Weiss and the others before leaving
Erza: spread out and protect anyone you find. Kill any Grimm you see. If you find a Huntsmen follow their orders
Erza ran off to follow the others and Weiss gave a thumbs up while still leaning against Myrtenaster. In Professor Ozpin's tower, the elevator doors open to the basement and Professor Ozpin, Jaune, and Pyrrha all run out
Jaune: what is this place?
Pyrrha: its... a type of vault
Jaune: you've... been here before?
Pyrrha didn't answer and continued running
Jaune: what would this school need to... hide?
Jaune then stopped in his tracks at the sight of a large piece of technology with two capsule-like pods on either side
Jaune: what? Who?
Professor Ozpin began operating the controls, while Pyrrha turned to Jaune
Pyrrha: Jaune...
Ozpin: Pyrrha! Get to the pods!
Pyrrha looked at Jaune with worry in her eyes, she then ran towards the empty pod as instructed
Ozpin: Mister Arc, if you would like to help, you can stand guard here
Jaune wasted no time and turned around, readying his sword and shield. Professor Ozpin moved to another console and began pressing several buttons
Pyrrha: what do we do now?
Professor Ozpin sighs in response
Ozpin: we... do nothing
The chamber of the empty pod opens up
Ozpin: you, Miss Nikos... have a choice to make
Pyrrha looked at the open pod, then back to Jaune, wondering if she would be the same person exiting the pod on the other side. Tears filled her eyes, and she wiped them away before doing what she knew she had to do. Pyrrha entered the pod and leaned back as the chamber closed. Over in Beacon's cafeteria, things were reaching its lowest
Adam: this could have been our day! Can't you see that?!
Blake: I never wanted this! I wanted equality! I wanted peace!
Blake transformed Gambol Shroud and fired two rounds at Adam. Adam partially unsheathed his sword and blocked the shots. Both his hair, and the sword began to glow red
Adam: what you want is impossible!
Adam fully sheaths his sword again and slaps Blake, causing her to fall onto her side again. The walls next to them break and Dakkon crashes onto the ground. Acnologia walks through the broken wall and grabs his leg to throw him through the windows. Dakkon crashes through the already broken windows and Acnologia follows him
Adam refocuses his attention to Blake, with an even more sinister smile on his face
Adam: but I understand. Because all I want... is you, Blake
Blake tries to raise Gambol Shroud, but Adam kicks it out of her hand
Adam: and as I set out upon this world and deliver the justice mankind so greatly deserves... I will make it my mission to destroy everything you love
Adam grabs Blake by the throat and throws her down behind him. Adam then kneels on her back and raises her head by her hair to look at Dakkon
Adam: I suppose I should start with making you watch one of your friends die
Outside, Acnologia held Dakkon in the air by the throat. Dakkon was slowly losing air and as he looked to his side to see Blake. A small bit of anger rose in him, giving him the will to kick Acnologia's side. Unfortunately, with the damage he had taken, it did nothing. Acnologia brough him closer to his face and looked into Dakkon's eyes
Acnologia then began slowly loosening his grip on Dakkon's neck. Adam realised what was happening and his sinister smile began to fade. Before he could say anything, Erza jumped in and slashed at Acnologia's arm. Dakkon fell to the ground and as Natsu and Gajeel helped Erza fight off Acnologia, Wendy began to use her magic to heal Dakkon
Dakkon was barely holding on, but hearing Yang's distant voice gave him more will to continue
Yang: Blake! Dakkon!
Outside the cafeteria window on the other side, Yang fired Ember Celica at a White Fang soldier and he fell to the ground
Yang: Blake! Dakkon!
Yang turned to the direction that Erza and the others had rushed off to and saw Blake and Adam in the building. Adam looked down to see the horror in Blake's eyes when she saw Yang and he regained his sinister smile
Adam: or maybe... I should start with her
Down in the school vault, rumbling had caused Professor Ozpin to look away from his console. Concerned he then turned back around and finished setting up the controls
Ozpin: are you ready?
Pyrrha turned to head inside the pod and nodded at Professor Ozpin, who began to hesitate
Ozpin: I... I need to hear you say it
Pyrrha: yes
Pyrrha's muffled voice was barely heard by Professor Ozpin. He then showed a small smile, knowing that she was fully willing to go through with her decision
Ozpin: thank you Miss Nikos
Professor Ozpin pressed a few more buttons on the controls and Amber's pod angled up vertically. Amber's aura began to glow, and the glowing continued through the wires connected to the pod. The glow then travelled through into the back of Pyrrha's pod, and her aura began glowing the same colour. Pyrrha began to scream in agony which instantly gained Jaune's attention
Jaune: Pyrrha!
Jaune ran over to the pod and watched as Pyrrha continued to react in pain at the process
Ozpin: I'm... so sorry
Amber herself didn't have much of a reaction. Her eyelids merely rapidly opened halfway only to close again. Until a sudden shock caused her eyes to open fully. The shock of an arrow piercing her chest. Her eyelids began to close fully, and the machine began to beep, warning of a system failure. When Jaune and Professor Ozpin turned around, they saw Cinder with her bow drawn
Cinder then lowered her bow and smiled evilly at the two. Back in Beacon's cafeteria, Natsu, Gajeel and Erza struggled to hold back Acnologia's strength while Wendy was still healing Dakkon. Anytime one of the three would attempt a strike, it would either have no effect, or they would be swatted away. Yet they continued, knowing that all they had to do was distract him for Wendy to heal Dakkon
Inside the cafeteria, Adam's initial plan had changed. Instead of getting Blake to watch Dakkon suffer, he would make her watch Yang suffer. Adam stabbed Blake's stomach in a spot that wouldn't kill her. Blake's screaming of agony gained Yang's attention. Yang stared through the window at Adam as he pulled his katana out of her body. Rage began to fill Yang
Yang: get away from her!
Blake held out her hand to try and warn Yang, but didn't have the energy necessary
Blake: no... please...
Adam sheathed his katana, ready for Yang's next move. Yang's rage burst out, her hair lit up and her eyes turned red. Her screams of anger reached Dakkon, and he turned his head to see the next events. Yang fired Ember Celica behind her and jumped at Adam. However, Yang's rage made her next move predictable, and Adam sliced her right arm off before she landed a hit
Dakkon's eyes widened at the sight and the world around him turned red. The figures of Adam, Yang and Blake all faded to black, including Wendy and the others. Dakkon rolled onto his side, consumed by disbelief
Wendy: what are you doing?
Wendy's voice was mere mumbling to the ringing in Dakkon's ears. Wendy looked to where Dakkon was fixated on, and saw the horror
Wendy: oh... no
Wendy covered her mouth with her hands, and Dakkon stood up with what little strength he had left. Yang fell to the ground, unconscious as Dakkon crawled through the broken windows
Dakkon: YANG!
Down in the vault, Amber's life had faded from her, and the glowing aura faded from Pyrrha. The glow began tracing back to Amber's pod through the wires. Then the aura shot out from Amber's pod and connected with Cinder. Her eyes began to overflow with power, and she rose from the ground.
Jaune, in his anger, charged at Cinder with his sword raised. While Pyrrha slammed her fists against the pod's glass
Ozpin: stay back!
Before Jaune's strike could connect, Cinder's power exploded for a split second, which sent Jaune back to Professor Ozpin's feet. Pyrrha continued to hit the glass on the pod, able to do nothing until she was released
Pyrrha: Jaune!
Pyrrha activated her Semblance and detached the pod's door from its hinges. The door flew off and Cinder knocked it away with ease. Pyrrha collected her weapons and tried to fight Cinder, but was stopped by Professor Ozpin
Ozpin: take Jaune and get out of here! Find Glynda! Ironwood! Qrow! Bring them here right away! The tower cannot fall!
Pyrrha: but, I can help
Professor Ozpin looked over his shoulder and into Pyrrha's eyes with nothing but a serious look on his face
Ozpin: you'll only get in the way
Pyrrha looked down then ran next to Jaune and helped him up. The two then ran past Cinder as she watched the whole thing. Cinder knew she didn't need to bother with them and let them go. The power faded from Cinder's body, and she turned back to Professor Ozpin with a devilish grin. Back in Beacon's cafeteria, Adam slowly walked towards Yang's body to finish her off
Dakkon managed to push through his devastating pain, trying to reach Yang before he did. Adam then swung his blade at the air to throw Yang's blood off it. Blake threw herself in between them and Adam stopped
Adam: why must you hurt me, Blake?
Blake glared into Adam's eyes as he raised his katana. Dakkon, using most of his strength, raised his hand and fired an energy blast into Adam's shoulder and he turned around. When Adam turned back, Blake faded away and Adam looked behind him again. He then saw Blake, carrying Yang with her, running past Dakkon
Since Dakkon was unable to see the damage at first, an anger began to spark when he saw how much of her arm Yang had lost. Adam began walking towards Dakkon, laughing at his state
Adam: you think you can beat me like that?
Dakkon said nothing, still looking in the spot where he saw the damage done to Yang. A Creep jumped at Adam, and he sliced it down with ease. He still waited on an answer from Dakkon, but only heard the grinding of his teeth as his anger grew. Back at the vault Cinder and Professor Ozpin were in a standoff as Cinder decided to begin small chatter
Cinder: this whole time, right beneath our feet. she was right about you...
Professor Ozpin lightly threw his cane in the air and grabbed it by the handle like a sword
Cinder: such arrogance
Professor Ozpin said nothing in return, and instead only glared at her
