Apollo's pov
I tapped my foot anxiously as I sat on the toilet. I finished five minutes ago but I was too scared to look. What if I'm- No! I slapped both my cheeks. Stop sitting around like a scared bunny. You just have to do it!
I stood up and reached down for the stick. I willed myself to look at it.
"No that can't be right" I blinked one time, two times, three, trying to get the tears out of my eyes. It must be a mistake. A trick of the light. I stared at the stick, willing that extra line to disappear but it didn't.
It stayed there. Mocking me.
I slid against the wall, trying hard not to cry. I'm such an idiot, what was I thinking. That's it, my career is over, no my whole life is over! I can never come back from this.
"Polly are you ok?" trucy knocked on the door, her voice laced with concern "you've been in there a while"
"I'm fine!" I yelled despite feeling anything but.
"Polly you don't sound fine-"
"I'm fine!" I snapped "just please leave me alone"
"Ok" her hurt voice prickled me with guilt "if you need me I'll just be outside" with that she left.
I bang my head softly against the wall. What a mess. How did I get into this situation? Like I even have to ask. It's all that Gavin's fault. As if my life wasn't complicated enough.
I couldn't help but think back to when it all went wrong..
