[From the start, Y/n had always been aware of her love for Dolores. It was undeniable with how much she adored her; she always noticed the little things about her. From how beautiful and round her eyes are, how curly her hair is and how it moves when the wind blows, and how she usually spoke in a whisper, soothing and gentle. Y/n never took a single moment with her for granted, especially when she thought the girl was in love with another. Being in love with someone who could hear everything meant she had to hide it well. Y/n had learned to control her heartbeat around her and stop herself from showing any signs of being flustered, such as her breath catching. But the more her feelings matured, the easier it came to her. In fact, it just became second nature to her now.
DOLORES
And if you just heard the way he proposed to her.
[Dolores speaks with a loving tone, intertwining her fingers as she remembers what she heard. Y/n smiles as she rolls her eyes at her]
Y/N
Such a hopeless romantic.
[She teased. Dolores was always one to dream about the man of her dreams professing his love to her. She wouldn't even hold back as she told Y/n about her dream wedding, and how many kids she'd want. She holds her hand as she kneels, looking up at her with her beautiful doe eyes while she bats her eyelashes]
DOLORES
I never thought I'd find such a love so beautiful. And I don't ever want to lose what we have, so will you give me yours forever? Be my wife, Amor...
[She says then squeals quietly, pulling Y/n into her arms as she spins her]
Y/N
I do. [She says when Dolores comes to stop, looking into her eyes with a playful grin sitting on her lips. Y/n pushes her left hand closer to the girl, her other hand on her hip as she raises an eyebrow] Now where's my ring?
[Dolores laughs and moves away, grabbing a piece of paper from the pile sitting on her desk before getting seated. As Y/n moved closer to watch her, she abruptly stands up. Holding Y/n by the shoulders, she pushes her until the back of her knees hit her bed, making her sit down]
DOLORES
No peeking. [Y/n let out a snort as Dolores had her back to her, watching her with an amused smile. After waiting in silence for a few minutes, she stands up, walking towards the other girl with a paper heart ring in her hand. Taking care of Antonio had its perks, the kid liked doing several things, arts and crafts were one of them] Tada! I've had some practice. I hope this will do for now, Hermosa.
[She says then takes Y/n's left hand in hers, slipping the ring into her finger. Unable to stop a smile from forming on her face, Y/n wipes an invisible tear]
Y/N
Don't worry Dol, I'd marry you with paper rings.
[This kind of playful banter was frequent between the two of them. To Y/n, it always filled her with joy but assumed it didn't mean anything to Dolores, so she wasn't aware that Dolores would always be flustered with conversations like these. Y/n didn't know how much longer she could keep up the cycle. Just like her, she wanted to fall in love with someone who could return her love. It just hurts to watch her 'fawn' over a man who was already taken. She deserved proper love, one that didn't need to be questioned. Dolores deserved the world. But a part of her also knew she couldn't stop loving her. The only person Y/n's heart had called for was Dolores]

[Dolores had to stop herself from daydreaming, it was almost becoming too much for her. Every word that left her loves mouth made her fall deeper in love. She wanted to just hold onto the girl forever and give her anything she wanted, but even with her gift, Y/n never gave any signs that she liked her back. So, she pretended to like a random man in the village]
DOLORES
Oh wow. That- [She clears her throat as she looks away] -that was so cute.
[She mumbled as she turns around. Y/n look at her in confusion, thinking it was something new that she randomly heard]
Y/N
Did you hear R/n say something sweet or poetic again?
[Dolores sighs as she turns to her, her lips pursed with her hands on her waist]
DOLORES
No you idiot, I meant what you said about the paper rings. [She smiles and then nods eagerly] Now I have a new favourite for proposal lines.
Y/N
[Scoffing playfully] What are you talking about? You already proposed to me, you have a fiancé now. [She says as she winks at her playfully, making Dolores shove her with a smile] You gave me a ring to prove it!
DOLORES
Maybe in a million years
Y/N
Maybe I'm willing to wait a million years.
[Dolores shoves her head into Y/n's neck, hiding her flustered expression, as Y/n laughs. And due to Dolores' room being sound-proof, neither of them heard the giggles outside the door]

[Isabela and Mirabel gathered the entire Madrigal family, apart from Dolores, to discuss a plan to get a new member of their family]
ALMA
Isabela, Mirabel, why did you call us? And where is Dolores?
ISABELA
She's in her room, and we are here to get her with the one she likes!
PEPA
Mi hija likes someone? [Rainbows appear] Who is it?!
MIRABEL
Y/n. Now what's the plan?
ALMA
Y/n? The girl that Dolores is always with? Well, she is a kind, responseable girl. She'll be a great addition to the family!
ISABELA
Yes, yes she will. But it won't happen if we do nothing about it, they will never confess on their own...
JULIETA
Alright, calm down, what's the plan?
[Isabela and Mirabel turn to each other and smile mishceviously]

[A few days later, Y/n was walking around town with a basket full of books and a few random other things she had bought. Her journey to nowhere was stopped though, as Antonio ran up to her and hugged her legs, with a couple of birds landing on her arms and head too]
Y/N
Hola, Antonio. What can I do for you today?
ANTONIO
Can you come over again? I wanna play with you!
Y/N
Of course, just let me put my stuff away. I'll be there in a little while, how about you go set up your toys? So you don't get bored while waiting.
[Antonio nods and runs away, giggling. He hides behind a building, watching Y/n walk away. Once she's out of sight, he sends one of his birds to Camilo, who proceeds to get Dolores and distract her, making sure she doesn't hear your footsteps or the family muttering. She was getting suspicious, but she assumed he was just trying to annoy her into hanging out with him. Meanwhile, Pepa and Felix were trying to find the saddest book they had, Julieta was making Y/n's favourite food, Alma and Luisa were talking to a few townspeople, so they didn't distract Y/n and getting them to tell other people. Mariano and Isabela were setting up a few things to trap their victims. Agustín and Mirabel were decorating a room with Casita's help.]

[Y/n walked towards the magical house, taking notice that there was barely anyone despite it being crowded less that ten minutes ago, and the people that were there were smiling at her more than usual. She was weirded out. But she continued her walk, when it started raining half-way, so she ran. Eventually making it to her destination, Casita immediately opened the doors for her. Dolores heard her speak and quickly walked to the front door, ignoring Camilo, and hugged Y/n. Before she could move away though, a vine was wrapped around the two, trapping them in each others hold]
Y/N
A vine? Isabela? What are you doing?
[She simply smirked at the girls and walked away]
DOLORES
I am very sorry about her, and the rest of my family. They are acting weird today.
Y/N
It's fine, at least I can hold you more.
[Dolores squeaks and shoves her head into her shoulder while Y/n smiles. Isabela and Mirabel peek out from behind a corner, shushing each other. Isabela raises her hand and the vine lifted Dolores' head up, pushing her face towards Y/ns, and their lips met. The two high-fived and ran away, leaving the flustered girls. They were staring at each other with wide eyes, blushing/with a flustered expression. Y/n was quick to pull away when a large piece of glowing green glass slid over to them, showing the two in wedding attire]

I-I am so sorry! I-
[She was cut off when their lips were pressed together again, before recrocating the kiss, somehow getting her arm out of the vine and holding her cheek. The family came out of no where and cheered, alongside a few townspeople]
