(Grian's POV)
After knocking them out, I panicked. This wasn't part of the plan! I needed to run, and now, so I picked Y/N up bridal style and began booking it. Luckily, the plan worked out and we did manage to get back to Hermitcraft. X went into his weird... admin thingy. I didn't really understand it. But, no Watchers could get in Hermitcraft, and as for me I was an exception.
Y/N did try to stab me, so for safety I put them in a cell. However, I made sure it was clean and cozy just for them. It was the least I could do, after all. I decided to make the most of them being asleep for now, and went over to their figure.
Gently, I scooped them up in my arms and pulled them into my chest, cuddling them while I could. My wings wrapped protectively around them, keeping them close to my heart. Whatever happened, I still love them. I kissed their forehead and reluctantly put them down, going to leave.
Right as I was about to walk away from the cell, I heard a quiet groaning sound. I quickly turned towards it and found Y/N had woken up. "Y/N! Your awake! Hopefully you feel better, you were a little crazy before-"
"Who's Y/N?"
I froze. What?! "Uh, y-you, your Y/N..." I said, confused. They turned to look at me, puzzled, but then saw who I was. "You." They growled, venom shooting from their words. "Why am I here?! Bring me back to my lords! I need them, I need to serve them...! BRING ME BACK!" Before I could respond they went on and on about how they needed to 'serve the Watchers'.
What did those... Those evil manipulative monsters do to them?! I'm gonna kill the Watchers I swear...
Once Y/N finally let me speak, I attempted to explain what really happened, but they wouldn't listen. They said I was a liar. They suddenly lunged towards me, grabbing at me through the cell bars. They held me by my shirt, going to punch me in the face. I hesitantly pushed them back with my wings and hit them with a shovel, knocking them out. I panted, looking at their unconscious body.
I'd better get them to Stress, maybe she can see what's wrong...
I scooped them up in my arms and took off to Stress's base. Once I arrived at the jungle fantasy land, I called out for the Hermit I needed, and soon enough I saw her land in front of me. "Oh, hello Grian!" She said sweetly. "Hi Stress..." I greeted in a tired voice. She looked confused for a second but then looked down and saw what -or who- I was holding.
"Oh... Are they still not acting normal?" She asked. I simply nodded to confirm her statement. "I was wondering if you could use some of your potions to see what may be wrong." I said. She hummed for a minute. "A mix of strength and invisibility should work..." She muttered. "Okay! I think I can help."
I smiled gratefully. "Thank you..." I said, passing her the unconscious Y/N. "I'll come back to you in about 2 hours I think." She stated. I smiled and agreed. "I'll see you then, I owe you Stress."
(Timeskip cause I'm lazy)
After about two hours had passed I flew gracefully back to Stress's base to see if she was done. Right I was half way there she messaged me saying it was done, so I felt slightly smug about guessing it.
Once I arrived at the (Still very impressive) structure, I found Stress waiting for me on top of a tree and twisted to go to her. I abruptly landed in front of her, causing her to jump and me to giggle evilly.
I gave her a questioning look and she sighed, beginning to explain.
"So, from what it looks like, all of Y/N's memories of Hermitcraft have been... erased. Same with their personal knowledge. In their mind, they are Emerald, a knight and servant to the Watchers. They see those... unpleasant things as their saviours. It looks like things from before Hermitcraft may be mildly familiar to them, like a pet or a item they had way before they joined. So unless you have access to anything like that... I-I'm afraid they'll stay this was. They are aggressive towards us as of now. They woke up while I was brewing and tried to attack me. I gave them a potion which will keep them asleep for the next 5 hours. I'm sorry Grian."
Oh. O-oh. Wait.. They might... No. Nonononononono. They WILL go back to normal! They- they have to..! I- Yeah! This is just a prank- or dream! I'll wake up with them in my arms, smiling at me! This isn't real, I will wake up and everything will be okay!
Until then just gotta get through this nightmare.
"I- Thank you Stress. I really do appreciate it. Have a nice d-day." I said, taking Y/N from her and turning away. I saw her give me a sympathetic smile as I blasted off, soaring through the sky. I purposely held Y/N closer then I had to, I just needed to feel them against me.
I landed back at the cell, gently setting them on the bed.
They look so peaceful... So comfy...
I couldn't help it. I crawled in next to them and buried their head in my chest, tightly holding them. They were warm like a item left out in the sun, not too hot but still emitting a comforting glow. My wings rubbed against their back, letting the soft feathers brush against them. I know they weren't in the best of mind right now, but they were still themselves while asleep. They were too cute to not cuddle.
I booped their nose playfully, stroking through their soft H/C hair (Rubbing their smooth scalp if you are bald or wear hijab). I could've done this for hours but unfortunately I needed to get to bed so I could work on my mansion tomorrow.
"Goodnight N/N... I hope you'll feel better soon..."
1012 words! An update was demanded of me, and now I have delivered. Lol Grian's legit going through the five stages of grief- ANYWAYS. Ya'll are amazing, and if you say otherwise then shut up and give yourself the love you deserve. Stay strong and goodbye!
