The Doctor set up the radio and waited until she knew the Germans were listening in. She looked at you before taking a breath. She tapped out four beats and waited. Then another four and waited again. "That's not a code." Noor called shaking her head.

"Not to you." The Doctor replied. "If this works I'm gonna need you to find something for me. This is a very personal code."

"The four beats of a time lord's hearts." You muttered and she glanced at you. She paused for a moment and there. Suddenly came a reply. She did it twice more and smiled when he replied.

"That got his attention." She smirked as she felt around for him psychically. "He's not so far, I can sense him. She closed her eyes and reached out to him. 'Contact.' She called in her mind, trying to establish a psychic link. Very similar to the one she was trying to establish with you all night.

'Contact.' Came a reply and she smirked again. 'Old school.'

"You're not the only one who can do classic." The Doctor muttered.

'So how are you holding up without a Tardis or your friends or a hope? A fugitive in time.'

"All right." She said growing slightly annoyed. She wasn't alone she had you, and if she was honest as long as she had that she could bare being alone and stranded without a Tardis. "You've come all this way. You've got me cornered. I'll meet you. No troops." She frowned. "No soldiers. Just us."

'Where?'

"Where do you think?" Their bond was temporarily interrupted by another. It was barely noticeable, but it appears she wasn't the first to establish a form of bond with him. How could he have another bond with a time lord? All of Gallifrey despised him. Who could he have convinced to share a psychic bond with. "Who have you bonded with?" She asked curiously.

'That's for me to know and you to find out.' He chuckled before disconnecting the bond harshly. The connection being suddenly cut caused her a moment of brief pain but she managed to get over it quickly. As a telepathic species a bond was supposed to be severed gently to avoid that, but nothing about the Master was gentle.

She took off the headset and glanced at you and the others. They all knew the plan and you and the Doctor were about to leave to meet him. "(Y/n), you're up, let's go." You both left the flat and hurried down the stairs onto the street. The tower wasn't far but there were dozens of troops and planes between you both and the Master. "This way come on!" The Doctor grabbed your hand and pulled you towards an alleyway in the back.

"It's a bit cold up here." The Doctor called as she climbed out you followed. You shot the Master a glare and the Doctor offered her hand to you. You took it and the Master narrowed his eyes at you. "It's worse than Jodrell Bank."

"Did I ever apologize for that?" The Master asked.

"No." The Doctor called looking over the edge of the tower.

"Good." He scoffed.

"How's the shoulder?" She shot back with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

"Painful." He said back smugly. The Doctor glared at him looking him up and down. Her grip on your hand tightened slightly.

"I don't like what your wearing." She narrowed her eyes tilting her head. "Or the company you keep." She then scoffed before shaking her head. "How have you managed that? Your not exactly their Aryan archetype." She spat out.

"Tiny Teutonic psychic perception filter. Learn them in school." He said gesturing to his head. "Let's people see what they want to see."

"I'm assuming, it was you who hijacked the MI6 car." Said flatly.

"That was fun." He clarified.

"And assassinated C." She called.

"Mandraffian laser rifle. One shot. I was going to do it myself, but who knew my wife would be such a crack shot." He smirked at the Doctor's sudden confusion. "I really know how to pick them, don't I, Doctor." He took a step towards her and stood toe to toe.

"You're what?" She called confused, she had assumed it was just something he said to help him keep his cover. She never thought someone actually married the Master, that he would have the patience or tolerance to deal with a companion. He stayed silent and just held a smug smirk on his face. Clearly he wasn't giving her anymore to work with. "Why were the Kasaavin assassinating spies?" The Doctor asked trying to gather as much information as possible.

"Earth's intelligence services started to realize their presence." He explained leaning over the railing. You pulled your hand out of the Doctor to stand more behind her. Gently placing your hands on her shoulder and back.

"So, what, you brought the Kasaavin to earth?" She asked ignoring your poking and prodding again. Though this time you were more persistent in getting more than the answers she was willing to give.

"They were already here." He smirked turning back to face her. He chuckled before continuing to explain. "I just persuaded them that we had interests in common. The Kasaavin are embedded across the whole of this universe, spies from another dimension." He moved towards the Doctor and you and she straightened her back as he rose his hands. "As I said to Mr Barton... think of them as Russia but bigger. Sleeper agents everywhere, waiting to be activated, amassing information in case they need to attack." He paused chuckling then grinning. "And I mean, you know me. I can't help myself. I have to stick my oar in." He then glanced back at you with another smirk before turning away. Your grip on her tightened and the Doctor grew angry.

"What have you done?" She asked biting back her anger.

"Suggested a better plan." He smirked.

Suddenly her phone went off in her phone went off in her pocket. She quickly declined the call before putting it back in her pocket. "Oh, must change the ringtone. Sent it to voicemail. Probably just  asking if I've had an accident in the last 5 years. They hate it when you give a list, though, don't they?" She asked. She used her sonic in her pocket to send a signal out to help Ada and Noor.

"Why didn't you die, when the Kasaavin attacked you?" The Master asked.

"I was wondering the same Doctor." You called stepping to the side of her.

"You and me." The Doctor called gesturing to us. "Both time travelers, fizzing with artron energy, and out DNA not quite matching the rest of humanity, we confused them." She said smugly. "And I don't think they're as stable in this dimension as they'd like to be." She narrowed her eyes at them her voice growing stern as she asked. "What deal have you made with them?"

"I showed them and Barton what was possible." He said walking past you both. "They helped me lay a trap for you and I raised their ambitions. Of course, ultimately, the Kasaavin are just the mechanism. They... they don't have my vision. You know?"

"And what vision is that?"

"Maximum carnage." He replied nonchalantly.

"I don't understand." The Doctor replied.

"No, no, I know you don't." He said in an understanding tone. "But you will." He said with a grin. "And of course the best thing is... everyone loses except me, and my wife. Barton and those creatures do the dirty work, and once they're done we get rid of them, having destroyed your precious human race in the process. Win. Win. Win."

"When does all this stop for you?" The Doctor asked sternly. "The games?" She spat out angrily. "The betrayals? The killing?"

"I have one more betrayal for you Doctor." He said smugly.

"What does that mean?" She asked.

"You wanted to meet my wife, I know you've been dying to." The Master offered his hand out and the Doctor watched as you walked around her to take it. "You remember Leviathan don't you? My wife has been an absolute Angel in keeping me informed on where and when you were. Helping me keep tabs on your thoughts."

"Leviathan? That's who you have a bond with?" The Doctor asked with zero recognition. But then she remembered... the clone, or twin or whatever she was that grew from your blood cells, back when the Ux revived you from death. "You can't be here. You're locked up in Stormcage."

"I was, but then I broke out."

"How?" The Doctor asked.

"Please, you're one to talk, all those times we'd sneak River out to go on an adventure? You think I didn't learn a trick or two?" She scoffed. "And you!" She called looking at the Master sternly. She punched him across the face hard enough for him to stumble back. "That's for having to hide under the floorboards, you know I hate tight spaces!" She then punched him again. "That is for nearly shooting me while under said floorboards, asshole!"

"Levi, please." The Master called slightly embarrassed. "We have company." He said gesturing to the Doctor.

"I don't give a rats ass!" She shouted angrily before she started hitting at his chest. "Fuck you!"

"Leviathan!" The Master shouted grabbing her wrists. "Enough!" He called looking her in the eyes. "We have work to do." She took in a calming breath and plastered a small smile on her face before turning to the Doctor.

"Gotcha didn't I? I'm surprised the floorboards didn't give it away, (Y/n) must not be that great of a kisser, because I barely even tried."

"You what." The Master called angrily.

"Nothing dear." Levi called with a smug smile though the Doctor frowned at the thought of being used. Of being tricked like she did. She couldn't believe she was foolish enough to believe her ruse for a second, but she did... even though she was suspicious since the beginning, her gut instinct telling her not to trust, but her hearts acted on their own accord willing her to believe that this... Leviathan was her lovely wife. "Now, to answer your questions." Levi said with a shrug of her shoulders. "The betrayals, the killing, yada yada." She rolled her eyes before looking to the Master.

"Why would it stop?" He asked. "I mean how else would I get your attention?" He stood toe to toe to her. Mere inches apart. "When did you last go home?"

"What do you mean?"

"I took a trip home. To Gallifrey." He took a few steps back and leaned against the railing again. "Hiding in its little bubble universe. Not sure how to describe what I found." The Doctor looked at him curiously and confused. What did he find back home? "'Pulverized'? 'Burned'? 'Nuked'? All of the above." The Doctor couldn't believe what she was hearing and she shook her head. After everything she had done to save it. No it couldn't possibly be gone again. It was safe in a pocket universe. She saved it! It's impossible! How could it be gone?! "Someone destroyed it." He said with a solemn look. "Our home... razed to the ground." No, no, no. "Everyone killed..." impossible, no. "Everything burned."

"You're lying." She scoffed he had to be. Gallifrey was safe she made sure of it.

"You should really take a look." He said seriously. "Oh wait, you won't be able to. I just thought I'd let you know before I..."

"Can you hear voices?" She said smugly.

"Why are there troops coming up the stairs? Levi!" The master shouted and she shook her head confused.

"Oh that's me, and one of the Blighty's bravest radio operators. Very good at sending messages, particularly fake ones designed to be intercepted." She said with a dark smile.

"Levi!" The Master called and she shook her head not knowing what to do. Wondering how all of this slipped by her.

"I started growing suspicious of you when you denied my request for a psychic bond. The real (Y/n), would have let me in, all your poking and prodding at my thoughts was another red flag. Also the real (Y/n) has a wound on her leg and a small limp, that hasn't healed yet, and won't for the better part of a a day and a half." The Doctor said with a snarl. "Next time you pretend to be my wife, make sure I'm in a good mood." The Doctor called before turning to the Master. "Now finish what you were saying!"

"What have you done!" The Master charged forward and pinned the Doctor against the railing hand on her neck as her back dangled over the side.

She just smirked smugly, with a newfound darkness she held within. "Sent a message to the Brits... telling them how valuable you and your wife have been as double agents." She grinned at his frantically nervous expression. "Sending Nazi information to the British." He let her go and he sprinted to the stairs. "Facial perception filter?" She asked pulling out her sonic. "Very easy to jam. Now they'll see the real you."

"No, Doctor, you know what they'll do to him... to us." Levi said standing in front of the Master with wide pleading eyes.

"You should have thought of that before you chose your side." She called darkly and a shiver ran down her spine.

"You Valeyard.." she muttered and the Doctor looked at her with a snarl.

"What did you say to me?" She called darkly.

"Doctor, please..."

"Good luck." She replied closing the doors to the lift after bolting inside. She gave a smirk as the Master looked at her with a worried expression through the glass. As she began descending she heard the shouting of German and the stomping of jackboots on the metal grating. Now to find that Tardis and get back to you. The real you. The thought of being tricked into believing that cheap imitation of you was actually you left a sour taste in her mouth and she grimaced. She couldn't wait to get back to the real you. She closed her eyes and hummed at the thought of pulling you into a tight hug and holding you tightly. The Doctor was so disgusted with herself after being with Levi she felt like she needed a shower to wash her touch from off her skin. She couldn't believe she had the audacity to call her a name the Doctor hated more than anything. There was no such thing as the Valeyard. The Valeyard would never come into existence. The Valeyard was a paradox, because the Doctor would never stood that low... never again. Then there was Gallifrey... he couldn't be lying, he had to be lying. But that didn't matter now, she needed to find you first, and make sure you were ok. You were and always will be her first priority.

When the doors opened the Doctor broke out into a long sprint. She dodged patrols and blended into the dark alleys with ease until she found Noor and Ada. She paused panting for breath having ran all the way here. "Over here!" Noor called. "Is this what you meant?" She asked gesturing to the house in the middle of the street. "That wasn't here last week."

"I bet it wasn't." She scoffed before adding. "So arrogant. Didn't even change the appearance." She looked over at Ada and Noor. "Ok you two, my best secret agents, time to go lock picking."

"Where is (Y/n)? Wasn't she with you?" Ada asked concerned and the Doctor frowned.

"It wasn't really her, a spy in disguise." The Doctor said bitterly as she pulled out her sonic. "A cheap imitation of my beloved." She bit back a snarl as she approached the doors. "Ah here we go." She called as she opened it with the sonic. She threw the doors open and walked inside.

"Why is this house so important?" Ada asked as she and Noor trailed behind.

"That's because it's not a house." The Doctor began to explain as she walked to the center console. "It's a machine that travels in space and time. This is my way back, to finding my friends, my wife, and saving humanity." She grinned turning to face the others. "I know you think I'm mad, but give me five minutes and you'll think I'm the sanest person alive..." she paused for a moment. "Ok that was an overstatement. I said the Master's arrogant, but arrogance can trip you up!" She turned and used her sonic screwdriver on the console until suddenly a map of the world appeared. Hundreds of little dots appeared all around it. "A temporal map, showing every significant person in development of computers through history, starting with you Ada." She turned around excitedly to see the confused faces of Ada and Noor. "This is the plan see?" She wished by Rasilon you here, you would know what to do, what to say. You would share in her excitement or you would think of a way to keep her on track.

"No."
"No." Both women said in unison.

"What is a computer?" Ada asked and the Doctor knew she stepped in it this time.

"Forget you heard that word. Otherwise I just disrupted the whole of history... again." The Doctor turned back to the console excitedly as her brain worked out all the tiny intricate pieces of the Master, and Levi's puzzle. "Ok, ah my brain's fizzing. Good. The Kasaavin posted an agent on every person on that map, because that's what spies do, what Barton does. They gather all the data!" The Doctor turned on her heels and began pacing the Master's Tardis in thought. "But where does the DNA fit in? Kasaavin, technology, DNA? How are they all connected?" The Doctor looked at her two new confused companions before suddenly it hit her. "Human DNA! That's what they were testing!" She ran to the console taking them into flight. She was going to stop them and finally get back home to you.
