~Kiara's POV~
This week has seriously turned crappy. 1, Jacob tells us that Bella jumped off a cliff, survived, then ran off to Italy with Alice. 2, Harry was successful in leading Charlie away from the wolves, but it cost him his life, which also in turn caused his kids Seth and Leah to shift. They were so upset about their father's death. 3, Victoria has still been around causing trouble. She really wants to kill Edward and Bella.
"Baby, are you okay?" I hear Jeremy ask as he held my waist from behind.
"I don't think I can do this, Jeremy. I've been to enough funerals for my taste." I said on the verge of tears.
"I know, baby. But Harry was family." Jeremy replied.
"I feel so bad for Leah and Seth. I wish I could have done something." I said.
"I know, but I don't think there's anything you could have done." Jeremy soothed me, which barely made me feel better.
"Let's get this over with. I want the entire pack over so we can be together." I reply as we adjourn downstairs to find Emmett and Rosalie feeding Ava and Emily.
"Hey. How are you feeling?" Rosalie asks.
"Better than I was two minutes ago. Did you girls eat?" I ask back.
"Rosie and Emmy made E and I pancakes." Ava answered as she twirled in her funeral attire.
"How do I look, Mommy?" Ava asks as she rushed into my arms.
"You look adorable, baby girl." I answered as I hugged her.
"Why is everyone so sad? Did something happen?" Ava asks. I was silent as everyone gave me pity looks.
"Sweetie, this day... today is the day we honor a fallen friend. A family friend who is no longer with us." I answered.
"Where is this friend? Can I meet them?" Ava asks.
"I'm sorry, honey. But it's impossible." I answer sad.
"I'm sorry. Who was this friend?" Ava asks.
"His name is Harry Clearwater. And he was a wolf, just like the boys." I answer.
"Really?! Do you think his fur was as soft as Jared's?" Ava asks.
"I bet he was." I answer as Emily was fed a bottle that I made last night.
"Are we ready to go?" Jeremy asks.
"Yeah. The pack is meeting us there." Emmett answered.
Nodding my head, we gathered out stuff and the diaper bags then went to the Jeep. Emmett and Rosalie give Emily to Jeremy before flashing away. I put Ava in her car seat as Jeremy put Emily's carrier next to her.
When we arrived at the cemetery, we were greeted by Sue and Uncle Billy.
"Sue, I am so sorry. Harry didn't deserve to leave so soon." I said as Ava and I hugged her.
"It's okay, sweetie. He died doing what he loved. Hunting and protecting his home. The pack is already inside, but their mostly watching over Seth and Leah. Their still trying to get used to all of this." Sue replied.
Nodding, I picked Ava up then walked inside. I saw the boys watching over a sad Seth and an angry Leah.
"How many times do I have to fucking tell you? I don't need a damn babysitter, I need to mourn my father." Leah said gritting her teeth before shoving Paul and Embry away.
"Hey!" I shouted, gaining their attention. "Now is not the time for wolf masculinity bullshit. This is the time of mourning." They felt guilty and shut up. "Now, gets your acts together and shut your mouths. This is a fucking funeral for God's sake!" I whisper the last of my speech before I walked back to my child.
But when I got back, I was in awe as Seth was making Ava smile and laugh. I walked over and startled them.
"Having fun baby girl?" I ask.
"Yeah. Seth is funny." Ava answers with a giggle.
"I bet he is. Are you hungry?" I ask. She nods her head before reaching out for me. I chuckle as I take her from Seth. I thought I saw him pout, but I shrugged it off as I made my kids my top priority.
After Ava and Emily were fed, I sat next to Jeremy as they started the service. Once the preacher was done with his speech, I rocked Emily to sleep not wanting her to be bored. Then, as the service ended, they lowered Harry's casket was lowered into the ground.
Just as I was putting Emily in the car, Jeremy and Sam walk up to me with sorrowful expressions.
"Hey, I have the meat ready to be cooked. All we need to do is throw it on the grill when we get home." I said to them softly so my kids stay asleep.
"Okay. But Kiara, there's something we need to tell you." Sam replied.
"What?" I ask.
"Come on. We'll talk when we get home." Jeremy answers, avoiding the subject.
I shrug my shoulders before getting in the car and let Jeremy drive. When we got home, I grabbed Emily and walked Ava inside before putting them down for the rest of their naps. When I got Ava stripped, I had her climb into bed and sleep for the next few minutes. As I got back down to the living room, I see Sam looking sorrowful while Jeremy was holding back his anger.
"Okay. Someone want to tell me what's going on. Cause I just had an interesting conversation with Ava before she fell asleep." I said with my arms crossed.
"And what conversation is that?" Jeremy asks, fiddling with his fingers.
"Oh, just a nice conversation at how my little, not even one year old child, thought that Seth was adorable and cute. She also wanted to know if Seth was coming over for the BBQ." I said gritting through my teeth. Jeremy and Sam lowered their heads knowing I was right.
"Sam, talk, now!" I stated, angry.
"You know we have no control over it, Kiara. Seth didn't know what he even did but today was the saddest moment in his life and he has found the one person who could cheer him up." Sam replies.
"And that's supposed to make it okay?!" I exclaim. "This is about a new shifter imprinting on my child. A child, Sam! How am I supposed to be happy for them both if one little slip up could result in the same thing as last time!" Sam looked hurt, but he understood my point even though I felt bad about using Emily as an excuse.
"That's not all, babe." Jeremy finally spoke.
"Oh! Am I missing something else?" I ask sarcastic.
"It also seems... that Leah... imprinted on Emily." Sam answered, hesitantly.
"WHAT??!" I exclaimed as my aunt and uncle rushed inside along with the others.
"What's going on?!" Uncle Han asks holding his gun.
"Some wolves just pissed me off." I seethed as Sam and Jeremy stepped back.
I let out a sob as I used teleportation to grab Emily and teleport again into my safe room. Using my magic, I locked the door and held my baby while sobbing.
Hearing a gentle knock, I didn't move a muscle.
"Kiara, baby, please open up." I hear Jeremy's voice, he was pleading to me.
"N-No. If I do, then... they're gonna take my baby away from me." I whimpered.
"No, baby. They're not. I promise." Jeremy replied calm. "Look, baby, we need to talk about this. If we don't so this soon, then Seth and Leah are gonna be hurt. We can't keep them apart or we hurt our kids as well. You don't want our kids to be hurt, do you?"
"No." I whimper.
"Then please, baby. I know I told you that you can stay in this room until you were ready to come out. But right now, all I can think about is holding my hurt wife who is just worried about her child. Please, come out beautiful." Jeremy pleaded.
Wiping my face, I carefully got up while holding Emily. Slowing opening the door, I faced Jeremy as he pulled me into his arms. Picking me up in his arms, he walked back downstairs. I saw my family, Rosalie and Emmett, Sam, Seth, Leah and Uncle Billy.
"Hi, Kiara. How are you feeling?" Uncle Billy asks.
"I'm fine." I whisper/whimper as Jeremy sat down on the couch with me in his arms.
"Kiara, I understand that what just happened was scary. Especially when Emily and Ava are just children." Billy said.
"My children." I mutter, innocently while clutching my sleeping child in my arms.
"Yes, your children." Billy repeated making me smile. "Now, I don't believe you know the full deal about the imprint bond. Instead of it being just love at first sight, it all depends on what they both feel. The imprinters can be protective. Like Quil and Claire. You can see how obvious he has feelings for her, but he is waiting for her to grow up and until then he is her protector."
"So, Seth and Leah will be Ava's and Emily's protectors until my children are grown up and they chose how their relationships will turn out?" I ask.
"Of course. Seth and Leah would never push themselves on your kids like that, Kiara. They only wish to get to know them. Protect them. That's it. You have my word." Billy answered.
"Where are they now?" I ask.
"Outside. They didn't want to risk their imprints by upsetting you." Jeremy answered.
Sighing, I stood up and walked outside. Both of them shot their heads up, and grew nervous. I nod my head, they relaxed.
"I understand that this is all new for you two, and you just lost your father only to find your soulmates. But listen here, they are children, my children, you will respect not only them but me and my husband. If you can't do that, then I will make sure that you two never see them again and you will be in pain. Understand?" I spoke to them.
"Yes." They answered scared/in unison.
"Good. Now, Emily is still gonna down for her nap, but I plan on waking her soon. Leah, you have my permission to watch over her but do not wake her up. Seth, could you help me with Ava?" I spoke.
They softly smiled as I led them inside and upstairs. Setting Emily back in her crib, I helped Leah get comfortable before showing Seth Ava's room. I took his hand and led him over to my chair. Propping a pillow, I helped him get comfortable as Ava turned over.
Smiling, I teleported back to the living room, startling the boys.
"I almost hate it when you do that." Jeremy grumbles.
I giggle. "Sorry. I gotta use my powers so they work properly." I say before giving him a kiss. "Okay, the meat is thawed out by now, the veggies and fruit need to be washed and prepped. And the dessert was made last night and is in the freezer."
"Okay, Paul and Jared will help with the meat, I believe Emily would love to help with the rest." Sam replied.
Nodding, I led Sam and the boys to the meat on the kitchen counter while Emily came and helped me cut the fruits and veggies.
"Mommy?" I stopped what I was doing to see Seth coming down with Ava.
"What is it sweetie? Did you sleep well?" I ask.
"Mm-hmm. Is that strawberries I smell?" Ava asks.
"Of course. Would you like some?" I ask/answer.
Seth brought her over to the clean counter and set her on top. I grabbed a clean berry and gave it to my baby girl. Seth watches as she squealed happily for a strawberry. She gets that from me.
"What's for dinner?" Ava asks.
"How does steak, burgers, some veggies, corn on the cob, and a fruit salad sound?" I answer as I give her a carrot.
She nodded her head as she wanted down. Getting her down, I told Seth to put on a show on the TV so she'll have something to do, even color so she doesn't watch to much TV.
As I finished the veggies, one of my wedding gift was placed in front of me full of red wine. I looked to the right to see Emily.
"You look like you could use a drink." She said.
I sighed before taking a sip from my letter 'K' monogrammed wine glass.
"You bet I do." I mutter before taking another sip. "God, I hate funerals."
"I bet." Emily mutters, sympathetically.
"No one, besides Seth, Leah, and Sue, will ever understand what I have gone through. Besides Jeremy, I barely have anyone who understands the pain I feel. There are barely any good moments in my life besides meeting and dating my husband, marring my husband, giving birth to two amazing special kids. Being friends with vampires and shape shifters while being magic. My life is a freaking book." I said, causing Emily to laugh. But soon our laugh was interrupted when Seth and Leah brought Emily and Ava over to us.
"Hey, honey, what's wrong?" I ask, setting my wine glass down as Jeremy comes back in.
"We're hungry momma." Ava says holding her tummy.
"Okay, sweetie. The food's almost cooked." I reply, Jeremy nods.
"No, momma, E and I are hungry." Ava repeated, causing me to look at my kids. My eyes widen as Jeremy flashed upstairs and flashed back with two sippy-cups full of animal blood.
"Sorry, baby girls. I forgot that a week has passed. Momma was stressed. Here, baby." I said as I take Ava from Seth as Jeremy took Emily from Leah.
Giving the girls the sippy-cups, they sucked the blood down like they were starving. Scolding them about drinking too fast, they ended up with hiccups. Patting their backs, they burped before getting sleepy again.
"Wanna go swing?" I ask letting out a yawn.
Ava yawned too before nodding her head. Going outside, I climbed into the large swing, laid down and had Ava on my chest. Jeremy walks over while holding Emily before gently swinging us.
After a few more minutes of swinging relaxing, the food was ready. When everyone was nice and full, Sam and Jeremy out a few movies on which caused the pack and my babies to fall asleep. Little did I know, I was really sleepy too.
~Jeremy's POV~
Noticing that my wife and child had fallen asleep, I took Ava upstairs as Sue brought Emily upstairs to her crib. Sam got the pack to fall asleep in the living room as I carried my beautiful wife up to our bedroom. Flashing her out of her funeral attire, I put her in one of my t-shirts as she clung to me as I laid down next to her.
"Sleep well, beautiful." I whisper as the night went on.
