Example no. 06: Yours is Mine
Taehyung has been taking care of his son for 7 years now. Since he got pregnant, his son never found out about his other dad. He never told him anything about him because he believes Taejung doesn't need to know everything.
But it sometimes bothered him because he knows how powerful his ex-husband was.
He was worried, what if one day he comes out of nowhere and took Taejung away from him?
With his life status right now, he was sure how that person can easily take his son away.
It scared him, Taejung was the only person he had. He doesn't want to lose him, like how people in his life throw him away.
There's no way Taejung's dad will find them, right?
It's been so long now, it might be possible that Taejung's dad has no interest in them anymore…
“Appa, what's happening to you? You're not listening to me, are you?”
He came back to his senses when he felt a poke on his cheek. He was sitting on the floor of his house with Taejung in front of him while they were making his assignment.
“I'm sorry, bub, what is it? Appa was just thinking of something.” Taehyung tried to change the topic.
“My classmate asked me where is my other dad because I told her that I only have one, and she said it was impossible because it is usually two people. So, Appa, do I have another dad? Where is he, then?”
That made Taehyung taken aback, he didn't expect Taejung to ask him questions like that.
“Also, I always heard that I look like someone they always see on TV. I forgot his name, but they said he's pretty popular everywhere.” Taejung giggled.
Taehyung swallowed hard, he fisted his hands on his lap. He doesn't know how he should answer him.
Why does Taejung have to find out that way?
He's been hiding it for so long, why?
“Appa, you're not answering me! You're a meanie~” Taejung whined and crossed his arms.
He gave Taehyung his puppy eyes to look angry, but he turned one cute instead.
“Taejung, about that, it's b—”
Before Taehyung can reveal something, they both hear knocks on the door.
“Wait here, bub, I'll just take a look at who is it. Just continue coloring your books, okay?” Taehyung patted Taejung's head before he stood up.
He was relieved that someone interrupted him. He wasn't ready to say anything — yet. It made him feel nervous for some reason. However, he was confused about who was knocking this time because he barely got friends who visit him.
Maybe it's his friend from his work, Jiwook, who always takes care of him and his son when he needed the most.
“Jiwook, is that you? What are you d—”
When Taehyung opened the door, he felt like something cold poured over him. He was frozen in his place yet shaking a bit, seeing the person in front of him.
There's no way this is happening… this can't be true.
Why?
What's he doing here?
How did he find out?
“J-Jungkook…”
“It's been a while, love, I thought you had already forgotten about me.” With a smirk, Jungkook responded.
“Appa, what you took so long? Who's that?” Suddenly, Taejung appeared beside Taehyung, clutching his left leg.
His eyes met Jungkook and that's the moment Taehyung knew, he fucked up. There's no way Jungkook wouldn't notice, Taejung was literally a carbon copy of him.
“What an interesting kid you have, love.” Jungkook grinned, looking at Taejung.
He was about to touch him, but Taehyung slapped his hand away.
“Don't touch him, he's not yours.” That word slipped out of Taehyung's mouth and immediately hid Taejung behind him.
Jungkook leaned his head on the door frame and crossed his arms with a smug on his face.
“You are literally going to say that as if that kid isn't a carbon copy of mine. What a shameful lie to hear from you.” Jungkook chuckled.
“What are you doing here?” Taehyung kept his plain face while looking at him.
He flinched when Jungkook suddenly grabbed his chin, pulling him closer. He put his hands on Jungkook's chest to push him away, but the grip on his chin tightened.
“Taking back what's mine.”
Taehyung's eyes widened when he heard that. He saw Jungkook look at Taejung and back at him.
