"There you are, young man. I've looked all over for you— I see you've got a friend?" Y/N has been searching for Jasper for a few days. He's been missing in action, making the girl worry that someone might do something bad to her pet. "Is this why you've been missing? Hanging out with your friend?" Y/N petted Jasper as he purred. She looked at the He is quite large for a cat, orange-coloured with brown stripes, and has an ugly, almost flat face and a bottle-brush tail.

Meow

"You should've told me; you've been missing for days." Y/N looked at the orange cat; he seemed too old by his appearance. Maybe Jasper and the orange cat were wandering around the castle, finding food or something. "Hello there, what's your name, little guy?" She was about to pet him, but before she even did it, he was glaring at her soul.

Meow

"What a grumpy friend you have here Jasper," Y/N said She stared at the two cats that were grooming themselves.

Today was the day of the first Hogsmeade trip, and Y/N and Aspen agreed that they'd be going together to explore the village. both girls are very excited about the first Hogsmeade trip. As they were eager to begin their journey. The temperature had dropped significantly. The Students were wearing thick clothes as Scotland's breeze was cold for mid-October.

"Ms. Yaxley, are you busy?" Y/N fixed herself when she saw Professor Lupin approaching her. The Slytherin shook her head in answer. "Ms. Yaxley, may I talk to you for a second?"

"Sure, Professor." Y/N said goodbye to the two cats and sternly told Jasper that he should tell her if he would go to his friend. The Y/H/C followed Lupin as they walked down the corridor.

"For the past few weeks, Y/N., I've seen that you truly know what Against the Dark Arts is, and I am truly fascinated with the knowledge you have," he started. "The offer that I told you about way back in September is still open," he said as they continued to stride.

With no doubt, Y/N wanted to help the man. It will gain her more points and give her higher marks than Granger, yet she was having too much fun with this term. She didn't want to explode because of the stress she was having.

"I'm sorry, Professor. But I can't for the moment. I have responsibilities to do, and all of them need attention, but it's nice that you considered me about it." The girl declined politely.

Professor Lupin smiled as he nodded to the student. "That's fine; I know that being in your third year is hard since you have elective classes." He told Y/N "How were your classes? Mind if I ask? I heard that there's a tiny problem with the care of magical creatures."

"All of them were fine, and it was just a misunderstanding, sir."

He accompanied her to the entrance hall, where Filch, the caretaker, was standing inside the front doors, checking off names against a long list, peering suspiciously into every face, and making sure that no one was sneaking out who shouldn't be going.

"No form, no visiting the village, so don't forget!"

"I think it's your time to leave. Have fun, and as I advised you, a butterbeer is a must." He beamed and patted the girl's shoulder, saying, "Take care." The girl thought how fascinating that Lupin did really well and kept it together... Y/N nodded and went down the stairs as she heard Draco shout.

"Staying here, Potter?" Who was standing in line with Crabbe and Goyle. "Scared of passing the dementors?" Potter ignored him and made his solitary way up the marble staircase.

"Aren't you going?" Y/N asked once they crossed paths. The girl presumed that his muggle relatives didn't sign his permission slip because they are muggles. She heard that those muggles were treating him like rubbish.

"Do I look like it?" He snapped, making Y/N raise her right eyebrow and scowl.

"Merlin, did Granger pass her grumpiness to you?" Y/N teased, "You know you can just use your invisibility cloak of yours so that the cloak has a reason to be used." She told him

"If only I could, but Hermione wouldn't let me, you know her." The girl knows. Granger is a goody two shoes; she won't be surprised that she'll be prefect one day.

"I'm sure your friends will give something to you." Y/N patted his shoulder and left because she already saw Aspen waving at her.

"Y/N!" When the Slytherin went to Aspen, she placed one arm over the shoulders of another and strolled to where Professor McGonagall stood.

"You surely took your time." The blonde girl complained while Y/N removed Selwyn's arm from around her shoulders.

"Lupin chatted for a while, and yes, I did." Y/N told the girl about how Lupin talked to her about helping with the subject.

"Last call for the Hogsmeade trip!"

The two gave their permission slips and gathered with the other students who would also go to the Hogsmeade village. The other higher year went first; the only ones who were there were the third years who were going to visit the village for the first time.

Y/N was looking forward to it; she read about Hogsmeade. It was founded by Hengist of Woodcroft. Before 1714. According to the book, Hogsmeade was founded in the 10th or 11th century, around the same time as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, by medieval wizard Hengist of Woodcroft, who was fleeing persecution by Muggles.

They were told to ride a carriage that would take them to the village. Y/N and Aspen went to the next carriage by themselves since they were the last ones in line.

The ride to Hogsmeade was only short, and they saw how small it is, but it was popular due to the shops and the products that they sell. Students can buy their supplies there rather than going back to Diagon Alley, which is a benefit for them. They can also have a nice butterbeer, which is a must, as Professor Lupin said.

Aspen asked Y/N out to go to Zonko's joke shop; they only roamed around as none of the products peeked their interest since both of the girls didn't like to do pranks on people. Though they see the Weasley twins, who are known for those specialties,

They also went to Honeydukes Sweetshop, which is a bit crowded with students of Hogwarts. Y/N bought a small amount of sweets and chocolates; Aspen, on the other hand, bought a bag of them.

They also saw that Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop was a small tea shop, and it is located on a side road off the High Street at Hogsmeade. The decoration was very tacky and frilly, and it was packed with couples, of course.

"This is great, except for the dementor's warning signs." A lot of warning signs were put up in the way, but none of the creatures were sighted today. "Do they really think that the escaped prisoner will go here? At Hogwarts? I'm not gonna lie, but they give me shivers every time I see one; it's like they're looking at me like I'm a meal." Y/N rolled her eyes as she heard Aspen's statement.

"It's because you are; we all are. The dementors feed on human emotion. Aspen, I'm starting to doubt the sorting hat's decision."

"For your information, not all Ravenclaws are smart. And aren't you too? I'm starting to doubt the sorting hat's decision." The blond girl fired back. "Are you going to buy something at Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop?" She asked, and Y/N shook her head.

The two went to Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop, where people restock their school supplies. Y/N has enough supplies for the first term. Aspen told Y/N she needed ink and a bit of parchment.

"Hey, have you heard the shrieking shack? I heard that it's haunted," Aspen said as she roamed around to get good-quality ink for her quill.

"So is Hogwarts." Y/N told her. It was true: Hogwarts has numerous ghosts roaming around the castle, so it'll be embarrassing if you're scared by the shrieking shack.

"True with all the ghosts there." After Aspen paid for her purchases, the two agreed that they should go to the Three Broomsticks. It's a well-known pub in Hogsmeade village that people always go to, and they also have a famous beverage called Butterbeer.

Upon entering the pub, it was packed with students of Hogwarts who came to visit Hogsmeade village. It was cosy and warm, and the fire kept it lit.

The two girls went to the counter to get the cold butterbeer that they had wanted to try since then and that the higher years were talking about. "Two butterbeers, please." Aspen said to the woman, who is in her mid-30s, A curvy sort of woman with a pretty face. On one occasion, she was wearing glittery open-toed high heels.

"That'll be four sickles." The woman told Aspen and gave her the amount of money that was needed. The two went to find a vacant table, and it didn't take long before some couple just stood up and walked away right after they paid.

"So, how's the quarrel going on?" Aspen asked which made Y/N roll her eyes. The two settled down first before Slytherin could answer the question.

"Still the same." The girl answered while she removed her cardigan and put it aside.

"You know that eventually, you two will make up, right? You've got to bring that big pride of yours low," Aspen pointed out.

"I don't know Aspen. You know Draco; he'll throw a tantrum like a toddler. If someone did better than him. If you're only there and you know that Draco's the one who made a mistake, then he's blaming the poor creature." While the Y/H/C Madam Rosmerta served their butterbeer, the two thanked the older woman. "As I was saying, the things he joked about the dementors" The girl drank her butterbeer and looked at it as the most amazing drink that she ever tasted, a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch.

"I've talked to Draco; he's willing to talk about it."

Y/N nodded and put down the butter beer. "Then that's good. As he should." The girl remarked

The two friends continued to talk about school and some people that Aspen had talked to. Y/N just acknowledged and listened to Aspen, as she was the listener between the two of them.

"He was like this and saying that those weren't for that thing, but he was nice, but you know me..." Y/N spaced out when a brunette walked into her sight. She saw Weasley and Granger sitting together at the table with the things that they bought.

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the girl she fancied. She couldn't help but notice the beautiful features in her well-done hair and how wonderfully her maroon jumper complemented her. Y/N couldn't take her attention away since she was mesmerized by the way she looked. Y/N watched how the Gryffindor removed her maroon beanie and her scarf and set them aside.

"What are you looking at?" Aspen asked and looked where Y/N was looking, at which the Yaxley girl looked away.

"N-Nothing." The girl stated as she cleared her throat and drank some butterbeer to ease herself. "Have you heard from Sorin yet?" The girl changed the topic, hoping that Aspen would buy it.

"None." The Ravenclaw answered and sighed, "He might be busy with his studies; you know he wanted to be an Auror." The two talked and spend more time at the Three Broomsticks pub. While they were there, she couldn't stop stealing some glances at the girl who seems to enjoy her free time.

When it was getting dark Aspen and Y/N decided to go back to Hogwarts for dinner. They went to the port where the carriages are. They went to the great hall as they saw the feasts that were being held. When the feast finished with entertainment provided by the Hogwarts ghosts. They popped out of the walls and tables to do a bit of formation gliding: the Bloody Baron and the Slytherin ghost. Someone shouted through the crowd as they all left the hall, "The dementors send their love, Potter!"

"Can't you just shut up for a minute?" Y/N snapped, making the boy shut his mouth off, and motioned for Crabbe and Goyle to follow him. Her Slytherin friends were looking at each other, though they didn't want to make a comment because they were scared that the Yaxley girl might do something.

Y/N went to her dorm, following the girls behind her; the room was filled with chatter while she just listened to what they did earlier at the Hogsmeade. Millie even asked her where she was, and she answered that she was with Aspen.

The four girls went to bed early as they were exhausted. Y/N tried to read another chapter of her mother's diary, but her eyes betrayed her and she just slept peacefully.

Y/N was awoken by a loud knock, making her eyes wide open, though she wasn't the only one who got woken up. Pansy, who grumbled once again when there was a loud knock,

"Would you calm down? We're all awake because of—" Pansy was cut off by Alyssa, who was looking alarmed and also in her pajamas.

"Come out now, girls," she said, and she went to the next door to wake the others up.

"What? Why?" Millie asked, and the four of them didn't know what to do but to follow what the prefect said.

The other students also woke up and were a bit confused about what was going on. "Just go to the common room," Alyssa said. Y/N furrowed her brows and sighed; she was annoyed that her sleep was interrupted for something that she didn't know. She was getting decent sleep from all the things that she was dealing with.

This better be an emergency.

All the Slytherin students were in the common room, and like them, they were confused about why they were being awakened in the middle of the night. A lot of them were still closing their eyes and yawning.

The door opened, and they were greeted by Professor Snape, who seemed also to be in a hurry. "Into the great hall, now." He ordered.

"What's happening?" Daphne asked

"I don't know, but for sure, it's something bad," Y/N answered
