Yoongi slowly opened his eyes as the sunlight hit his face. He checked the time and saw that it was later than he normally wakes up; he didn't know when he fell asleep last night. His mind was occupied with everything that could possibly go wrong with his and Jungkook's relationship. He cried silently and stayed awake for a long time. He rubbed his forehead as his head was killing him. Jungkook was not beside him, so he thought he might be showering or in the kitchen. He slowly went and knocked on the door, but it was silent inside the bathroom,and the apartment itself felt silent. He called for him multiple times, but no one answered. Jin's room was empty too.
He checked his phone only to find a message Jungkook had sent about an hour before.
"Love🖤🍪: I am leaving early for work."
That's all he said. Yoongi wondered if Jungkook was indeed hiding something or avoiding him on purpose. Never in the 4 years of dating did Jungkook acted so suspicious; the bruise on his neck kept popping up on Yoongi's head. He tried calling Jungkook, but his phone was switched off, and even Seokjin was nowhere to be found in the apartment.

It was almost afternoon and Yoongi was sitting head down on his table, his mind going crazy. Jungkook had been avoiding his calls the entire day; he sent him messages telling him that he had back-to-back meetings and could not attend any calls.
He couldn't concentrate on his work one bit that day. He wished he could've called in sick and stayed home, but staying there alone would have made him more anxious.
His phone began ringing on the table, and he quickly jumped up to pick it up without checking who was calling.
"Heyy yoongi ssi"
It was not Jungkook; it was an unfamiliar voice. Yoongi sighed in disappointment. He was hoping Jungkook would call him back.
"Who is this?!
"This is Kai. Remember from that exhibition?"
Yoongi shut his eyes, nodding, "Oh, yeah. I'm so sorry I didn't recognise the voice.How are you? When is your interview? I forgot to call you..didn't I? I'm sorry!"
Kai laughed from the other side, saying, "Actually, I finished the interview just now, so I thought I'd give you a call myself!"
"Hey, that's good! How did it go?"
"How about we talk over lunch. Is it your break time yet?"
Yoongi checked his watch and saw that it was almost lunch time. "Ohh! I can take a break, I guess. We can meet at the cafe opposite the building in 10 minutes.
" See-you soon"

"It's great!..so we might end up as colleagues, actually.". Yoongi said as they discussed Kai's interview with the bank
"Hopefully!! " Kai said, sipping on his juice.
"It's meant to be ...our friendship; I mean, what are the odds of us meeting like that before even working to there?!" Kais said, smiling.
Yoongi chuckled. Seeing Kai's energy, he reminded him of Jimin somehow.
"So are you staying with your sister? " Yoongi asked
"Yes, our parents own an apartment here in the city; we are both kind of sharing it since I moved."
"You moved in already?" Yoongi asked with big eyes.
"Almost, I did quit my last job; as I said, I was planning to move here, so I took a leap of faith and just did it. I seriously hope the bank offers this job; otherwise, I don't know what I'll do. I mean, there are other jobs, but I was aiming for this one." He laughed
Yoongi chuckled quietly and started poking his food aimlessly. Kai looked at Yoongi for a while he noticed that he kept zoning out between talks.
"Are you ok?" He asked
Yoongi looked up with a hickup and said, "Yes!! why?!
Kai slightly nodded his head and said, "I don't know, you seem off!"
Yoongi was surprised that Kai noticed his sour mood.
He rubbed his forehead and laughed nervously. "It's nothing..you noticed ! I didn't know I was showing it."
Kai smiled in response, "I don't want to be annoying, but still. Wanna share? I mean, I'm practically a stranger, so you don't have to worry. And my sister says I'm a good listener. Is it work? Hard days?!"
"Nope, it's not that." Yoongi shook his head, not sure how to answer.
"Well then..i really don't think it's the boyfriend..i mean it's impossible!" He stated
Yoongi looked at him in surprise as he brought up Jungkook.
Kai noticed the look on Yoongis face and went O immediately. "Did you fight, is that it?"
Yoongi shrugged, "Something like that." How was he supposed to say to him everything that has been going on?
Kai laughed hearing taht. "I don't think you have to worry then."
Yoongi raised his eyebrows in confusion.
"Ohh !! That !! i saw the way he looks at you..not to say how possessive he is, if looks could kill it would have killed me that day!! I don't expect him to hurt you ever..and trust me when I say this..you guys do look like one of those couples who will grow old and have a house full of children..I'm sure it's something silly and you will figure it out." He said leaning back into his seat
Yoongi broke out into a smile hearing him talk.
"I certainly hope so. I really don't want to be like this."
"See, I told you..you are that mushy forever in love kind of couple..don't worry!!" Kai smiled
Yoongi nodded. "Thanks. I'm sorry I made this all about myself and my problems."
"Chill. I told you I'm a good listener."

Yoongi was waiting for the office time to be over after lunch, and somehow talking to Kai made him feel positive again. He was ashamed that it took a stranger to make him believe in Kook's love for him. He knew it was all Jin trying to get into his head, and he was just probably overthinking. And he needs to stop pretending that he is fine with Jin living there when he is not, and he needs to come clean about what Jin told him. He can't let Jin walk in and destroy their precious bond like that.
" hyung!! Do you want to go get Tteokbokki.." Taehyung asked excitedly as Yoongi started to leave.
"No," he said straight away and walked out before Taehyung could whine more.
On his way, he decided to grab some flowers. It was not a Saturday, but flowers have always been their thing, and he loved how Jungkook's face lit up every time he showed up with flowers.
He grabbed the most beautiful tulips he could find and drove back home.
Yoongi saw thatJungkook's was car already there. He didn't know that the younger came earlier than normal; normally he informs him before going home. He wondered what happened that day. But anyway, he was glad that he got to talk straight away without waiting.
Yoongi slowly went towards their apartment and opened the door. He gasped, and the tulips fell from his hands immediately. He felt his eyes tearing up, and his breath got caught in his lungs.He was struggling to find some air to breathe
" hyung!!!" Jungkook noticed Yoongi standing at the door and he pushed SeokJin away from him
"Let me explain. It's not what.." Jungkook began to talk
"Stop!! " Yoongi yelled, "Stop right there!!." He put up a hand
"Hyung, it's not what you think it is," said Jungkook and walked forward while Seokjin stood behind him with no expressions.
"I know exactly what I saw; he had his tongue down your throat. That's what's i saw," he yelled.
"Babe.." Jungkook called again, his eyes tearing up.
"Do not dare to call me that," Yoongi glared at him.
"Oh god!!" He pants hard, keeping a hand on his chest. He knew he was nearing a panic attack; he was struggling to breathe, and his vision started to blur. He held on to the door and sat down on the ground.
Jungkook ran to him, lifting him, and his eyes were already overflowing with tears.
"Hyung.."he called sniffling
Yoongi yanked his arm off him. "Don't touch me!" he yelled.
"Babe." Jungkook tried to grab him again.
"Do not touch me..arghh.." Yoongi suddenly broke down into crying.
"Hyung!! Will you please listen?" Jungkook crouched down beside him.
"No!! Stay away. You have done enough...it's our home jungkook not just yours..our..what ..how can you..fuck!!!." Yoongi sobbed uncontrollably. He felt his heart aching badly; he never in his life thought he would have to see something like this.
Jungkook sat on the floor crying with his head resting in his hands while Jin walked to him and tried to console him.
"Kookie.."
Jungkook glared at Seokjin, and he removed his hands from his shoulders immediately.
Yoongi noticed their interaction and wiped his tears. "I will get out of your way," Yoongi said, getting up and walking inside. He didn't know what he was doing. It's like he was operating on autopilot. He couldn't erase the image of them kissing from his head; all he could remember was that, and it made him furious and sad. He realised that the life he imagined and the forever he wanted were over. He was just a fool who spent his time trying to love a man who had already given his heart to someone else long ago.
He grabbed a few suitcases and packed some of his clothes, followed by his files and necessary items. Jungkook came running to the room, followed by Jin trying to yank him back.
He grabbed Yoongi once again. "Hyung stop!! What the hell are you doing?" Jungkook saw the suitcases and asked, still crying. Seokjin stood in the corner, watching everything happen and not talking.
Yoongi moved his hands from him. "Didn't I say to not touch me, Jungkook?"
"I'm sorry, Hyung!" He cried and sat on the floor, grabbing Yoongi's legs. "I'm sorry," he kept repeating.
Yoongi's heart broke every time he heard his cries, but he knew he shouldn't feel bad. After all, Jungkook made his choice, and it wasn't him.
"You are sorry you got caught! Isn't that what you mean?" he scoffed and stared at Seokjin, who snorted and looked away.
"Hyung!!!" Jungkook looked up.
He quickly grabbed what he had packed until then and walked out. He knew he had to do it; the longer he stood there, the more he wanted to punch the shit out of Seokjin. But he was not a man who loved violence of any kind; he didn't want to end up going against his principles for someone like him.
Jungkook hurried back and tried dragging him back.
"Please listen, babe. I'm sorry. ..I'm so sorry. Please don't leave. Just please, babe." Jungkook begged crying nonstop
Yoongi snorted and wiped his tears.
"I should have known Jungkook..i should have known... that man always came first to you.." he pointed at Seokjin .
"I was just a temporary replacement!..i'm not needed anymore as he is here now.. the moment you are left alone this is what you do..and how long were you planning to fool me?! Fucks sake you didn't even show the decency to just ask me to get the hell out before fucking him..Enjoy your time. I won't be a burden."
Jungkook let go of his hands, shocked by the way he talked. Yoongi was known to be sharp with his words but he never raised his voice at him ever .Yoongi walked out of the room towards the elevator.
He heard Jungkook's footsteps approaching him, followed by Jin's voice.
"Let him go Kookie. It's not worth it."
Yoongi felt like his whole world was collapsing around him. He didn't dare to look back or listen to anything more. He walked out, took his car, and drove away. He had no idea where he was going, but he needed a place where no one could find him.
