Few days later
Restless days went on endlessly, uncertainty gnawing at Gojo's. His vibrant eyes flickered with frustration and concern as he paced around his private quarters, caught in an agonizing abyss of emotions.
"Why won't he reply?" Gojo muttered under his breath, his fists clenching with pent-up emotions. He had sent countless messages to Geto, each one more urgent than the last, but the silence was deafening. It was unlike Geto to ignore him, no matter the circumstances.
A flicker of concern crossed Gojo's eyes; he sensed something was amiss with Geto. Unable to bear the torment, he dialed Geto's number, his fingers trembling.
The dial tone echoed in the room, each ring sounding like a heartache. But there was no answer, no reassurance that Geto was still there, still listening.
Helplessness washed over Gojo, drowning him in emotions he usually shielded with ease.
"Why won't he answer the phone?" Gojo whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "There's something important I need to tell him."
As time seemed to drag on, the door to Gojo's room slowly opened, and Shoko entered, looking concerned.
Gojo, who had been lost in his thoughts, turned to face her with a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Shoko? What brings you here?"
She inhaled deeply in order to prepare herself for what she was about to say. "Gojo, we need to talk," she said with a firm voice despite the nervous flutter in her heart.
He motioned for her to take a seat, his eyes searching her face for any signs of urgency or concern. "Of course, what's on your mind?"
Shoko took a deep breath, her expression weighed down with worry as she hesitated before speaking. "I need to tell you something about Geto," she finally said, her voice carrying a note of unease. "He... He was kidnapped," she revealed softly, the words filled with sorrow.
As Shoko's words pierced the air, the gravity of her revelation sinking into Gojo's heart like a weighty anchor. His cerulean eyes widened in disbelief.
"Geto was kidnapped?" Gojo's voice screeched, raging with anger and anxiety. His tremendous strength was only just kept in check, but the mere thought of his lover being kidnapped sparked a wave of rage that he was ready to release in a flood of defence and revenge.
Shoko nodded, her own gaze steady but filled with worry. "Yes, Principal Yaga was speaking to someone, and I overheard them mentioning Geto's name. They said he was taken, but they didn't disclose any more details."
The news felt like a punch to Gojo's gut, and a storm of questions raged in his mind. Who could have dared to kidnap Geto? And why?
In that moment, Gojo looked like a tempest on the brink of breaking loose, a force of nature ready to unleash its fury. His clenched fists trembled with restrained power.
Shoko had seen Gojo in his moments of strength and awe-inspiring abilities, but this was something different, something raw and untamed.
"Gojo, please," Shoko said, her voice with concern, "don't lose control. We need to stay focused and think rationally."
Her words were a plea to quell the storm threatening to engulf him, but she couldn't deny the fear that gripped her. She had always admired Gojo's strength and charisma, but in that moment, she saw the weight he carried, the depth of his emotions, and the potential darkness that lurked beneath.
Gojo's piercing gaze locked onto Shoko, and for a moment, she felt as though he could see into the depths of her soul.
"I won't let anything happen to him," Gojo finally spoke. "Geto means a lot to me, and I won't rest until he's safe."
Shoko nodded. "I know," she replied softly. "We'll find him, Gojo. Together."
Determined to rescue Geto, Gojo and Shoko sought help from trusted allies. They went to Nanami's office, where Gojo quickly explained the urgency and gravity of the situation.
Shoko's eyes never left Nanami's face, hoping to gauge his reaction to the news.
She asked, a firm tone in her voice, "Nanami, we need your help."
Nanami's intense scrutiny fell upon them, his keen gaze assessing the sincerity behind their words.
"What do we know about the situation?" Nanami inquired, his tone measured and methodical.
Shoko stepped forward, providing the details she had overheard earlier. She recounted the conversation she had accidentally stumbled upon, the mention of Geto's name, and the chilling confirmation that he had been taken.
As Shoko spoke, Nanami's expression hardened.
He understood the weight of the situation and the need for immediate action.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention," Nanami said, his voice firm. "We'll assemble a team to investigate this matter further and devise a plan to bring Geto back safely.
A day later
It had been a day since Gojo and the others had started their relentless search for Geto's kidnappers. Gojo was enraged and frustrated by the lack of development and solutions.
Gojo was pacing back and forth as his head was filled with endless questions, each of which made him angrier. "How is this possible? He said, his voice choked with sadness, "Who could have done this to Geto.
As he considered the possibilities, his thoughts drifted to the higher-ups—the secretive and influential figures who held power within the jujutsu world. A seed of suspicion began to take root in his mind. Could they be behind Geto's kidnapping? Did they truly trust him and do as they had promised?
"No, that's impossible," Gojo finally said aloud, dismissing the thought. "They gave their word that they wouldn't interfere."
But as the hours passed, the doubts continued to gnaw at him. The jujutsu world was filled with lies and even the most solemn promises could be broken in the face of shifting circumstances.
Meanwhile
Midway through her mission, Utahime's heart skipped a beat as her phone rang unexpectedly. Surprised by the sudden call, she swiftly answered, immediately recognizing Mei Mei's familiar voice on the other end.
"Mei Mei, is everything alright?" Utahime asked.
"Utahime, could you believe what's happening?" Mei Mei's tone held a mix of shock and concern. "It seems like Geto has been kidnapped."
Utahime listened to Mei Mei's words, the shock of the news still fresh in her mind. Geto kidnapped? It was an unthinkable act, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for him.
"By who?" Utahime asked. She knew that Geto may had some enemies, but the thought of him being taken against his will was deeply troubling.
Mei Mei shook her head. "No one knows for sure. The news is spreading quickly, and it won't be long before our students catch wind of it too.
Our students look up to Geto, and if they find out, they'll undoubtedly want to join the search of him."
Utahime's mind raced, considering the implications of Geto's kidnapping on the students at Jujutsu High. She knew how well-liked Geto was among his pupils and the other sorcerers. His disappearance would undoubtedly cause a stir, and she worried about the potential consequences.
"What about Gojo?" Utahime inquired, knowing how close he and Geto were. "How is he handling the news?"
Mei Mei's expression turned serious as she replied, "He's not doing well at all. I heard from one of the sorcerers that saw him; he looked like he was ready to explode with rage. It's not a good time to approach him."
Utahime's heart sank at the thought of Gojo in such turmoil. She knew how deeply connected he and Geto were, and she couldn't bear to imagine the pain he must be feeling. Despite her own feelings for Gojo, she couldn't help but empathize with his suffering.
As Mei Mei continued to speak, Utahime realized that her chances of winning Gojo's affections were slim, if not nonexistent. His bond with Geto ran far deeper than she had ever imagined, and she knew that she could never compete with that history.
"Mei Mei, I know it's not typical for me to suggest such a thing, but let's help look for Geto as well," Utahime proposed, her voice determined. "I may not be as close to him as the rest are, but if there's anything I can do, I should do it."
Back in Tokyo
In the tense hours that followed, with still no trace of Geto, Gojo's patience wore thin, and his worry escalated. Unable to bear the uncertainty any longer, he decided to confront the higher-ups directly.
With a frenzied mania, he stormed into the chambers of the higher-ups, no longer exuding his usual charisma.
"Where is Geto?" he shouted, his voice echoing through the room. "Tell me now!"
Gojo's eyes flashed with unrestrained rage as he demanded answers. The higher-ups exchanged uneasy glances, clearly taken aback by Gojo's uncharacteristic outburst.
One of the higher-up members, his expression cold, retorted, "Why don't you ask your clan? They might have more answers than we do."
Gojo's heart sank at the insinuation. Could his own clan be involved in Geto's disappearance? The thought was unthinkable, and yet, he couldn't ignore the possibility.
Without hesitation, Gojo stormed off to confront his clan, needing to know the truth, no matter how painful it might be. As he neared the doors of his ancestral home, he could feel the weight of his actions, the repercussions of facing his family head-on.
The atmosphere inside the clan's headquarters was cold and formal, a stark contrast to the warmth and camaraderie he once felt among his relatives. The portraits of his ancestors looked down upon him, and he couldn't help but feel like an intruder in his own home.
As he demanded answers, the shocking reality began to unfold before him. His own clan had orchestrated Geto's kidnapping, seeking to manipulate and control Gojo for their own gain.
A representative from his clan presented him with a picture of Geto, bloodied and wounded. The sight shattered what little restraint Gojo had left. He let out an anguished scream, his heart torn by the sight of his lover suffering.
The rage within him welled up like a tidal wave, and he felt consumed by a relentless bloodlust.
Gojo's power swelled to unthinkable heights in the heat of his anger. He immediately killed the family representative who had showed him the image without a second thought, a single act of revenge and relief for the sorrow he felt.
"This is war," Gojo declared, his voice low and seething with lethal intent.
Having unleashed his fury, Gojo turned his back on his clan and the higher-ups, his heart heavy with betrayal and sorrow. His trust shattered, he vowed to take matters into his own hands, to protect those he cared for and to seek justice for the injustice that had befallen Geto.
