Alberts POV:
While y/n ran inside to get a blanket and some snacks, I searched the garage for a skateboard.
Instead I came across a black backpack.
Now, usually I'm not one to snoop around, but this particular bag caught my eye.
It had a Flim Flam pin on the front of it and a keychain as well.
Naturally, curiosity got the best of me.
Quietly, yet swiftly I unzipped the largest part and took a peek.
A vision board and a notebook..
I didn't want y/n to see me looking through her stuff so I took some pictures of it.
The parts I got to see sure were interesting and I just had to see more.
Before she could come back I put it away and looked yet again for the skateboard.
Of course, being me, I walked right by it when I first came in, entirely missing it.
Some time passed and we were setting up a blanket on the grass.
It was really nice outside. The sun was beaming and there was a slight breeze that was just enough to keep us cool.
Y/n took out the snacks she packed, one by one. The way she gracefully took each item out of her bag amazed me. She made sure everything was picture perfect.
She went about things in a peculiar way, she intrigued me.
Simply watching her go about her day or do basic things could entertain me for hours.
How could someone be so beautiful and just so epic.
Maybe I shouldn't be thinking like that.. but it's the truth. I mean anyone could see how perfect she is, doesn't mean I have feelings.. at least feelings that I'll act upon.
Y/n: Something on your mind?
Yeah you. Always you. It's been you since I met you. The never ending, never leaving thought.
Albert: Nothing in particular. But wouldn't you like to know?
It's so fun to tease her since she gets so flustered.
Y/n: Guess I won't check in ever again
Albert: Woah okay miss attitude
Y/n: Well
Albert: It's okay I know you're so concerned so you can check in whenever
Y/n: Yeah yeah whatever
We ate our snacks and chatted.
Some time passed and I was getting restless.
It's hard for me to sit still for a while.
I grabbed the skateboard and pulled y/n up by her hand.
Y/n: No no no I am not doing this
Albert: It's okay I got you
Y/n: Albert I'm not playing. I'm not getting on that thing
Albert: Come on y/n, I'll hold your hand and guide you. What's the worst that could happen?
Y/n: Um you let go and I crash and die?
Albert: But I would never
Y/n: You're on crutches how can you even help me
Albert: Oh I didn't think about that.. but I can walk along side you and you can hold onto my arm
She finally caved in.
I helped her get on the board and ahead held onto my bicep with two hands.
Y/n squeezed my arm and I started moving at a steady pace.
Every time we hit a bump she would squeeze a bit harder, it was cute.
Y/n: You know what this isn't so bad Albert
Albert: Girl what did I tell you
Y/n: Okay sassy
Albert: It's true though bud
She worked up the courage to go on her own about an hour after pushing her around.
She went around the oval about 10 times until getting tired. Then she came over and sat on the blanket with me.
Y/n: Albert lay down
Albert: What, why?
Y/n: Just do it
So I did. I lay down and she did too, right beside me.
Albert: So why are we doing this
Y/n: Look at that cloud. Right above that tree in the way back
Albert: I'm looking
Y/n: Doesn't it look like a fish
Albert: Haha you're right it does. And that one over there looks like a palm tree
Y/n: Ah yes, very descriptive Albert. Over where?
Albert: Let me show you
Y/n POV:
He moved his body closer to mine.
His shoulder pressing up against me. He then grabbed my arm and pointed up trying to direct me to the cloud.
Y/n: Oh I think I see it
It took me a minute but I got it.
He let go of my arm and I kept looking for other interesting clouds.
At this point he was turned on his side facing towards me.
I turned my head to face him as well.
He was smiling such a big smile, like he was purely happy, as if all his problems had disappeared.
Y/n: What?
Albert: What do you mean what I'm just looking at you
Y/n: Yeah but why
Albert: Because you're very nice to look at
My heart fluttered.
I couldn't help but smile and stare back.
His eyes motioned down to my lips and back up again.
Oh man.
Albert repositioned himself again. This time he was hovering over me, with each arm planted next to my sides.
Y/n: Albert..
For a brief moment part of me wanted to resist, but that quickly went away when he put his hand on my face.
Albert smiled his stupid big smile again.
Albert: Yes, y/n?
No way this is real.
Before wasting another moment he lowered himself and his lips met mine.
He's too smooth.
I put my hands on the back of his neck, moving one hand up to his hair.
Before I knew it we were full on making out.
Woah.
After a while, way too short of a while, he lay back down beside me.
I didn't fully comprehend what had just happened, but I knew I wanted it to happen again.
Albert: So what was it you were saying?
Oh shoot.
Y/n: Oh um I was just thinking we should probably leave soon to get ready for the party
Alberts POV:
She's right, but all I want to do is sit here and just be with her.
Even if it's silent or seems awkward.
Albert: Yeah you're right let's head back
Our phones started ringing.
It was the group chat.
She joined the call and I moved out of frame.
Jess: Oh so she is alive
Jake: Didn't you call her?
Jess: Oh well uh-
Kaden: Why haven't you been answering?
Raven: Yeah you haven't replied to the past 300 texts
Jess: We've been worried
Jake: Who's we?
Jess: Jake be so for real right now
Kaden: So are you gonna tell us what happened or what
Y/n: So basically Albert fell off the roof and broke his leg and
Jake: HOLD ON
Y/n: Shut up let me finish
Jess: Oop-
Y/n: He tried to grab the gutter to catch himself and cut his hand open, got a mild concussion and went unconscious. So I ran in and called an ambulance and we stayed the night at the hospital. We couldn't go to school since they hadn't discharged him until later. My mom came and got us and he stayed over. We'll be at the party later still since he's on crutches and wants the distraction. Any questions?
Everyone went silent.
Jake: What the flip
Raven: Is he okay? And are you okay girl
I popped into camera and answered.
Albert: He's doing great and she seems to be great too
She looked at me as I said this and smiled.
Kaden: Anyone else find this insane?
Raven: Duh Kaden, we all do
Albert: Anyways we've got to get ready and you all do too
Y/n: See you later pals
Jake: Alrighty then
Everyone said goodbye and we hung up.
Y/n: Albert how's your hand doing by the way
Albert: Not awful
Y/n: I'll get you some new wrap when we get home
She helped me stand up best she could and grabbed our things.
Meanwhile..
Jess POV:
She really dropped that on us and left.
At least we'll see them at the party.
And I'll see Jake.
Maybe I'll go over and get ready with y/n and Albert. That way she can help me figure out what to wear and do my makeup.
I started my car and sat for a minute thinking.
Since the group chat call Jake has been spamming me on snap.
He has to feel the same right?
This made me feel so excited.
I mean it really feels like we're doing things over the right way.
The whole drive to y/n's a million thoughts ran through my mind.
There was so much uncertainty but I had hope tonight would help clear things up.
Let's switch things up..
Third person POV:
While Jess drove to y/n's house, Kaden was on his way to Ravens.
Kaden and Raven have been together for four years now.
It all started in elementary school.
They've been two peas in a pod since the day they met in second grade.
Their love story is so beautiful, y/n was always sort of jealous.
Honestly anyone would be with how cute they were.
Sure they were cringy at times though.
Once Kaden got to Ravens they talked in the kitchen about what they think might go down at the party.
Raven: I bet you $10 Jake and Jess get back together
Kaden: I don't know about that one
Raven: Oh come on have you not seen the way they act around each other? They're meant to be
Kaden: Yeah but they're both being sort of stubborn right now
Raven: True. Okay what about y/n and Albert
Kaden: I'm not so sure about him. Jake told me he's had a history of being a player and y/n doesn't need that in her life
Raven: This seems different than that though. They click together
Kaden: I guess we'll have to find out tonight
Raven: And we can have our own fun tonight
Raven motioned him over to him and put her hands over his shoulders.
He grabbed her waist and kissed her gently before picking her up and putting her on the counter.
You could imagine what happened next.
Things were going quite well for everyone.. a little too well.
