This is a longer chapter.
Ink's POV
I sat in the bed, scrolling through social media on my phone. Error stood in front of the mirror in his closet and fastened his neck tie. He was getting ready for work and today was particularly special as I would be having my interview today.
Error had promised that he would see about getting me an internship at his company for interior design and architecture. He was able to find a spot that was open and luckily it was directly under Damien. I thought that the werewolf was quite enjoyable to be around. Though he may call me Jailbait, he was still a very nice person.
My boyfriend walked out of the closet once he was done putting on his suit jacket.
Error: Are you ready for today?
Me: Yeah. I got my resume printed out and Tisha said that she will be able to drop me off there.
Error: Good. One more thing. Since this is my company, I will be treating this interview as if I don't know you. I need to uphold the professional standards as well as the quality of the labor provided.
I nodded as a way to say that I understood however, my anxiety suddenly increased by a lot knowing what Error just stated.
Error: Do you remember when the interview is?
Me: At 10:30 am.
He nodded with a smile before spraying cologne and clipping on an expensive watch.
I pushed myself up from the bed, walking with him into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. The little time that we had together in the morning was always pleasant. We would have breakfast and coffee together before Error would leave for work.
Error: I think I might do black coffee today.
Me: Just how I like my men.
Error froze, stopping his current task. He glanced at me with an unamused look but I could see blush on his cheeks.
Error: Did you really just say that?
I nodded proudly of my joke. He sighed while taking a sip of his freshly brewed coffee. He found his spot next to me and began scrolling through his morning notifications.
Error: So, how is college hunting?
Me: I have... kinda been procrastinating about that.
I said awkwardly, rubbing the back of my neck shyly. Error looked up from his phone and gave a concerned look.
Error: The due date for applications is almost approaching. You're going to miss it.
Me: Yeah, I know but I'm afraid that they might reject me. My grades weren't the greatest and I have a history with history class that I'm not proud to talk about. Especially to you since you practically know everything about history.
I said, looking at the marbled counter shamefully. Suddenly I felt the gentle touch of a hand on my shoulder. I looked back to see Error smiling reassuringly.
Error: Don't think like that, Inky. I know that whatever university you apply for will accept you. I'm certain that they will see what I see in you. You are someone that has grown tremendously ever since the first day that I took you in. Schools like that within a person since they think that builds character and shows that you are willing to learn.
I thanked him but something deep down still had that fear of not succeeding in finding a school to attend. I wanted to make Error proud of me and even my parents, if they were watching me from the afterlife.
A few minutes after our conversation, Error had to leave for work which left me alone in the silence. However Mello was there to keep me company as I prepared myself for my interview.
(Time Skip)
I stood in front of the mirror that hung on one of the living room walls, staring at myself and the outfit that I wore.
I wore a new suit that Error had tailored personally for me for this interview. It looked so grownup and formal. I almost couldn't believe that I was actually an adult now and no longer a high schooler.
The sound of the door bell broke my thoughts, most likely being Tisha. A sigh slipped from my mouth as I tightened my neck tie and began walking to the door. I was greeted with my best friend upon opening it.
Tisha: Oh my god, you look so good. If you weren't gay and into older men, I totally would have dated you.
I giggled from her strange comment but I took it as a compliment nonetheless.
Tisha and I walked back to her car, catching up from the few days that we didn't hangout together. The conversations with her helped me relax and not stress out about the internship interview that we were currently driving to.
However it was too good to last as we pulled in front of the huge building that housed the interior design company that my boyfriend owned.
Tisha: Good luck!
She yelled to me as I approached the front door. I waved back to her, eventually walking inside.
The stress that I had instantly came back to me as I looked around. Several people walked around, talking with each other or talking on the phone. The interior design of the building was artistic and intricate but still modern enough for everyone's eyes. If I get this internship, I think I will like this place and this was just the lobby.
After a quick look around I was able to find the front desk. A lady sat behind it, typing on her computer and talking to someone through a headset. Once she noticed me, she directed the conversation to an end and turned to me and showed a welcoming smile.
Lady: Hi! Can I help you with something?
Me: Yes. I have an interview with Error Queen and Damien Moon-Strider.
Lady: Oh yes, Ink Comyet, correct?
I nodded, thankful that I went to the right desk and didn't make a fool of myself.
Lady: They are waiting for you on the tenth floor in room five.
Me: Thank you.
She pointed me in the direction of the elevator and went back to her previous work. I lightly jogged down the hall and into the elevator, pushing the button with the correlating floor number.
'Ten floors?! Error owns ten floors? And a whole separate building in a different city? How rich actually is he?'
As the number changed from one to two to three, my anxiety sparked up again. I know I knew both of the people that was interviewing me but I had no idea if I was good enough for this job.
The doors opened and I instantly wished that I could just leave. I couldn't understand why I was so nervous about this.
I left the elevator and headed down the long hallway, soon finding the room with the number five on it.
I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. An all too familiar voice gave me permission to entire the room. I gently pushed open the glass door and saw two people sitting at the large conference table. Error and Damien were talking with each other but they stopped when I stood at the opposite end of the room.
Error: It's a pleasure to have you here, Mr Comyet. Please sit down wherever you like and then we can get started.
Error's change in voice shocked me. At home he was calm and sweet but here, he was strong spoken and showed obvious signs of leadership.
Error: Please tell us...
Why do you want this job?
