Lonnie and (y/n) were currently on their break together, (y/n) had her headphones on playing some random mobile game as a passing time while Lonnie stared at the girl in deep thought.
Lonnie knew she had to get more information out of the girl even if she hated doing so especially since it was all so a very disturbed man could have the upper hand.
But her job depended on it. And she really needed this job.
If Lonnie could go back in time she would erase the part where she ever got involved with Koren Lucas.
if you haven't figured it out already the truth is that Lonnie knows about Koren's true Nature.
When Lonnie started working a the co-owned restaurant Koren took an interest in her looks and fiery personality. Lonnie was originally supposed to be one of his 'projects'.
Koren had asked Lonnie out on a date, it was already off-putting to her that somehow she and the man had every single thing in common but she tried to shrug it off and continue the night.
Of course, one thing led to another and they ended up drunkenly hooking up at Koren's apartment. With the already existing weird feeling she had about the man, she did what any other girl would do and went through his phone while he was in the shower.
Lo and behold he had a note in his phone practically filled to the brim with all the things she liked and facts about them, and not just her either there were at least over a hundred girls. Her being drunk and stupid confronted him when he got out of the shower.
Of course, in true male fashion, he tried denying it at first, then manipulating but Lonnie being drunk and the person that she is didn't budge so he confessed everything that night and let the prince charming mask fall.
They came to an agreement that she would keep her mouth shut and they would just have fun together because c'mon you can't deny the man is hot garbage.
Lonnie mostly agreed to it because Koren is her boss and she was afraid if she said otherwise he would just fire her on the spot. Koren of course paid no mind to that and actually spent the rest of the night gloating about all the women he's hurt and was happy he finally had someone to talk to about his favorite hobby. (go get fucking therapy damn)
Lonnie's first initial thought was 'Hey so he's a little mentally unstable but he's really just a shitty guy right? there are tons of those in the world'
Well the one that really did it for her was when The man was practically hysterical about how a girl hospitalized herself over him.
Not only did the man not feel a shred of guilt for what he put this girl and her family through he thought that the girl attempting to take her own life and getting put in a psych ward was hilarious.
The saddest part about this story was when the family tried to press charges all Koren had to do was play the part of a worried ex-boyfriend and shed a few crocodile tears to get authorities to believe he was innocent.
She was already unsettled with Koren's behavior but in all honesty, she was terrified of what the man was capable of. He swears up and down he would never hit a woman but Lonnie can't say for sure that she believes him.
So due to her fear of the man whenever he wants something from her she gives it with no complaints, usually, he just wants someone to vent to and gloat about everything he's done since she's really the only person he can talk to about it.
Only under the condition that he never involves her in his sick game but as you know the man broke that boundary today.
There are plenty of reasons Lonnie doesn't wanna do what the man is asking of her, not just because it's cruel but because the woman just has a very terrible feeling this time around.
Not the usual feeling she gets when she knows the man is up to no good, but she feels things will end very badly for the both of them this time and she doesn't know why she has this feeling.
So the woman has two options right now. She can warn the young lady about what his plans are for her and what kind of person he is though this would risk losing her job.
Or she can do what the man asks and obtain some basic information about her and keep the peace she has in her life.
"uh, Lonnie?" The woman was broken out of her thoughts by the young girl's voice "Sorry, what?" The woman replied.
"Oh nothing you've just been staring at me for a while, did you need something?" Lonnie's face began to heat up a bit in embarrassment before she giggled a bit.
"Sorry hun, I was just spacing out but it is time to go back out there soon are you ready?" Lonnie asks "Yea I'll start heading out".
"Oh wait (y/n) hold up a second" the woman spoke. you looked up at the woman waiting to hear what she wanted.
"Listen I like you so far I was just hoping that maybe we could be friends?" Lonnie asks you.
You thought about it for a moment and Lonnie seemed like a good person so you didn't mind "Uh okay sure hold on here's my number."
After the two exchanged contacts the young girl left to head back to work while to older woman thought about her choices and what she should do.
I really want to warn her but...
I don't wanna be a coward anymore.
But I need this job.
The woman thought about it a minute longer before heading back out to her section. She had made up her mind. She knew what she was going to do now.

It has been a couple of hours of working since your break, there were fewer people and it was nearing closing time.
You and a couple of other employees who had taken the time to introduce themselves were cleaning up the restaurant while others left.
"Hey (y/n)!" As you were clearing a table you heard the enthusiastic voice of your boss.
"Sorry didn't mean to sneak up on you Lonnie was just telling me that you did really well today!" Allegra said with a cheery smile.
You looked at her and smiled in appreciation, but before you could respond she spoke again.
"I just wanted to tell you that before I leave I have some things I need to take care of elsewhere, my partner will close the store for the night, Keep up the good work!" The woman spoke in a rush before heading out.
you just shrugged your shoulders and continued cleaning the table.
Once you finished Lonnie asked you to take some trash out the back "You remember where it is right?" you just nodded and started walking towards the back doors.
This job seems pretty okay so far
Everyone I met seemed nice
You knew how your uncle was gonna act once you told him you'd probably be staying. He'd get that stupid smug look on his face and say he told you so he'll probably also bug you about a family discount.
He's annoying but you love him, you smiled thinking about your dorky uncle also not really paying attention to your surroundings as you made the turn toward the back doors you harshly and embarrassingly bumped into a strong chest.
You almost key word almost fell on your ass but a strong hand grabbing your arm stopped you from falling to your death.
The same hand pulled you up with (in your opinion) unnecessary force that almost gave you whiplash. You then heard a chuckle followed by a man's voice.
"You alright?" after recovering from your almost death (falling on your ass) you looked up because damn this bitch was tall and you were faced with a very handsome face.
Looking at the man he had very pretty and a little too pretty in your opinion green eyes, he had sharp facial features similar to your partner, black hair in a sort of shaggy mullet style, and based on what you can see you're guessing he's about 5'11 - 6'0.
"Yeah thank you and sorry" you replied in the usual awkward and dry manner you have when meeting new people.
The man who was still a mystery to you lightly chuckled again before replying "No need to apologize, love, you should really pay more to your surroundings though don't want you getting hurt. What were you all smiley about?" The man asked.
Now even more embarrassed because you probably looked like a fucking idiot smiling and not paying attention then almost dying.

and probably cry too
"Oh, nothing just spacing out haha," you said awkwardly scratching the back of your neck.
The man's smile turned into a light smirk "Well I hope you'll share that with me one day little lady, My name is Koren by the way I'm the head cook here and the second owner I'm assuming you're our newest waitress?"
The man you now know as Koren asked.
"Uh yeah, that's me nice to meet you sir sorry again" Koren let out a snort before responding to you "That's adorable but you drop the sir I like things casual, and again no need to apologize.
The man was clearly trying hard to contain his smirk but you were just so amusing to him he'd yet to play with someone so shy and quiet.
"Well I hate to cut this meeting short but duty calls I hope I'll be seeing you around (y/n)" The man winked before turning on his heel to what you assumed was another kitchen entrance.
what a weird guy you thought to yourself before continuing your task.
Unbeknownst to you, The said man's face was coated in an unusual amount of blush for him but he shrugged it off as excitement for his future plans.
Aw she was struggling to make eye contact
The man cooed.
It will take a minute to get used to her closed-off personality but so far I like it
