POV: Enid
I try getting out of her strong grip, but failed again for the sixth times.
"You don't give up easily do you? Olivia asked, her head looking forward as she carries me out of the large hallways.
I decided to ignore her question and accepted my fate that she had a strong grip on me and there's no way I could get out unless she let me go, which I know won't be happening soon because she's just as stubborn as me-
I was brought out of my trance when I suddenly felt Olivia's grip loosen around me as she stumbles on something.
Out of the fear of falling down, I subconsciously snaked my arms around her neck and intertwined my fingers at the back of her neck as tightly as I could. I shot my eyes close waiting for what comes next.
"Comfy now, are we?" Olivia asked, glancing down at me with a mischievous smirk on her lips.
I rolled my eyes at the blonde, retrieving my arms from her neck. As soon as I did, I felt like I was about to fall again, fear raising within me again.
"Don't worry princess, you won't fall," Olivia said before falling into a fit of laughter.
She was doing it on purpose! She didn't stumbled on anything!! I so hate her!!
"If by any chance, I slightly touch the ground, I'm gonna kill you. " I warned, to which she just gave me a mischievous grin.
"Feisty, I like it," the blond said giving me a wink.
I groaned in frustration which Olivia only found amusing and start chuckling softly.
After what seems like three minutes or so, we arrived at the parking lot. Olivia slowly put me down and went for her motorcycle, which was painted black and a curved strokes of dark haunting purple added to touch of flavor. It frame was sleek and light. By the look of it, I can tell it is very expensive.
Olivia's bike
I crossed my arms and turn on my heels to face her. " So why did you bring me out here?"
"Take this and put it on." Olivia said ignoring my question and handing me one of her helmet.
"And why should I?"
"You know all you have to do is just ask for me to put it on for you, babe." she says teasingly. I quickly grab the helmet from her.
"Why did you bring me out here Olivia?" I asked again.
"So you know my name huh?" She asked rherectorically. I just stayed quiet and gave her 'I'm serious right now' face.
"We have a project to work on remember?" She asked, as she put on her helmet.
"Yes I know, but why did you bring me out here? And why should I put this on?" I asked, moving my right hand forward showing her the helmet.
"So we could start doing it today, just come with me" Olivia said climbing her bike and bringing her motorcycle to life.
"No way I'm skipping school because of you I have grades to maintain, everybody ain't rich like you." I simply tell the taller girl, my tone full with attitude.
"You won't get into any trouble, so just drop the drama and sit behind me already." The blue eyed girl says, her voice laced with a tint of irritation but she ignored my attitude.
"Besides we have only one class left before school is over, and we're not skipping for fun but to do school work." She added trying to convince me.
I don't want to miss any class. But I also what to get this over with quickly. I will just ask Mia to help me with the notes.
"Fine." I agreed.
"Took you long, now let's get going." Olivia retorted, to which I just rolled my eyes and put on the helmet. She patt behind her for me to climb.
"You need help princess?" Olivia teased.
"This is kidnapping you know?" I say, as I climb behind her.
"Nah, you agreed to come with me because of my dashing smile," says Olivia smiling smugly.
"You're so full of yourself." I replied, my vioce full of annoyance.
"Maybe, but I wanna be full of you," she said. I couldn't see her face but I know damn well that stupid smirk of hers is already painted on her lips.
"Can you just shut up and drive?" she just snickered and start driving.
"Hold on tight babe."
"I told you to stop call-" I did not get to finish my statement as the stupid blonde started driving at an insane speed. "Are you trying to get me kill now?!" I asked furious.
"I told you to hold on." Was all the stupid blonde could say.
She took one of my hand, wrapping it around her lower back. "Just hold on to me I don't bite," Olivia teased.
I rolled my eyes at her, even though she couldn't see me. But I decided to do as she said and snaked my other hand around her, as I did I felt a jolt of electricity through my body. It was a strange feeling, but I chose to ignored it.
After she was sure I had a tight hold of her, she started riding at an high speed again. I didn't complain this time because the wind in my face felt nice. I felt a sense of freedom that I haven't felt in the past five years. But it didn't last long, as her motorcycle came to a halt.
She parked her bike and I quickly got off, she followed suit.
"We are here princess." Olivia did a playful bow to which I rolled my eyes at before I turn to see the breathtaking view in front of me.
The salty ocean breeze caressing my face instantly. The late afternoon sun warming my skin and gilding the whole area with a spectacular hue of gold. The vast and endless blue sky is decorated with a few floating white clouds. I can hear the rustling of leaves and tall palm trees not far from the shores.
I've always loved the beach, and I missed it so much. Back at home in kenya, we lived near the beach, mum and I always love going to the beach.
POV:Olivia
I stood there watching Jones admire the beach as if it was her first time being here. I don't blame the girl though, this place is amazing and I love coming here since I was a kid. It's always calm and peaceful.
I quickly took out my camera from my bag and took a picture of the beautiful view in front of me; Enid has a bright smile painted on her plump red lips, it was the very first time I saw her smile for real. And it was so contagious, I found myself smiling too. The wind whispering through her long beautiful brunette hair and her amber eyes changing from honey brown to golden yellow due to the sun's penetration. Her side profile is so breathtaking.
After I was satisfied with the picture I took, I quickly put the camera back in my bag. I grab Enid's wrist taking her by surprise, dragging her to a local ice cream shop.
"Grayson, I was literally enjoying the view!" Enid tried to object to me dragging her. I looked at her giving her a cheeky smile as I continue to pull her with me as we entered the cold ice cream shop.
"Hi!, how can I help you guys" a middle-aged woman asked, sliding on the plastic gloves.
Enid gave me a hesitant look, I gave her a reassuring nod.
Enid stared down at the ice cream flavors, clearly giving her order a serious thought.
Sensing she was going to take long I said, " I'll just take one scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough in a waffle cone please."
The woman nodded, grabbing the waffle cone and scooping the ice cream on to it before handing it over to me, "And for you?" She asked, smiling politely.
Enid pointed shyly at one of the flavors "I'll take one scoop of cake batter in a waffle cone," she said, and the lady nodded, grabbing a waffle cone and scooping a cake batter ice cream on to it. "Thank you," Enid said as she took the cone from her.
As we walked to the register the woman waved us off "It's on the house."
I shook my head, "no it's fine-" I said.
"Seriously, call it a free ice cream date," she said smiling as she looked between us. " You two are the cutest couple"
My lips twitched up into a smirk, I eyed Enid who face palmed herself with her free hand to our outing being referred to as a date.
She pursed her lips into a tight smile, "thank you so much- this one goes through a tub of ice cream a day so I'll take what I can get," she told the lady, earning a laugh from her.
I narrowed my eyes at her, " well, this one over here makes one bag of popcorn everyday after school, and get this-" I took a step closer to the counter, leaning in closer to the woman, "-she doesn't even eat the popcorn, she just lick the butter off of the inside bag."
The woman looked over at her with a tilted head, as Enid narrowed her eyes at me, shaking her head as she said, " okay, we should eat our ice cream before they melts"
I turned around my expression clearly amused, "of course, babe-hey thanks for the free ice cream"
"You're welcome!" The woman said, but it was clear she was still confused.
As soon as we made it outside of the ice cream shop, Enid smacked my arm, causing a string of laughter to escape my parted lips.
"Literally, what is wrong with you?" She asked, but I only laughed harder.
"You should have seen her face-no you should have seen your face," I said between laughers, which made her rolled her eyes, eating her ice cream. As we sat down on the outdoor bench. I let out sigh of content, my laugher finally dying down. "Best date ever," I said, which made her shake her head
"Not a date," she said, but I only shrugged, smirking as I ate my ice cream.
I peered out at the beach, listening to the seagulls by the sea as I ate my ice cream, and after a few moments of silent, I looked over realising it was too quiet.
And upon turning my head, I felt my breath hitched slightily in my throat- Enid wasn't doinig anything just staring forward as she ate her ice cream, but there was something about her side profile. The way the wind blew her hair in my face, her scent was intoxicating. And the way she ate her ice cream which was suddenly making look good, and now I was wishing I got cake batter too.
Cookie dough just doesn't sound that appealing anymore.
I blinked a few times when I noticed myself zoning into Enid's pink tongue gliding into the white ice cream, urging my very inappropriate thought away.
